In the 2013 season, everything was well balanced: a machine’s capability, a course layout, and driver’s technique.
Those honed machines in 2013 will challenge this Battle Final 2014.

Great save no doubt but he only spun because he downshifted and dumped the clutch without blipping the throttle.
Then he's talking to the tuner telling him the car oversteers too much - TRY HEEL TOE!
and on the next video, he drove that MRS to the fastest first sector, in 24 seconds range. ..

to get a little bit quicker into the torque band
mhh3 doesn't it risk upsetting the balance of the car though?
it does, but tsuchiya is prepared to counter steer if needed. at 20:28 you can see when tsuchiya is kicking the clutch he turns the steering wheel just slightly to the left. he drives the ae86 for decades, he knows the behavior of his own car very good =)
mhh3 I know, but I think it could be hairy-business for amateurs, like me, to try and clutch kick in order to reach the powerband faster.
I drive a 01 mx5 1.6 and yes it is dangerous to do it in a corner, it's really scary when you are at the grip limit. these guys have balls of titanium ;)

In GTR's problem with ABS, is there any setting in the ABS control to input data to accommodate wheel size change? In vehicle that I'm working on there's data to input if we change wheel size and/or final drive ratio.

They should really use the whole course for the battles at least... Would be interesting, since that would demand a high level of overall balance of the cars.

Can somebody share information about TPS MR-S gearbox used as well as engine tuning mods?
This was early on. Gear box is still the same C60 and not the Lotus sequential like used in more recent times. TPS usually uses a pretty stock/rebuilt motor. The main change is the use of ITB's. In the specs break down of the vid it says its right around 200ps which is 197HP and that's probably wheel HP. It also mentions TODA Racing, which is probably cams or a 2.0L stroker kit. They still use the APEXi PFC for tuning. They use their own Spirits exhaust. An down by the transmission section it says C-ONE and an MT so maybe its a C-ONE special transmission possibly geared differently? Trans is then rounded out b the use of a Cusco RS 1.5 LSD. I wish I could read Japanese to decipher the rest. especially the suspension set up, but the Vid by Touge time does a awesome job doing that.

私はMR2は初代スーチャーと2代目初期と3期、MRSの2ZZ仕様と乗り継ぎましたが、2代目は重いし様々なバランスが他のミッドより悪いのでこのレベルでは無理です。スーチャーを240馬力ぐらいにして6速入れてスピリッツさんのように燃料タンク前置きにしてやると面白いと思います。それよりもMRSの足の造りが良いのでコーナーはMRSが速いです。
