I bought a 1500c a few weeks ago and I love it! It looks great and it sounds good too. The sturdy classic lines are aesthetically appealing and set up was straightforward nothing too fiddly or complicated- great for an old codger like me with arthritis and poor eyesight! I turned 60 and began my retirement back in spring this year. I decided to upgrade my HiFi system from top to bottom and after 20 years of storage in the attic I thought it time to recommission my vinyl collection. My main focus is on CD/SACD & Streaming so the turntable was a real luxury and only to be used for listening to "classic" vinyl from my collection- a real nostalgia trip. I have no intention in buying new vinyl, I just don't see the point, it's not for me. As a result I really didn't want to shell out a fortune on a hi-end turntable but I wanted something reliable, that looked good and would give me great sound at a great price. Nothing too fussy. The Technics has delivered 100% in every category, I couldn't be more pleased. Through time I might decide to make a few upgrades here and there- possibly buy a Funk Firm Kit 10 (so much for not wanting to spend too much on the turntable but you know how it goes guys!) My only niggle is that the semi auto return tends to lift before the end of the final track which is a real bugger- but that can easily be fixed by switching it off. I would recommend the turntable to anyone who's considering buying.
That is one sure nice turntable! Hope you guys are doing well, still love your style of unboxing, its got everything that comes with it, humour, information... the presenter, everything!
I purchased this about 2 months ago very happy with it. I purchased a ortophon 2m black cartridge, and use a Parusound phono preamp and also got the Warfdale Lintons speakers.
9:40 Nope, the pitchfader isn't a trickle down from DJ equipment; it's the other way around. DJs found out that it's useful for their application. The original intention of the pitchfader was to compensate for records that weren't cut/recorded at the correct speed.
Hi great review. I have been recommended to buy this over an Pro-Ject X1 or the new debut pro. It has a phono box already built in so you don’t have to buy it. Ignoring any price differential which may be slight is this a better turntable? I think it is heavier and it doesn’t look as odd as the X1. I am not an audiophile but I would like something nice in my home that I can occasionally play vinyl on. Any advice would be appreciated.

There are fixes for the auto lift problem. See ruclips.net/video/LVLhCdn8_Cw/видео.html&ab_channel=CHafecito
