The reason why the driver stop at bus stops even there are no passengers alighting or getting on is because all bus have their time schedule. If the bus keeps going without stopping they will reach bus interchange too early before schedule.
The bus captain is not afraid of ghost because he or she has to service for the ghost. SBS stand for spirit service bus, likewise for SMRT. Spirit must ride train also, because the roads or tunnels being dug through all the cemetaries where the spirit should rest in peace, especially the whole of Bishan area where the Chinese burial area for many centuries.

Used to live at Lim Chu Kang there. At Neo Tiew Road there HDB. (Now army training place). Abit scary but otherwise, its ok. Peaceful. Just mind the many dogs there
