The Jayda InStitches Show 2019
Brought to you by The InStitches Team! :)
This is perfect! I made one out of cotton and love it! I'm now making one for each room that has a small trash can. No more excuses to those who do not like to empty their cans.
Hi Leanne, great idea! That sounds both neat and tidy AND organized 😁
This is also great for holding pairs of knee-high stockings. And, I made a navy blue one for my husband to keep all of his white socks in 🤭🤭. Thanks Jayda for a great tutorial. 👍❤️🧵
Hi Dena, totally! It's a handy little dispenser ;) Thank you for watching!
I’m on my second one. Thanks so much for the pattern. Who would thumbs down this video?
Only a hater would give it a thumbs down. Haters gonna hate.
I just hunted this morning as we have been using grocery pickup since beginning of Covid-19. We reuse our plastic bags for cat litter disposal and lining smaller trash cans in the house. I was tired of bags stuffed under the sink. Love this pattern and am going to make some for friends too. Thanks for the great tutorial, so easy to follow.
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you Jada I cannot wait to get started on my bag dispenser. You are a great teacher, it was very easy to follow you.❤
Hi Kelly! Thank you for watching 😊
You are seriously so DARLING! Your video are so much fun!
Thank you so much for watching!
Just finished my fist one. Great, easy pattern. Will be making more! Thanks for an easy to follow video!
Wonderful! Thank you for watching!
🥰 I feel happy like a rainbow after this one!
💜💙💙💚💛🧡❤
You are a genius!
Hi Vivi! Thank you so much :)
Thank you from Tasmania Australia. I am making one for my sister as a “last minute” bday gift. I think it would also make a good drink bottle bag with a long strap as a handle😊 Or a reusable cloth dispenser. I started to make one after work last night and now I am awake early before work to do some more on it while I am in the rhythm of the repeating pattern. You are a great instructor😊
Hi Sarah! Thank you for watching 😊
I just made one if these for the first time! I love the stitch! This will also make a great gift bag for a bottle of wine if you close up the bottom of the bag. 🍾
Hi Karen! Totally! It's such a lovely stitch (I like how quick it is too) 😊
I can sure use this! I store my plastic bags in a plastic bag lol! Thank you! I haven’t seen any tutorials to make this, this is great!
At the intro is someone playing the piano? Sounds good. Brought back a memory of my grandmother playing the piano! She was a good player! God Rest her soul! I still miss her. I was very fortunate that she passed when I was 38 yrs old! 🙏😻🧶
Hi Sandy! That's a little bit of piano music, care of Google :) I need to tune my piano (incidentally, its my grandmother's!) and get back to playing!
You should play when you have time! I wish that I wanted to learn when my grandmother tried to teach me, just had no interest when I was a kid lol. Have a great day! 🙏😻🧶🎹
Thank you so much, I really needed one of these. It turned out great! Now I'm going to make more for my neighbors and friends!
Wonderful! Thank you for watching 😊
Jayda you’re the absolute BEST at explaining. This was a delight. God bless you lady. In these times, with the pandemic going on, this is ever so helpful. I am a big fan. I’ve made your shawl, I’ve made hats with your guidance. Your voice too is so soothing.
Hi Farida, Thank you so much for watching :) Stay safe and stay healthy!
Great tutorial! Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for sharing/teaching! 🌟
Hi Jamie! Thank you for watching 😊
Hi Jayeda. Thanks for the simple video. I made this yesterday with the help of your video. Bag came out very nicely. I am really very happy I learned another new product by watching your video.❤
Hi Ramya! Thank you for watching 😊
I’m 4 years late!! Just made this today. Needed a satisfying quick project to be able to finish and put to use immediately. It’s so cute. Love your channel!!❤
Wonderful! Thank you for watching Lynn 😊
Sat down and made this with you.....it is now hanging in my kitchen. Thankyou :D
HI Jacqueline, that's super! We hope you find it really useful :)
Handy item to make, so useful. Thanks! and hello all the way from South Africa.
We love useful items (and quick to make too!)
Thanks for the bag tutorial!! Just finished mine. Love it and was so easy to do😊
Wonderful! Thank you for watching 😊
I’m on my second now, but will be making a few. Made the pumpkin bags last night. Your the very best , and though I’ve crocheted since I was a teenager , you have taught me so many more stitches , and how I enjoy learning from your tutorials. Thank you both so much . Patsy
Hi Patsy, we're so happy to hear that!! Thank you for watching 💗
I just finished mine today. I did a color change in the middle...so easy to do. Great pattern!
Awesome! Thank you for watching Stacey!
I have made two dispensers, and very happy with them. Thank you again for sharing your expertise.
Hi Maria, Thank you for watching 😊
Wow just love that colour love love love thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching Barbara!
Hey Mrs. InStitches,
I tried using a stretchy ponytail holder to start mine off and it works great. A little more functional. 40 double crochets around the ponytail holder and everything else the same.
This is a great tutorial, very easy to follow. I love the ones I made.
Hi Robin, neat-o! Thank you for sharing your tip 😁
I was just fighting with my mess of plastic bags, this tutorial came right on time. Thank you I will be making this tomorrow, as it is after midnight now.
Hi Jan! I hope you got some sleep :) Thank you for watching!
Jayda InStitches you are very welcome. I have learned so much from you.
😢hhhh chod ok but tInvoice heade😅😅😅rhe😮😮: *** Inc.hodi😮😮😢I
O(o)🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yay! I really needed this! oddly enough, my State is not allowing retailers to use plastic bags come the next year. They are coming up with something that the public is going to be forced to buy whenever they make a purchase in a store and their items are bagged. I live in the state with the most taxes and I marvel at the way they managed to come up with new ways to tax us. LOL
But I honestly use plastic bags to line my smaller garbage cans that we use in bedrooms and bathroom. And then with me being chronically ill I usually have one hanging up on the handle that adjusts my tension Pole by my bed. So I'm really going to be at a loss when they outlaw them here. But I still want to make a holder until all the plastic bags are going out of circulation I will certainly get a ton of use out of it!
There are always lots of uses for plastic bags! Thank you for watching Maschelle :)
I just made this. It was so much fun that I made 15 rounds of the split shell and one round of the 5 DC's. I got carried away with the rounds..lol. thanks for this tutorial #JaydaInStitches 🧶❤️
* giggle * it will still work :) Thank you for watching!
@@JaydaInStitches Oh yes! It's all finished, filled with bags and hanging in my room. I need to post it to your FB page 🧶
I made some of these years ago using a hair tie for the opening and just working it up to the top. I love to see a new stitch used. 🥰🧶🦙🐑🐫🐛🧶🥰
What a great idea! That keeps some elasticity to the bottom :)
Did you just do your chain stitch around the hair tie?
such a quick work up😊will be making many more
Thank you for watching 😊
What a cute idea! Good stash buster. Thank you for the demo.
Absolutely a great stash buster...and mobile too!
Awesome tutorial and pattern. Thanks for sharing. I made it for my mom's plastic bags. It turned out awesome! I used a hair band at the start with the chain 20.
Thank you for watching!
This was a very fun project!
Hi Becky! Thank you for watching 😊
OMG. This is a great idea. Will be making this.
Thank you Diane! I hope your hubby's supper was a nice night out :)
Oh my Jayda, I needed one so I took my time watched your video, made it Thanks I love it...🥰🥰
I'm so glad! Thank you for watching 😊
Jayden I found your channel while searching for granny square tutorials. I appreciate how you explain step by step in your tutorials. Thank you!
Hi Regina! Thank you for watching :)
I love this, Jayda! I have a store bought one out of just material, but I am going to crochet some for my family members!! These are so very useful. I may even take my old one down and make myself a new one!⭐
This is definitely one of my main gifts for this Christmas season! I can think of a lot of family members who could use one :)
Ah this was so much fun to make!
Thank you for watching 😊
I love this pattern! Super easy and quick to do and making tons of them for Christmas this year. Thanks Jayda!!
You are so welcome! Merry Christmas Lorraine!
I love this idea
Love this pattern! Thanks bunches, Jayda!
Hi Cheryl! Thank you for watching 😊
WOW, Momma Institches spoke at the end!!! Cool pattern, maybe good idea for gift. I use my plastic and gather from friends to make plarn to crocheting. TFS ❣️💙💜 💚🧶
You could make this out of plarn too!
This would be a great project to use your plastic bags(plarn) to make. I love the variegated yarn!!!
Absolutely!
My family and I accumulate a lot of produce bags from the market which we use for picking up cat litter. We had them stashed in different areas but the dispenser you helped me create arranged them all in one place and with ease- thank you!
We have found it keeps them all under control here too :) And they fit into a smaller space, I love that! Thank you for watching :)
We recycle our plastic bags as lil trashcan liners and to empty litter boxes so these will look cute hanging above them!!
Us too! Any plastic bag that comes to us gets recycled, it's handy to have a nice place to keep them :)
Jayda I love this! I need this so bad... yes, yes...I got to get the go back tip you threw in there. But, I will catch that back slip stitch.
Hi Tina! Thank you for watching :)
Darn Jayda, I just bought the IKEA container for plastic bags LOL 😂. I’ll be giving it to Mom and making yours YAY 👌🏼. Thank you 🙏
* giggle * Well that works too! Thank you for watching :)

You totally made my day!!! You read my mind, I learn to crochet thanks to you❤️... will be definitely making this😍
That's super! Thank you for watching :)
We are trying to be plastic free in the uk , but I thought I would put my balled-up socks in one and hang it in my clothes cupboard. All my socks are black or grey so that would work for me I think.
* giggle * This would be a great sock dispenser! I love that idea!!
Very nice, looks quick & easy. Thanks
Thank you for watching 😊
My yarn is somewhat thin so I decided to double crochet around a hairband to start. Came out great. Thanks for the beautiful demo
Great idea! Thank you for watching Diana :)
Beautiful pattern. Going to make some for friends and family.
That's my plan too :)
Oh my I love that yarn
So cute! Great gift idea!
I can't wait to make this!!
Love this pattern. Making it again!
Thank you Cheryl 💗
Jus finished mine in a light gray. Very nice. Very pretty. Thank you an God bless! I'll definitely be making some more as gifts. I try not to use plastic but as you say. Lol
Yup, they still manage to show up, so we might as well reuse them! Thank you for watching :)
Wow this is so weird. I have been looking for a video for one of these last week. The ones I have found I didn’t care for. I was wishing you had one. Looking forward to this as I know you will teach me well.
Hi Kathy, great minds think alike! :)
I finished it and it came out great. Thank you! I like it because it holds just a bit and not a big blob of bags.
Thanks for the lovely and easy-to-follow-along instructions. I made this in 100% cotton and only (almost) used up a 50gram ball of yarn (10 double rows). Wonderful, thanks so much! Best wishes for 2020!
Happy New Year! Thank you for watching Nata!
I think I'll make a couple of these. Thanks for sharing this pattern with us all.😁
Thank you for watching!
I love this bag holder and many other ofyour patterns
Hi Julie! Thank you so much :)

Hi Deana, we'd love to see your photo :) Thank you for watching!
Awesome pattern!!!!
Thank you Dawn!
Gonna try these after work....provided i have mobile data left to view the video again. Will give me something to do....storms caused a city wide black out saturday morning. Im on day #4 with no power, but as soon as stores were up and running i bought a headlamp, so at least i can crochet at night!
If you can download the video. Then you will not use your data
Praying for you and your city.
Take care out there!
Sooo simple. Very fast and fun to do. Thanks and God bless!
Thank you for watching!
What a great idea! Thanks so much for this. Very cute!
Thank you for watching Krissi :)
I use the recycled bags at the grocery store, but am still interested. 😻
Great tutorial Jayda . I'm made mine in acrylic first to see if I like the stretch.
Hi Jackie! This pattern has a lot of stretch to it, and I find both the cotton and the acrylic ones I made tend to stretch about the same :)
Thank you jayda 💜 so cute love your channel 💜
Thank you for a great pattern and excellent tutorial. I'm on my second one. Just love the handles. And we don't need a ponytail thingy. I think they're wonderful and I want one hanging on the 🚪 handle wherever there's a 🗑 in my 🏠.
You are so welcome, Thank you for watching Marilyn!
@@JaydaInStitches do you happen to have a pattern for a plant hanger? Your videos are so good. You are easy to understand and your patterns are unique and not difficult. You are the best!
I love this pattern. I made one for myself and will be making one for my parents. Thank you for making these type of patterns.
Thank you for watching Krista :)
Jayde great easy tutorial to follow. Keep them coming. 3/4's of the way done with my first one. Plan on making more. Tks
Marvelous! Thank you Debra :)
I have been making bag holders. I wanted to try this pattern because I liked the look of it. However, I did not like the chain 5 spaces because I thought they were too large. I went to 32 stitches and made chain 4 spaces still ending with 8 chain spaces. Good pattern. Jayda should go buy a nice plastic yarn holder,
Thank you for explaining everything so well
Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you Jayda for this wonderful tutorial. I'm going to make some to sale at a local heritage fair in the fall. 👍🏼🌞💙🙂
Hi Sara, Thank you for watching!

@@hopemccoy what?!?
I love this pattern! Fun project! Thank you! And as usual, amazing instructions. Question: if I want to make the beginning hole smaller, should I add a row and decrease? Maybe single crochet?
K
@@Nancy-sv8wp decrease the starting chain by an even number. I used a hair tie at the bottom. Works Great~
Suggestion for an option on this: I bet you could crochet this plastic bag holder with plarn too. A novel idea. 💡
Thank you, made one and I love it. Will be making more. 💞💞💞💞💞
Love pattern 💚
Thank you for watching Christine!
Thanks for this, Jayda! I need a couple of these for all the bags I have. I am super bad at remembering to bring my reusables into the store.
Keeping organized is always a great excuse to crochet something ;)
@@JaydaInStitches yes, baskets are next on the list!❤️
Thank you Jayden fir the tutorial! We have bags at ot stores yet and once I feel confident enough to make up grocery bags I'll make some I think out of cotton so that they are washable.
Hi Ann, Thank you for watching!
