Based on my experience, unless you're sending your shadow 2 to cajun gunworks or getting an orange, you're gonna like the trigger on the staccato better out of the box.
I like no takeup, light clean break, and instant reset. the Staccato is the closest I've ever gotten to that, and what you showed with the CZ pull demonstrates exactly why I prefer staccato over everything else now.
I sold my Shadow 2 because its too darn heavy. I just got a staccato c2 duo which it came with the 17 round mags. Im still trying to get used to it and will intend to carry it, ill just have to get to a 1911/2011 system again.
Another great versus video. I would get the CZ Shadow 2, just because i'm a huge CZ fan. Also, i love my Harry's holster Contender for my CZ P10c that came in the mail today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey John, I finally received my Staccato and I love it. I also put a SRO on the gun however, I have had an issue with the screws which mount the plate to the frame backing out on me (this has happened on two occasions). I have put around 800 rounds threw the gun and I have been using VC3 thread locker. Have you had any issues with your screws backing out?

Both fantastic guns which, as you note, serve different roles. I’m more of a DA/SA or striker fired guy myself, but if i had to choose I’d go with the Staccato on account of the lighter weight, option to carry it (I don’t compete), and the fact that I don’t personally like DA/SA guns that don’t have a decocker. Both are fantastic tho.
Both amazing Guns! Each one is task specific. I’d definitely Conceal carry the C2 Duo, personally. Shadow 2 is hands down competition race gun. I understand you’re comparing their sizes, also notice the Staccato is part polymer/steel. The Shadow 2 is all steel and has that heft to it.
I view these as two different guns for to different uses. The S2 for compitition shooting and the Staccato for duty / defense. So, that makes it where I would not go with one or the other. Good video Big J!
I've had the c2 duo for three years now and easily the best performer for me. I'm wicked accurate with it. Just one of those guns that's matched perfectly for me. Not everyone will be able to say that. I have several staccatos and the c2 was a match made in heaven.

Love my C2 duo. Got the TLR 8 on there SRO, it is my carry gun. My competition gun if I was ever to do a competition is my Staccato XC but the cZ is nice just don’t own any
Would the Staccato XL (or whatever the competition pistol is) be a good replacement for the shadow 2 (despite the $4k+ price) so it would be good to train and compete with a similar platform as your carry gun? Or would you rather compete with the shadow 2?
I love my shadow 2, I have shot the XL it’s it’s a nice gun as well. If you shot the XL in competition it puts you in open not carry optics. Also the S2 is a DA/SA gun & the XL is SA only. Depends on what YOU want to do. Thanks for Watching, Carry On
I've shot both, and I'll have to say the shadow is better. The staccato was good, but not worth three times the price. Depends if you want to conceal it or not. I know people that do concealed the shadow. But the extra inch on that barrel might make a difference to some.

I carry my pcr half the time. You’ll have to let us know which you prefer after Cajun Gun Works has it. I think it’s the Ideal ccw pistol especially for appendix carry. I installed the defensive package in my pcr myself and love it. I’m on the waitlist right now at cgw to get it milled for a holosun.
I believe if I could only pick 1 out of the 2....I would go with the 1911/2011. Mainly because I shot 1911's all of my life but, currently don't have one.
I have a petite wife who can shoot her CZ Shadow great! But was thinking of an all metal gun for conceal carry. Torn between P Duo/ C duo due to small hands. What's the recoil like on the C duo?
both are high quality pistols even unmodified. Not sure BJ even owns a dead stock pistol! I would not conceal carry either myself and they impress me as two different pistols. I have a SPO1 and a 5” 911. Different guns but love them both. Much like my son’s!
@@intothefeints8506The only thing I had to add to my STACCATO c2 was Romeo 1 Pro. The trigger is awesome and the whole handgun functions perfect. For me, so far it's the best on duty handgun I've carried in 35 years in Law Enforcement. I'm sure CZ is great, but I have not had an opportunity to check it out.
Imagine that, a Texas guy giving STI, a Texas gun manufacturer, a decent review vs CZ, I thought he was fair. I prefer the CZ Shadow 2! I'm open, if your case makes practical sense? I may consider changing??? FYI, I have beat numerous STI owners with my RIA tac ultra at speed Steel challenges, at 1/3 the price of an STI.

Kinda a strange review. The shadow 2 was designed for competition. The Staccato is apparently a carry firearm that can run competition well. I would love to get a Czechmate parrot someday. But I just put money down on the C2 today.
Thanks, I know & I think that’s dumb! You still have a manual safety to flip off & if you put on a timer in CO it’s about the same time as a SF gun. With the popularity of them they should have either opened another CO type division for them or let people run them in CO. Same with a Comp & a Magwell..I carry this gun everyday & should be allowed to run it in basic CO division. Lame / Fudd type rules just keep more people away from USPSA. IMO They need to evolve more with current times & technology…to invite all to play. They could add a tactical type division or something? Just my 2 cents.

I always say carry & use what you feel comfortable using, also What’s your life worth? People are always allowed to carry & use which ever gun they prefer. Cost would never steer me away from a gun used to protect myself & my family.

Congratulations! I use blue lock tight & tighten them down good, I haven’t had one problem with either.

No issues with the Holosun, however I have since changed the optic over to the Trijicon SRO, it’s featured in newer vids.
The C2 DUO is a carry option and 3.9" barrel. Buying straight outta the box the C2 without question if you're planning on CCing.
Staccato is a fighting gun that can dominate in competition. The CZ is a comp pistol

I have the Staccato 9mm C2 with a light. Had a local amish man make a holster and magazine holsters. Not many seem to carry a holster for my Staccato

Staccato C2 is an all purpose gun, especially for LEO. CZ is a great gun, but with all the upgrades it looks like a toy gun.

The C2 is more comparable to the P01 Cajunized.
Great video. Staccato's aren't Carry Optics legal, though, so if you wanna shoot USPSA with it, you have to compete with the crazy race guns in Open.
