BTS-ARMY_EOMMA most of us have been learning English not just this generation. my mom speaks fluent English as well as my brother and I. however my dad is from Seoul and he never had the time to learn it growing up. the only reason some elders don't speak it was probably because they couldn't take extra lessons and etc. we're from a small part of busan but it's definitely not because "we aren't open to it" just some don't have access.
When I was living in Seoul Korean kids used to talk to me in English pretty often. I GUESS they really wanted to practice their English :) great video and amazing kids!
Renata Jurado, it’s called South Korea. North Korea is completely different than South Korea, so don’t just use the word Korea. Also, in almost every country, kids go around on their own. The United States is one of the few countries where parents are super over protective. This is the reason that many people in the U.S. struggle when they go to college, because they aren’t used to being independent, and they expect everyone to bend over for them and do things for them. My mom is from Germany, and when she was a kid, starting from first grade (7 years old), she would ride her bike over a mile all by herself to get to her bus stop, to go to school. I understand that it might not always be safe, to go out on your own as a kid, but going into the real world after high school, and being overwhelmed, and not knowing what to do is even more dangerous.
That guy at 8:18 with the back hug though lol!!! He's so adorable ! In fact the last bunch of kids are so kwiyowo ! It's so nice going out to talk to these kids in English and their reactions

Actually parents in Japan and Korea (maybe China as well) are encouraged to let their kids walk and come back from school all alone. That just proves that it is safe and trustworthy In these countries.

I taught English to Koreans of all ages for about 5 years - from zero knowledge to beginners to advanced. In my observation, the younger the kids, the faster they learn the language and the smarter they are because they’ve more eagerness and patience.
@@frostyicebladez7169 Very tender and beautiful pigs, that no person has that confidence to affectionately embrace a stranger, hahaha, I would give to have pigs like that in my environment, sigh uwu
It was an interesting app, but you forgot to mention that you can choose languages you're interested in and can edit that if you want. Bcos I saw it from another YTuber who was planning a trip to Hungary and she wants to know some useful phrases, so, she went to the app and, yeah, so many people will respond.
When I used to live in Korea as a kid my brother and I would randomly make korean friends at our apartment complex. both couldn’t speak each other’s language but somehow we still had fun it was awesome I miss it there
In the western world (US, UK, Canada etc) hanging around a school asking young children questions would probably end with a visit from the police. Its a shame that men can't have innocent interactions with children anymore in the west.
It's hard for me to teach my daughter about stranger danger but also make sure she isn't afraid to speak to new people at the same time. Now parents have GPS devices on their kids bookbags, watches, cellphones etc.. When I was growing up we were allowed to hop on our bikes & just go (without helmets) lol. I know times have "changed" but some parents take it to the extreme!
aoa and it goes little something like this ironic though that there is kpop fans watching a video that is pertaining to something about the Korean culture. yet, you do stand your point it is annoying.
At 6:03 and 6:33, the fact that the kids called for help from others and they just gathered all around him the longer he asks questions in English is genuine kindness and purely adorable 😂❤
Hahah when I went to Jeju Island, this random kid jump out to me and said "HELLO, MY NAME IS ___ DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? I CAN SPEAK ENGLISH. I LEARNED ENGLISH. CAN WE SPEAK" HAHAHAHhahahah!!! He looked like he was about 8 years old and he was really good!!!!
I love how he made friends with a bunch of random korean kids.😂 lmao props to those kids tho for gathering as many ppl as they could in order to put a sentence together - like they did not give up. 😂😂
These kids are so nice. In America those kids wouldn't give you the time of day due to "not being allowed to talk to strangers" it makes sense, though, to be safe.
Sayaboc Donovan ~ This has nothing to do with race, therefore it isn't "racist." It has to do with culture and that person is correct. American kids would've gotten their ass beat by their parents if they found out their son or daughter talked to stranger. Korea is safer than America.
In Vietnam, kids should run away/walk away if they see a stranger walking toward them, and not follow people that are not mom, dad, sister/brother, I told my sister this many time when she went to school in the morning. Not only kids but young women too, its really nice to see kids can happily, freely, laughing n smiling while talking to a stranger in this clip.
Lol that's what I was saying if a stranger came up and talked to me I would be like hey if they ask me where I was going and what my school was I would run away
I once sing loudly with my cousin in the midnight on the way home, it was so dark and quiet around us, just our loud voice, until somebody from nearby house yelled shut up.
in my experience it's much easier to understand the gist of what people are trying to say in another language than it is to construct a sentence yourself, especially if you can't remember the right word lol
I'm surprised he was able to talk to the kids so casually. In canada were taught to never speak to strangers to prevent kidnappings. As soon as an older male talks to you, you're expected to run and get away.
Justine StyPayHorLikSon The girl just started speaking in Korean just as guessing "I think he is asking the number of piano" and he just hit each other's hands for High-five haha
7:11 is when she randomly speaks Japanese and he even subs it as (speaks Japanese randomly lol) just in case you had no idea what the OP was talking about.
Im not a Japanese speaker but I could understand a little, I think she said something between the lines of "I can understand japanese so you can ask me". and then he(the youtuber) replied with "Really?", and after that I think she just randomly spoke some Japanese words lol That's why her friends were laughing and the boy beside her whispered to the YTuber in korean, "she's crazy" That's why she hit him.
MikuPinky She starts by saying she can speak Japanese, then when he answers her I couldn't make out what she said. My Japanese is a bit rusty and she had an accent though, so I could be wrong.
MikuPinky Just like HERObyPROXY said, she starts with saying that she can speak Japanese and then she said that't how she knew what he was doing. She probably have seen one of his Japanese videos I presume?

I taught English to Koreans of all ages for about 5 years - from zero knowledge to beginners to advanced. In my observation, the younger the kids, the faster they learn the language and the smarter they are because they’ve more eagerness and patience.

Its a shame that men can't have innocent interactions with children anymore in the west.
it doesn't matter if you talk to elementary school students in korea. there is no kidnapping of elementary schools in korea.
MatthewT He looks like he could be 17... I doubt anyone would bat an eye. They'd probably think its the kid's big brother or something.
Yeah in India too!!
Actually the kids wont even chat with strangers!
So sad western world
It's hard for me to teach my daughter about stranger danger but also make sure she isn't afraid to speak to new people at the same time. Now parents have GPS devices on their kids bookbags, watches, cellphones etc.. When I was growing up we were allowed to hop on our bikes & just go (without helmets) lol. I know times have "changed" but some parents take it to the extreme!
"Is he talking about how many pianos there are?" my stomach hurts from laughing too much

Korea is safer than America.
you seem to know so much about the different cultures and neighborhoods of an entire country i guess.
Soul taken by RUclips help speaking the truth right there
But I think American students are nice. When I was in the US, they were nice to me. So Yeah!!!
If I saw a stranger coming up to me asking for directions I would say "IM NOT ALOUD TO TALK TO STRANGERS!" and run screaming😂😂😂😂😂

some of them they understand english but they cannot speak
@@willahn4955 your english is good.
in my experience it's much easier to understand the gist of what people are trying to say in another language than it is to construct a sentence yourself, especially if you can't remember the right word lol

I'm surprised he was able to talk to the kids so casually. In canada were taught to never speak to strangers to prevent kidnappings. As soon as an older male talks to you, you're expected to run and get away.
no problem in korea
it doesn't matter if you talk to elementary school students in korea.
Me too!! I’m surprised when the kids didn’t even hesitate to answer some personal questions
Korea is not like other countries * remember always
In the U.S. as well. I would never talk to someone else's child and I'm a mom of two.

Justine StyPayHorLikSon it was cute.. shipping em.
The boy who hugged him when they were taking selfies was so sweet and cute.

MikuPinky She starts by saying she can speak Japanese, then when he answers her I couldn't make out what she said. My Japanese is a bit rusty and she had an accent though, so I could be wrong.
"ah is that so"
MikuPinky Just like HERObyPROXY said, she starts with saying that she can speak Japanese and then she said that't how she knew what he was doing. She probably have seen one of his Japanese videos I presume?
I used to teach English in Seoul and i couldn't believe how amazing they were when speaking English as it's such a hard language to learn as a second language. They're so cute and sometimes enthusiastic to talk to you when they aren't too tired from after school classes.
ninefifteen I absolutely disagree with you ma'am..it's the easiest one:)
YOU MAD? The grammar is so hard to get your head around, there are so many rules etc.
ninefifteen May be it's too hard for you..but a person who can learn Hindi and Sanskrit(Coz I'm an Indian), can learn any other language quite easily..and I feel English is amongst the easiest ones..
The problem with English is that it doesn't even follow its own grammar rules sometimes... - a lot of times. And that's really difficult.
Faith so true...
