I own this guitar in Blue Lagoon and I love it. I bought it back in 2021. No issues and the stock pickups sound great.

In the clean tones and junk I like the bridge alone and both neck and bridge together most. A gorgeous guitar and My local music store sells it for $558.99. Amazing guitar for the money! Great playing too btw.

I got one about a year ago. Actually sounds impressive for a $400 guitar but the frets were not even close to finished, lots of fret outs when bending the higher frets and the nut fell off when I was restringing it last week. But when it’s properly set up it plays pretty good!

@@davidlane147 I usually only get instruments from them for trade-ins or when I don’t want store credit since instead of giving a higher value in that compared to cash like most stores, they give a discount on a new item if the manufacturer allows it when you buy something that visit; they don’t take care of their instruments very well and Schecter years ago had the best frets as Ibanez and Fender usually had the worst then. I’m planning to replace my current Ibanezs with RGAs down the road since I find that the RG and S despite having their sleekest body shapes don’t have as good upper-fret access; obviously they’re better than most other instruments, but the RGA seems to have the most for what they offer.
@@michaelgrahamwongacutemadness I got a Charvel dk24 from sweet water last year. It was perfectly set up and the customer service was awesome! I’ll definitely use them again in future
@@davidlane147 sweetwater is a better dealer but ibanez seems to be the highest quality overall and they didn’t raise their prices like others
Yesterday was the best day in the whole wide world yesterday I just happen to pick up my new dragon eye From our local shop bills music in Catonsville Maryland It’s definitely a light weight guitar definitely thin and very fast with the new wizard 3 The price was just right up my alley Now I have it in my collection and it stands out really nice very sharp looking guitar Thanks Ibanez
hey man can i ask how does the upper register of the frets feel? im coming from a strat so mine doesnt even play ring the notes.

@@Prey.Rock99 When I got mine the frets were not level at all and not polished very well. Lots of fret outs when bending on the high e. It’s slightly better now but I have to have the action pretty high so I don’t get dull notes. But the pickups sounds nice and there’s lots of sustain

Picked up a used unit in Dragon Eye for cheap. Easy action and the flame is luscious. It answers a lot of my needs and imho, it's the bargin axe of the decade.
This man plays like Hell dude!! very good tecnic!
Technique
I've seen some hate on the stock Quantum pickups, but I personally think they're pretty decent. I've always found that Ibanez has the best stock pickups, aside from PRS.

Could you recommend a set of pickups to upgrade this guitar. I'm interested in a versatile Dimarzio set to play different metal subgenres (Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Megadeth, Amon Amarth, Fear Factory). After doing some research, I learned about the Super Distortion + PAF Pro set. What do you think of this combination for the sound I'm looking for?
Hey dude, a little late to reply but I do have a Super Distortion & Super 3 in an old RG of mine and they're a pretty sexy combo. But the PAF Pro is a solid choice too and you can't really go wrong, it's just flavor. A real classic duo (and my personal fave) would be The Tone Zone & Air Norton. For the heavy lifting and more low end clarity you might also consider a more modern approach, like D-Activators for example. It's a tough choice to make, I know :D
I saw a few reviews of the Super Distortion and the PAF Master (neck) and i like the combo, i use the PAF Master for soloing and some clean Stuff and the Super Distortion for rhytim and more heavier stuff, sometimes i play a few riffs with it and sounds real good Marcelo, so i recommend that combo, other combo is what Elec. tears said, the Air Norton and Tone Zone are pretty good n.n)/

Then you should go for CortX300. The advantage of Ibanez RGA series is 5 way selector which kind of mimics single coil in one of the positions.
lol I'm in the same dilemma, I don't know which one to choose between those two guitar models.
If it matters to you I couldn’t find a cort near me with a fully finished neck, very coarse feeling

i was looking at the same guitar but i cant decide between the BLF or the TGF i really like the black but not so sure about the red back also i love the blue but im scared that in a time the blue will be too much... what do you lot think?

Judging by the reviews I've seen, I really don't like these pickups BUT hot damn dude, you'd make a broomstick sound like a 3000 dollars insturment, the playing was insane ahah
Own one, pickups just need an EQ and some good picking technique and they sound alright. Wouldn't hurt to replace them though
