Hey Ben, I'm glad you've learned so much about clothing because you've passed along your knowledge to us in your videos. I've learned a lot from you. Thanks!
Our thrifting philosophy is like yours: we go when we can, not any set schedule. Some of the best stuff we've found were on days we just happen to stop at a thrift store on way to somewhere else. As far as quality of items, sometimes the goodwills in our town can be a bit dry, which has pushed us to think outside the box for sourcing. We do yard sales, estate sales, goodwill bins, online auctions, we consign, and have even hit up our families for inventory! There's a lot of fun being in the reselling business! Thanks for the great content, Ben!
Being an older guy, I hit the thrift stores on Senior Day and take advantage of that discount on everything. Otherwise, when I’m out running errands I stop by. I spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour in each store. I sell a wide variety of things so I check out every section
Good stuff sir! Living vicariously through you to get my thrifting fix!! Had a couple of good bolo type sells recently: W. Kleinberg alligator belt $10 into $130 Levies SilverTab Purple label jeans $8 into $112 (international they paid $200 total!) FootJoy DryJoys FL Gators Shoes $1 into $60 KitchenAid Artisan & attachments $15 into $225 (sold in minutes) Rokker boots $35 into $165 (there were no pre-owned solds, but the new ones are $400+. Gambled and they sold within a couple of days) I don't do free shipping, so made some extra there too.
I find looking at the kids stuff can sometimes be good because at times the staff accidentally put adults clothes in the kids section as you had happen to you. They tend to price kids thing cheaper too!
Im a stay at home mom so thrifting is an all day event for us. I go when I can but I try to aim for 2-3 times a week. My thrift stores put out stuff daily so there’s always something for everyone!
Keep an eye out for fake north face jackets! Ive found a ton of fakes with a similar label to that one. The biggest things wrong are the material and stitching in between the letters of the logo embroidery!
I do the same. I thrift when I run to drop off shipping or when I go to grocery store. We do travel from time once or twice a week to some of our gems.
In the appliance aisle on the 3rd store you passed up some sunbeam mixers, if they have the attachments those go for good money. Typically I buy the set and only sell the attachments, then I re-donate the mixer.
Great haul, Ben and great video as well! I just want to say Thank You for all of the wonderful, informative videos you’ve shared with us this year! Your knowledge and your hard work has earned you respect and love from your viewers! You have had a positive impact on us during the year and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing your videos in the new year! Again, thank you for all you do! Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year to you and yours! 🎄🎁🎄
I just want to thank you for your content because it's really educated me and inspired me to start going out to thrift shops and finding some stuff on my own and I've been having some good luck lately so thank you and have a nice holiday
i bought a pendleton flannel shirt once for $5, got home found a tiny cig burn hole towards bottom of shirt, but it STILL SOLD FOR $30 !! and yes, i did disclose the flaw in my listing .
I just recently became aware of there being a market for VHS movies, especially new and still wrapped, but not strictly limited to new. My story is this: I found the original Star Wars Trilogy with original artwork in their original versions. I was excited, didn’t really know what I had. I looked at other used copies sitting on EBay at $800.00 (and getting no action). Thought I’d shoot for the moon at $350.00, it sold within 5 minutes of listing to a dealer. I purchased it originally for $2.00. Thought I’d won the lottery until I got curious dug a little deeper, and found out the same item is regularly fetching $1200.00!! My mistake? This one time, I looked at just listings to determine price, and didn’t look at comps. I won’t ever make that mistake again !!
Hard for me to do clothes, I try to stick to hard goods unless it's a higher profit margin. Clothes at the thrift stores out in California are priced higher.
Always learn so much about clothing from you, Ben! Thanks so much for all you do and for being such a polite articulate young man. I've watched other resellers that curse in their videos and it just isn't impressive nor does it help their channel in my opinion. Keep up the good work!
I usually look for things that I want. I have a new focus now lol!!!! First vid I have seen on your channel, I subscribed and I'm looking forward to more!
Hey Ben, thanks for all the videos. Great content!! Keep it up! Do you have a video of you showing your viewers how you take photos and listing items? Wanted to know what you use for a back drop and lights? Thanks again!!
Barbour is a premium UK 🇬🇧 brand, you can tell just buy looking at how its made, the stitching and quality of the fabric. the wax jackets literally last a life time provided u apply the wax every 5 years or so…. They retail for $400 or more easily. You definitely underestimate the value of that jacket, good pick up.
Great finds! I go thrifting 2-3 days a week and spend 1-4 hours in the store. 😂 My recent best find was yesterday, a Coogi made in Australia sweater for only $6 at Goodwill. Easy $200+ profit.🤑
Happy holidays to you. Was at goodwill here last week n picked up pr of Italian military white snow Boots for $7. Few comps did see ranged from $60 - $90.
Love the vids bro and really appreciate it my family's driving me nuts "Holidays" woo hoo! lol Best recent pick up was a original Indiana Jones Toht figure still in the package (1984..) I believe was jaw dropped when I found it for $3.99. Clothing wise been finding MissMe Jeans locally picked up 3 pair this past week

Just found your channel loving it so far! I just wanted to ask I have always had a hard time selling clothes what platform do you sell on and any advice on how to sell Clothes easier? Thank you!
I sell them mainly on eBay. But also sell some on Poshmark and Facebook. Make sure your keywords are good when you are creating your listing. Also, try to fill in as much of the description specific boxes as you can.
Hey Ben, love your videos. I learn a lot even though I don’t resell. I have a technical question. Do you pay tax on the profit you make or on the full amount of sale? I do craft sales and I pay on the full amount regardless of the supplies and time it took to make an item. Just wondering. Merry Christmas!
Kimberly resellers only have to pay taxes on the profit so after you take out fees and cost of goods. That's what your supposed to pay taxes on..... hopefully Ben's guy isn't having him pay for total gross sales cause hes gonna be paying uncle sam money he dont deserve......
@@ReadySetResell you should look into that ben and make sure they are doing it correctly... that's why resellers need to keep all their receipts in case of a audit. Yes theres a slim chance your number will get pulled for one but still always be ready.
@@adammonahan687 haha I know he is doing a good job for me. And yeah I send him everything. He has records of all my purchases, expenses, gains, donations, COG, etc. which is why I said I report my total gross income to him. You are taking items from people who can't afford to pay full prices. These thrift stores weren't intended for people to do what you are doing. From now on I'm giving my items away instead of "donating " them to a thrift store to help people in need.
No. You are ignorant to thrift stores purposes and how they operate. I suggest you educate yourself before you go throwing around judgements. Thrift stores are not intended for “people who cannot afford to pay full prices”. They are business’ that profit from items mainly gained through donations. They are there for EVERYONE. They help through assistance programs they have which are funded by the sale of the of their items. Which means the more people, and resellers shop at their locations the more money they can funnel into their programs. Thus thrift stores LIKE people like me who come in often and spend lots of money. Again the more money I spend the more money gets funneled into the assistance programs. I do same as you, go thrifting when ever I'm out and about. Then two to three times during the week after my 9to5
