one tip, if you are after arca-swiss compatability, GO for the 'L-bracket' small rig makes, this does have the rail on the bottom, unlike this cage, it ALSO lacks two sides of the cage design.
I have that L bracket, and I like it for when I want the camera to be light weight, but I have started shooting video with the top handle and Ninja V on top, which would bee too much weight to trust to the hot shoe mount
PS: that knob on the handle is called a "kip lock" not a ratchet, a ratchet lets you turn one way, and grips on the other!! ; the Kip lock, has a spring loaded "tool" on a bolt head, this allows the handle to be positioned out of the way when the bolt is tight/ when tightening it.

Hi JJ, just bought a Z5 if I bought this cage how would I mount it to a standard 1/4 inch tripod head? What accessory do Smallrig provide for it please, thanks for the video
The bottom of the cage has several 1/4 inch screw holes. I have an arca swiss plate that I screwed into those holes so that I could quick release it from my tripod.
My buddy did the same after selling his d5 , bought all this stuff to make his d7 bigger , his complaint with the d7 was he isnt taken seriously turning up for photo work ? I said its just you used to bulky dslr's , NO people have asked what happened to your other camera 😂😂😂😂 WOW , my question is what is all that stuff really for ? Cant you make videos without it , or is it to look like you have a pro camera

I have a Smallrig 2926B which do have a Swiss-arca mount. Otherwise it looks the same. Great product!

Hi, Nikon Z update now supports BRAW for Davinci.

Really nicely done. How can I put the Atomos on the side and actually use a flash trigger on the hit shoe mount? Possible?
So how stable can it be? Is he shaking? Is it as effective as a gimbal?
