Just as adorable and charming as he was in high school, our class of '65! Love the memories!
I agree… I was Janis Joseph
Hi, Janis! I remember you! 😊
His voice is unique and I LOVE when I hear it on any recording!
Chip acting like he doesn't recognize Into the woods reminded me of about two weeks ago when i got to meet him and i made him sign my Into the woods libretto which had a picture of the original cast. Upon seeing it he pointed at himself and said "I don't know who that guy is!" he's so hilarious
Where did you meet him!?
“when did we start? It was yesterday ? We started a few days ago”
lol. He has a good sense of humor.
I want to apologize for having called you Chip ZEE-n all these years
My life!
I can and will watch this series for HOURS!!
Me tooooo!❤
Chip Zien, thank you for sharing these wonderful stories (I laughed so hard I had tears streaming when you spoke of your Les Mis experience!). You're a terrific storyteller! To me, your performance as The Baker was perfection. Also, I saw Merrily when it was being reworked at La Jolla (I remember seeing Sondheim sitting at the end of my row, long yellow legal pad in hand, taking notes!) -- it was the day the fire alarm accidentally went off during the show. I thought you were fantastic in that production. I wish I could have seen your other theatre performances, including Harmony. May your career continue to flourish for many more years!
11:34 I could listen to him talk about into the woods for forever! It was one of (if not the first) OBCR from a musical that my mom played for me when I was a kid🥹🥹 I loved the story of it so much
You need to listen to the podcast Giants in the Sky- everything you could ever want to know about the production and every actor in it.
@@s.hopkins4490 Tysm for the insight!! I’ll put it on my list :)
I’m soooo glad it’s so long and y’all posted the whole thing 😍😍😍😍
Harmony is an amazing show and I'm really sad it's not getting the run I believe it deserves.
He is such a delightful man. What a gem!
I saw Chitty Chitty. Every scene had a flub that was so funny. Kevin Cahoon as the child catcher, terrifying! And Raul Esparza singing Hushabye Mountain 🤌🏻✨
Now I know how to pronounce his last name!!!!
"I don't know this one... Into... Into the... Into the Woods?" 🤣🤣🤣
This was wonderful!
Chip is the OG Baker and then when Into the Woods was in NYC Central Park he played Cinderella’s Father and the Mysterious Man. I did Into the Woods years ago and miss it a lot
Best one yet
That Into the Woods casting story was hilarious 😅
