HEY LOVIES! Welcome back to my channel! If you're new here, I'm Terry-Ann a Boston based lifestyle blogger and THIS IS MY OFFICIAL APARTMENT TOUR! I get tons of questions about what my apartment looks like and where I live. So here it is! I've been wanting to film this for forever! And I was grinning the whole time I filmed it because I was just so excited for you guys to see!

Finally a Boston apartment tour without ten minutes of fluff and nonsensical talking. Surprising how much space you have for this price point. Whereabouts is this located?
I'm not the most super comfortable saying where I live, but i have gotten this question a ton! so i'm going to answer this and a few other FAQs. it's more in the east boston area! it's not a professionally managed building so it can be rough at times. the building used to be an old factory. i've been living in the building since 2014, and my landlord allows me to make literally any changes i want to the apt since anything i do is an upgrade. and he usually reimburses me for any changes. hope that helps!

@@Spootyskater no worries, i totally understand! this area has gotten pricier since i moved here in 2014. believe it or not i used to only pay $900/month! but it's still super affordable!
Wow, your apartment is honestly wonderful! It's a very lovely home and I really love the staircase, I think that's what captivated me the most. I can imagine myself waking up and just drink my coffee there.

omg it was...A LOT lmfaoo there is a back staircase that leads to the upstairs portion of our apartment! so luckily we didn't have to move everything up the spiral staircase lmaoo
Your sense of style when it comes to decorating is IMPECCABLE. Everything looks so cozy and stylish! And that's such a stellar deal for that space. Ahh so jealous!! Haha. I live in Boston too, and rent prices are absolutely bonkers. I wish there were more non-luxury studios/apts available at reasonable prices.

In The Mixed yes I love the stairs too! People always ask me how I get up and down in heels but you get so used to it!!

How did you find an apartment like this for $1700 in Boston? A great find! From my experiences, Boston apartments are usually over-priced and small. Great tour btw!
Cindy oh honey when I first got this apt it was $900 a month!! 😂😂
Cindy I found it on Craigslist. And it wasn’t pretty when I got it! So the landlord updated the bathroom and a few things here and there. And then he allowed me to make a bunch of changes and he took the cost out of my rent. It’s actually a much longer story than that. But I definitely got lucky!!

Love it! So well decorated and such a unique and lovely space. I pay $1500 per month for a studio apartment in a “luxury” building 🙄 starting to feel like I’m getting ripped off and could get a lot more bang for my buck elsewhere lol Also curious if your ceiling is leaking/damaged in your bedroom, couldn’t help but notice. If so, I hope that’s getting fixed and isn’t posing any issues for you two! Anyway, glad to see the tour and great video. Thanks for sharing 😊
Jay Jay thanks so much love!! It’s not leaking currently! I kind of have a video about this from back in 2017 but the pipes burst in the building in the winter of 2017 and flooded most of the building. And it was the pipes right above this apt!! Flooded 3-4 floors down! Insane!
1500$ or more is a mortgage. We have a 2400 all brick ranch home and 6 acres for 1067$ @4.25 % interest rate.
Why pay that amount or more put that into a home 🏡 of your own. Thats ungodly expensive!God bless 🙏

Kim k hahaha in the city it’s just a ton more expensive! Once you move away/further out it gets a lot cheaper! For me personally, I paid these amounts bc my law school was in the city, and currently my job is too! But as everything shifts to more remote on a permanent basis I’m sure so much will change. I also personally wanted to have a few years in the city lol

I went to a very urban university and by the time I got 🏡 home.
Being in the city was exhausting but I have lived my whole life in the suburbs. Going into the city for medical, and some unique shopping and leave. The remote jobs will soon return back to the office grinder.

hey love! i LOVE back bay! I went to law school in the theater district and would often hang out around there! DM me on insta and I'll tell you the exact area! i was paying $900 a month back in 2017, then $1400, now $1700. super lucky!
to be clear though, i've been grandfathered into this pricing. i moved into this building in 2014, and into this unit in 2017. some other units in my building have been renovated and the pricing is higher than mine but still somewhat cheaper than the typical boston market.

We have bought a all brick house 🏠 its a ranch.
No neighbors across the road the back yard is ours 6 acres,the neighbors will have next door are so far away from us we don't even know them .Big front yard and private breezy back yard.
We were blessed with finding this home 🏡. We pay for a mortgage 1067.$ no homeowners association its quiet.
People constantly want to buy our home lol it is not going anywhere lol.
You gave me a alot style tips and thank you for the tour.
Especially the hubby relaxing on the couch 🛋.

Kim k hey Kim we do have the option to purchase. But I’m originally from CT and the plan has always been to eventually move to the suburbs! We plan on staying here until our first child! At that point we’ll buy a house in the burbs! Your place sounds like a dream! I love homes that are secluded and quiet! Hang onto that place!

WHAT! I live in Camberville and nothing is this huge. I am cancelling Camberville.
I literally had to look up camberville! I thought it was somewhere in the boondocks of MA lmfaooo so camberville is the cambridge somerville line? lmao i feel like both those towns are soooooo expensive!! i'm not surprised there's nothing this big over there! you'd have to buy a condo for like $850k to get this space in cambridge or somerville lmaooo

Glad to be representing us lol also in terms of pricing, the pricing in my building has increased since I moved in and is more in line with averages (still a few hundred less). But I got grandfathered into this pricing. The building isn’t professionally managed and I have a good relationship with the landlord after living here for so many years! 💗
@@TheRudgeFam What does it mean to be "grandfathered" into the apartment?
@@suem7500 it means the new rules and prices don’t apply to me bc I’ve been here so long. So when I moved into the building the prices were super low. And as people moved out of the units around me our landlord has raised the rents on those units. But he’s a nice guy so he doesn’t raise my rent when he raises everyone else’s rent after they move out. So the new tenants may say it’s a bit pricier to live in this building, but I have been grandfathered into the original rent prices since I’ve never left.

No way that’s 1700 maybe 2700... w a 1700 you get a tiny ass studio w roaches and creepy neighbors
I assure you it’s $1700 lol. And when I first moved in it was $900, increased to $1400, and we’ve now settled at $1700. No roaches, and my neighbors are really sweet. Benefit of not having a management company! 💗
The rent is super cheap so we plan to continue living here even after we’re married to continue saving as much as we can for a house! 💗
