These people are AWESOME and this is the true sound of music that you won’t hear. This is soul and feeling that you can’t learn on paper, you either have it or you don’t. My Dad grew up in the woods during the depression era with 6 brothers and 2 sisters. He told me he lived between 2 neighbors that lived very far apart and hated each other but liked them. Once in a while they would get together with one of the families to have a get together and play music. My dad was taught how to play the harmonica and picked up on it very well. Once they had a huge get together and both families happened to be there and claimed to have taught him how to play. Was my dads turn to play in front of everyone and he played, There No Place Like Home. At the end of the song one of the neighbors had taught him an extra riff at the end of the song, after he played it the one neighbor had yelled out, “I taught that boy how to do that!” The other neighbor said he did, which lead to both families fighting it out at the get together. He had told me they were like hey Hatfield and McCoy‘s and even would take a shot at each other from time to time. My dad has taught me how to play also and I’ve been playing since I’ve been a small boy, but my dad could play anything and it was amazing how he could make that harmonica sound. Not like the stuff you hear today. Just thought this would be an interesting story for someone to read.

I'm 48 and live in a nuresing home I enjoy listening to youlls music,my grandpa played the spoons when he was alive I loved listening to him,I asked him to play every time I was around him,keep up the good work,you'll are my kind of folks

Your heritage if you come from midwest might be cowboy songs and also the traveler songs like big rock candy mountain. Besides the country of origin of your family, they will have a music tradition too. Also the David Hoffman channel has some good music he documented.
