People are facing a tough retirement. and it's even harder for workers to save due to low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire in.
The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement. A CFA is enough to guide me
It's recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401k. 'Joseph Nick Cahill' taught me to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. I've been with him for years now and his decades of experience in the markets translate to chunks of value in so many ways! he has upscaled my portfolio and even got me reading self help books haha
Joseph Nick Cahill is an experienced CFA. He is regarded as a genius in his area and works for Empower Financial Services. He's quite known in his field, look-him up.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I really needed it. I looked him up on Google and explored his website; he has an impressive background in investments. I've sent him an email, and I hope to hear back from him soon
Yep solitude comes when you have delt with many toxic people in your life dealing with people can be very exhausting and you find peace and tranquility alone.
I can feel your genuine excitement, happiness, and appreciation for life. Like you said, "Every day is an adventure," and we all should "get up every day feeling excited for another chance, another day, another gift." I love those expressions of yours. You have many of them actually. Thank you for sharing, and I know you are going to have an amazing day!
I was forced into early medical retirement at 39 after a 22 year career. It occurred to me what a gift this all has been, leading me back to my true self. Weds, I celebrated 11 years survivorship of a major illness I contracted on international business travel. Me still being alive, ever been born at all, is still such a shock to me! I lived in fast forward warp speed, and now I have been going through metamorphosis and just want to be a Disney character, feeding birds, ID'ing them with an app, watching them with my dog... 💓 P.S. Make it another great weekend, Jo!
Wow what hat a journey you’ve been on! Your metamorphosis sounds peaceful and inspiring! The thought of you with your dog, identifying birds enjoying those quiet moments feels like a Disney movie in itself! 💛 😊Wishing you a weekend filled with those magical little joys! Thank you!✨☺️
i'm successfully retired from my professional career... most of my clients were hostile and argumentative and my work environment was stressful, critical, and impactive... in my profession, successful retirement is called "all eaten up"... now, that i'm retired, i spend my days creating art... i live by myself with no neighbors on my wooded acres of land which overlooking a lake... weeks can go by without seeing another person or talking to anyone... i am very happy
@@JoGalas1 i believe one of the factors/variables that distinguish "soloists" from other persons is that "soloists" view others as persons or groups of persons ... and "commune ists" view others as "parts of a people" and can not conceptualize a person separate from a group or people... "commune-ists" describe everyone and everything by the group traits and not by individual/personal traits... and thus when a social issue/conflict/problem occurs then the problem is viewed/defined and addressed according to who is involved ... a commune-ist will view/address the problem much differently than a soloist... and thus the dysfunction within the progressive and modern world is easily predictable...
retired last year after working all my teenage years and adult life. stressful, disrespectful employer so I quit. No more mountains to climb, no more bridges to cross. Life is short and I am enjoying my solitude to do whatever I want.............or not!
My darling, I love your exuberance and how excited you are to greet each day as if it’s your last. You didn’t say that, but we really should appreciate seeing the beauty around us and finding beauty in small things rather than tear each other down. I agree with what you’re saying. I do go to the park regularly. I’m going indulge more not just to look at the sky or the moon, like you find beauty in both, but in nature. I like small silly things like rocks, sticks, frogs crosswords. I guess we all have a lot of sweet spots about the little things in life. Keep smiling ma’am, keep smiling. You brought joy to my heart. Love it love it. ❤❤❤❤
What a gorgeous message, Miriam! Thank you so much and I love that you appreciate and enjoy the little things too! ✨♥️ Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏♥️
The millions of videos out there (majority from American women) telling you how to fill your retirement with 'community' and 'volunteering' - OMG my worst nightmare - no thanks,
I know exactly how you feel and its great. I just enjoy learning & growing, and being healthy. Making amazing food and practicing yoga each day on my yoga mat gives me great pleasure At the end of each day there's a sense of fulfillment, versus, social events which can be utterly draining. Thank you for providing this corner to share these thoughts. Peace.🤘
Jo, thank you for sharing your perspective and living life with joy. I love the idea that we can live like we’re ‘retired’ enjoying and appreciating each day’s gifts, no matter the weather. As always, thank you for creating this space where likeminded people can be ‘separately together’ and exchange our thoughts and ideas. You made me smile. 🙏🏽💕
Hi Jo! Happy Friday! 😊 It’s soo awesome to see your beautiful authentic heart and soul! My favorite song: Kesha ~ Praying! on my journey breaking free to embrace my authentic self surrounded by people throwing the Bible at me!! LOVE~FREEDOM ~BLISS ❤🎉❤🎉❤
I live in solitude and I retired early.
Retiring has allowed me to also retire from the World.
I mix with almost no one.
I love my life.
This is inspiring me so much! 🤩 Thank you!

Impressive! How can I contact any advisor? My portfolio has underperformed, and I need guidance.

I used to work with someone who waited to start exploring and enjoying life until retirement. She retired early and passed away 6months later
That's really sad💔

😄 LOVE IT! Thank you so much, Mary and it's always awesome to read your lovely messages! Thank you so much and happy Friday to you too!🙏♥️✨
Here’s my thing, I don’t want to retire. I want to work until I don’t. Each year, I discover something new. That’s the thing about being an autodidact
♥️
@@JoGalas1 i too love playing chess ( badly). I think I’ve won once out of ten. Still, it’s good for the brain.
Haha same here, I'm determined to get better at it 🤓It's amazing for the brain!
I don't want to live solo. How can you compare a chest game to a partner who love you?
I didn't. If you have a partner who loves you and you love there is nothing else to say and I wish you all the best 😊
