The Oscars hated the only movie that actually was liked by millions and made real money.
I saw this last half part of movie as a kid. It was called, Star Wars.

Apparently it only won 1 category. The Academy shit on the film that was longed and loved by millions and millions of people around the world.
It was okay. I wouldn't say great. Relied on 'member berries.
I hope Top Gun: Maverick wins for Best Adapted Screenplays, Best Original Song (Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga), for Best Sound and maybe for Best Picture (even though Everything Everywhere All At Once will might win)
I can’t believe Top Gun Maverick won an Oscar and was nominated for best actor, best movie, etc. Top Gun Maverick stole a scene from Star Wars New Home.
As I was at the movies watching Top Gun Maverick with my friend, I leaned over to my friend and said, I’ve seen this plot before. The mission in Top Gun Maverick was to fly low and fast to avoid SAM’s in a canyon, shoot a missile into a small target to blow up and underground nuclear power plant. Then avoid enemy planes. It reminds me of Luke Skywalker’s mission to blow up the Death Star. He had to fly low in a Death Star canyon
avoid defense missiles, fire a missile into a small target, while avoiding enemy aircraft’s to blow up the Death Star. Sure seems like the same plot to me. Because of this, I thought Top Gun Maverick sucked. It’s wasn’t original for sure. Sad because I love the original Top Gun.
You obviously missed the entire story of the film
I respect Tom Cruise's religion, but take exception to movies about violence and toxic colonial patriarchy. Wish some movie would use Imagine by John Lennon, or All you Need is Love as their soundtrack.
