If I could, I would email photos of my very first embroidery project that I gave to my wife. I'd also send a few images of my hummingbird. It's a crude attempt at trying my hand at Su Embroidery style. It isn't very good, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Hey, what can I say? I'm self-taught...
Hi Sara, I would like the starter kit because I am a newbie at cross stitching, and it would work for a new person at cross stitching. Have a Happy holidays with your family.
My project for 2023 is trying to recreate some medieval embroidery from my church. The frames would come in handy! Thank you for your videos, I have learnt so much.
I bought a similar kit to try out embroidery and with the help of your channel and a crafty friend I’m happy to have found a new hobby. Your videos are a great inspiration and the beginners guides are amazing. Thank you for the great work.
Which site can I get something like this from?... thanks!
Thank you Kristina, heres to many happy hours of sewing!
Amazon
I am new to embroidery and so appreciate your channel and your style of tuition. I've learned so much and am now taking a local class in embroidery as you've inspired me to increase my knowledge and skills. I would love to have a go a the give away and so 'Starter' and 'Frames'. Good luck to everyone who enters.
FRAMES . I always learn something from you. I always like seeing Ginger Cat.
Well Sarah I'm here in the United States and I would love either the starter kit or the frames and I have been following you for about a year and a half now love all you have taught me and thank you
Frames. Thank you for reviewing the embroidery starter kit for us. I love your videos.
So much enjoyed your video this morning going thru the starter kit & frames.
Starter frames ( I find the snips helpful when I am trimming very small bits off of the backing to fit behind my brooches. )
I have bought the cheaper kind too and yes as a beginner their perfect 👌 as when you practice your bound to make mistakes...well at least more mistakes lols plus can save some money at first for the better quality later. I got something similar off Amazon as mine included about 50 colours I think and they lasted me ages. I never have used a thimbell either as just never been intrigued too. The smaller frames are great for sewing in bed in the colder mornings 😊😉❤️
I have never tried sewing in bed!!
The different frames would be so great to experiment with, I haven't figured out which style of frame I like best yet in my adventures into embroidery. For cross stitch I just tend to work in hand.
I just finished my first project, a pin cushion. I'm planning to continue but I'm still a starter in the hobby and it's starting to become an obsession. I used a yoghurt lid and rim for frames ... Not the best set up... I'll admit. But it worked. Was fun. 🤭
Well done for being innovative!! Keep stitching....
I would love to try these frames. 🎄
I love your videos and have tried doing embroideries using frames as you have demonstrated
thanks for sharing the easy starter kit. The frames will be a welcome addition to anyone who stitches...
I'd love to have a chance at using either the starter kit or the frames. Thanks so much for all your videos, they are really helpfull in my beginner embroidery journey.
Always looking to expand my collection of FRAMES!
I had one of those strawberry pincushions for a grand total of 20 seconds before it was repurposd as a cat toy. The frames look great (as something for the cats to leap through, for a starter).
That's funny. Cats are the greatest!
😂 I have three cats. Embroidery definitely requires careful feline management measures! (As does my knitting and weaving and machine sewing and...)
@@VeretenoVids Yeah, my rigid heddle loom does sterling work as a source of yarn-based entertainment whilst also being a climbing frame and a hammock.
@@alisonhill3941 🤣
Mine haven't discovered that yet Alison!
Sarah, I've done a lot of cross stitch and have just started exploring free-hand embroidery. I've always been a bit intimidated by free-hand anything but your videos make it a much less daunting prospect. For that I thank you. Thank you especially for this review. It's nice to know that you think the materials in the starter kit, while not of heirloom quality, are good enough to give a beginner an accurate idea of whether or not to pursue embroidery as a hobby, without having to spend a fortune to find out. As it happens, I just got the 150 pack of cheap flosses from "the jungle website" and they are certainly adequate quality for testing the embroidery waters. I don't have any frames and live in a remote enough area that they are hard to get hold of, so I would love a shot at winning the frames.
I like the starter kit and the frames. You are very generous. Thank you for sharing. Good luck to all!
I'd love to try the Starter kit or the frames. Another great video (love Ginger Cat) and I'm really looking forward to the video of how to start the lovely sampler you showed us. I wouldn't even know where to begin.
Congratulations Dawn, you have won our embroidery materials starter kit!! Please get in touch with me at sarahhomfray@blueyonder.co.uk or via the contact page on my website (www.sarahhomfray.com/contactus.html) so that we can arrange to send your prize to you! Well done! Sarah x
I love these starter kits. I just struggle to come up with my own designs. Cool that you’re putting a frame worthy piece in with the kit!
Oh you are not kidding about those threads! I ordered a pack and i will never need thread again unless it's a specialty thread. I do work in shorter lengths with it just to avoid the fuzzies. Thanks great video.
I have been cross-stitching off and on since university, but now I would like to try my hand at different kinds of embroidery. Both the frames and the starter kit would be useful. I really enjoy watching your channel.
I just found your videos and boy do they make me want to start embroidery. The "starter" kit would be wonderful. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
Good programme again. The frames would be a great bonus . Merry Christmas.
Would love to try out the starter or frames. Love your videos! Have enjoyed watching them and now just to find some time to sit and try doing a sampler. Thank you for all your hard work to provide videos for us!
I would absolutely love to have the starter set, because I'm relatively new to embroidering and don't have a lot of colors. The kit would fix that hehe. The supplies like the pin cushion, the pens, the needles, etc. would be great to try out as well! Good luck to everyone joining the give away and thank you for the great videos :)
Thank you Sarah! Each video from you, either about a starter kit or frames, is worth watching. Your videos are the second I watch after the news from the front as soon as I’ve got electricity and the Internet. Looking forward to watching your videos first ❤🇺🇦🇬🇧
Let me know what you would like a video on Natasha, and I'll see if I can make it for you....x
If I was lucky enough to win the starter set would be lovely. Thanks for the interesting video.
Great video and thanks for the starter kit review. You showed an interesting variety of fames. Thanks for all your videos, I am glad I found your channel.
Thank you for this amazing review! I have a colleague who mustered the bravery to try cross stitching and asked for my help to decipher the instructions in her kit. She liked stitching a lot so I would love to gift her a similar starter kit - alas we set a ~5£ limit for gifting each other so... 😄
I just marveled at the frames you showed, I have only seen wooden round ones and the flexi ones in person. I think besides these, there are only plastic ones that are the same "mechanism" as wooden ones in the shops in my country. I think the next time I travel to London I will have to raid the RSN shop... 😅
Who couldn’t use a starter kit or a handful of frames to add to their stash? I know I could! I like to use cheaper threads if I am working out a design for color and placement and save the nice threads for the final version of the design.
When you first showed the square frame I was very intrigued, would love to be in the draw for the frames - thank you!
I love that strawberry pincushion ! The Starter or the Frames would be smashing !
I'm very a very new starter, I've watched all your videos hoping to get more comfortable with needles. I used sewing thread and needle to embroider with... It was awkward. I've done one project... I embroidered a pin cushion. 🤭
Be kind to yourself Chante, keep stitching and it wll come
Just found this video. I like your the instruction and explanations. I have worked so many years and raised children, I never had anyone to teach me cross stitch, sewing, and knitting. So I thought I'd give you a chance to teach me. I guess I'm older with grandchildren and would really love to learn now. So I have subbed to your channel looking forward to learning
Welcome onboard Betty!
Thank you for this review. It is great to know that their are inexpensive kits that are useful for someone to try embroidery.it is good to know that you don't have to spend a lot on money to find out if it suits you.
Would love the frames. Thank you Sarah.
Love your videos, you're an excellent teacher! Would love to bag the starter kit or the frames. All the best.
I love the starter kit, I’m just starting out so would be perfect.
Hi Sarah! Thanks for showing us the kit. I'd be happy winning that kit, but the hoops would be nice too. Thanks!
Hi Sarah, I really enjoy your videos. I thought the frames and hoops video was interesting, as I'm just a boring wooden girl. So I'll throw my hat in the ring for the frames. Thanks Belinda
Nothing wrong with wood Belinda! Why re-invent the wheel?!
Many thanks, yet again, Sarah for all the inspiration, help and advice. Either of these wonderful Starter or Frames prizes would delight my stitching-crafty heart 💚 Úna (O'Rourke)
When I started stitching I bought cheap threads from a lovely department store, they are cotton but horrid to use and kind of stick to each other. I think for a beginner that is a handy kit to play with, the winner will love that.
I have some very similar threads to this - I think the same but my kit was thread only. The colour numbers correspond to DMC colours. From my burn test I think they are a cotton/synthetic blend (they were described at 100% cotton though, and I hate misleading sales descriptions!). They were described as 8m and I measured some - they generally came in about 7.7=7.8M which was better than I was expecting!
Ms Homfray - thank you for all of your videos. I’d like to try the different frames 😃. I have started f(rom your videos) to enjoy embroidery! I’m 70+, retired, and wanted to do something different than cross stitch & to me embroidery was the next step - did not realize there were so many different stitches. Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow - I’ve learned so much. Thank you.
Hi Sarah! I'd also be happy winning either of the prizes. Always can use more hoops! Thanks!
Hello Sarah. I'm relatively new to embroidery frames. I am self taught and wasn't even aware of embroidery frames for years. I'm glad I discovered them though, it's certainly a lot easier to embroidery with a well framed fabric. 🙂
The pens alone make the starter kit worth it. And frames are always needed!
Frames! :) Thank you so much for your videos. You taught me French knots and I am forever grateful!
That quite a lot for a kit. I'd like the frames.
I received a very similar beginners kit from that jungle website for Christmas last year, but it included a plastic storage box and left out the embroidery frames. I would love a chance to try out something beyond the thrift shop ring frames I’ve picked up to fill in the gaps. Thanks again for your informative videos.
Thank you for reviewing the starter set. I'm new to embroidery and never know if those bargain sets are worth the money. Starter.
FRAMES you are very generous and I love your videos only recently found you
Welcome onboard Karen!
Wonderful video!! Being an experienced stitcher, I would very much like to be added to the FRAMES giveaway!! Thank you for all your amazing videos and sharing your talent and knowledge with us!! Stay safe ❤️
Sara as a starter of embroidery I enjoy all of your videos. I have learned so very much from u. I do live on a budget . And the starter kit is an awesome deal if I do say so my self. I loved your review of everything that is in it as well. I wish everyone good luck.
I would love the frames I like the different sizes.
You seem very kind. 😊 I'd love the frames!
Starter Frames I have been watching you for a bit now, embroidery and cross stitch are not my first craft but I find I am enjoying the 'change of scenery' from my crochet
A stitcher always needs frames! I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thank you so much. I have loved stitching since I was 5 at my great-grandmother’s knee. Such funny, big crooked stitches next to her meticulous, tiny stitches. 60 years and you’re still teaching me quite a bit!
I don't know if it's been said, but with a lot of these 'starter kits' they will label the floss with the number of the closest DMC equivalent. :)
Either the Starter or the Frames would be wonderful, I love your videos Sarah and am learning something new each time I Watch. Thank you so much.
I'd love the set of FRAMES!
Not a bad kit. Love these videos so much information. Thank you. Frames for me :)
Sarah, as always an excellent video. Although I am not a new starter, the frames will always come in useful.
Excellent review.... love those frames!
I love this review of the starter set. And the frames look like a good deal also. Thank you
Thank you that you tests cheap bundles too. At the moment I am interested in different frames and their use. I know that you have a new video to this issue too. I wish you a great blessed Sunday!
As a beginner who loves embroidery and wants to learn and practice, thank you for this giveaway , and all Channel video,Really helpful. I want to participate for the starter kit and the frames🍀😍
Thank you Sarah. Another wonderful video. Would love the frames!
Love your videos. Very informative. I like the frames as a prize!. Thank you Sarah.
I know a young person who would be delighted with the starter kit and the frames. It is so generous of you to give them away. Love all you videos.
Thank you for your fabulous videos - I love watching them. I would be happy to win either the starter kit or the frames.
You know, I think that actually IS a candle! I'm sure I've seen tealights with that kind of top, and the hole sure looks the size of a wick. 😂
I have enough supplies, but I'm curious what you use to make your cross stitch charts. I've been wanting to start making designs, but nothing I've tried has been satisfactory. At least, not in my beginner bracket of freeware.
Frames. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Sarah. Once again a very informative video.
I'm not a beginner embroidered but I could definitely use the STARTER kit. It has items I could use to replace tools I'm missing. I also could use the FRAMES. I have a few completed embroidery that should be in frames. Thank you for the giveaway and I wish everyone good luck!
I have just finished my first piece of free hand embroidery since I was a child (over 50 years ago!!!) with the help of your videos. I am looking forward to doing more of this and would love to win either the starter kit or the frames to help me along. Thank you so much for your enjoyable and very helpful videos, I'm working my way through them!
You never forget Sally!
Thanks for reviewing that starter kit. I would love to win it. The little strawberry would come in handy and is so cute. Love all those threads and the frames would be very useful too. 😊😊
I'd like to try the starter kit. Thanks for the informative vid. The design is beautiful :)
I just joined up on Patreon for your Channel. I'm so enthused. I just love your ideas. It looks easy when you do it. I've learned quite a bit so far.
Thank you Paulette for your support! I'm glad you are enjoying the videos...
Great video, I'd be happy with the frames or starter kit. Good luck to everyone!
I used to embroider, but it’s been years since. I’d love to get a starter kit to get back into the fun hobby again… The frames would be so helpful as well! Love your GINGER Cat! 🐾🪡
Frames, from a beginner, thank you for sharing your vast experience.
I have enjoyed your videos so much since I found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and artistry with us. ...and I'd love a chance to win the frames! 🙂
Thank you for the video. I’m sure it will help someone start out on their embroidery journey! You can never have too many frames!
Congratulations Carol, you have won the set of embroidery frames! Please get in touch with me at sarahhomfray@blueyonder.co.uk or via the contact page on my website (www.sarahhomfray.com/contactus.html) so that we can arrange to send your prize to you! Well done! Sarah x
I love the starter kit, I inherited some frames from my grandmother who loved cross-stitch. Thank you from the pattern too!
I loved your video on wrapping my frames to help secure my work more gently. I find myself needing more frames as I gift my embroidery projects within the hoop I used to embroider it in. Thanks for sharing these starter embroidery kits from Amazon, I always wondered about the quality as well.

Thank you for the opportunity to enter these starter kit and frame pack giveaways!
I'm loving learning about embroidery from your videos. Thank you.
Ohh the frames!! ❤ Thanks for taking the time to review the kit!
Thank you for the video. Having a starter kit and frames would make diving into a new hobby possible 😊
Frames please! What a difference it made to my embroidery once I started using them!
Love your reveiw of the starter kit. i also watched your channel on frames and realized, that most of my frames are not very good quality. I never knew. Thanks so much for teaching newcomers like me. Great giveaway... I"m learning a lot.
I just started embroidering a year ago. I would love the STARTER kit! I really enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Would have loads of fun trying either the starter or the frames kits!
That was a nice review. The crown is pretty.
Thank you very much for your kindness, Sarah ❤.
I will try with the Starter.
Hugs and kisses from Spain 🌷😽.
Thank you! Starter or frames. 🥰
Interesting to watch and to know there are cheaper versions out there, I’m new to embroidery and aiming to buy less quantity of good quality items when I can, the frames would be brilliant 🥳
