My wife had surgery today in Missouri they prescribed her an opioid which she probably will not take but the only question we had for the pharmacist is how long until it clears her body so she can breastfeed our 7 month old daughter. After 3 minutes of non answers I asked if she was the pharmacist and she said yes but... In today's climate I can't give advice on babies you will have to talk to your O.B. what the actual F is going on.
Everyone reacts to medication differently and we live in a litigious society. The pharmacist does not have access to your wife's medical history or other factors that could affect how she metabolizes medicine. Telling you talk to your doctor was the correct answer.
