So informative! For a solo female attempting a build, your instructions and clear pictures are so helpful! I've watched this twice and will do so again! I'm a new subscriber as well! Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge!
Is there any way for it to drain quieter into the grey tank? or does it sound like that cause the tank was kinda empty or something? Also, did you connect the pump wiring to a 12v panel? Ty!
Hello! How did you connect between the end of drain hose (white colored 1/2" male fitting) and the cap of water tank (1/2" female fitting)? Was there any problem when you connected? I'm also using same hose and water tank, but it doesn't fit so I couldn't connect together.
Hi, Great video. I have a similar reliance tank but the 7 gallons instead. Mine came with a spigot fitting, not a barb fitting, where did you get the barb fitting inset for the top that threaded in properly? Thanks!
How do you hook the pump up to electricity? I've watched like 10 videos and they all say, "step --- attach the water pump" without explaining how and I am quite confused.
Depends on if your running 12v dc off the battery or if you get a 100 amp pump for ac (alternating current) like a house. If it's 12v dc you'll have to run a wire off your battery banks positive and negative terminal. It would be easy to hook it to a switch also, that way you can turn it off completely by a switch close to the sink if for some reason your water line gets a leak. The pumps will have a pressure switch built in so when they reach a certain pressure the motors turn off until you open the faucet, then when the water pressure drops they turn on automatically. If your not around and it springs a leak the pump will run continuously. Even after the waters all pumped out of your tank, then you'll probably end up with a burnt up pump and a mess of water to clean up. If its 100 amp you could plug it into a power strip with a switch to turn off, or wire it from a wall switch. That will depend on how fancy you want to get. A 12v from a battery bank you can also go with a fancier switch or a cheap toggle switch. Just make sure you don't get a momentary switch, thats the kind you have to hold down to work and when you let off the button it stops the power.
Hi there! Our total plumbing costs were 107.85. This doesn’t include the drinking water bottle which was $14.99 for the first bottle, but less for refills and exchanges. We have also refilled the bottle with tap water when available.
In the description you’d find a link to a blog post that has the full list of materials and tools used, but I’ll leave it here too: abroadreachtravel.com/van-plumbing
Excellent presentation. Thank you.
This video answered my question as to how the Camco Drain works in conjunction with the Sinks Drain...I've spent two hours on this...Thanks!
Glad we could help! Best of luck with your build!

Thank you so much for the kind words!! We are so happy you’ve found it useful! Thank you for subscribing!
Thank you so much for posting this. I just watched another video for doing the sink and that one had too many steps to do the same thing.

Tim Morrissey I cut the end off of the spigot just before the valve. My hose fit on perfectly!
@@AbroadReachTravel got it! Thanks for the extra info.

I'm doing this is my vintage mobile home I'm just gonna run an extension cord to an outlet and do it that way.

So the pump automáticamente turns on when you open the tap?
That is the question i have. How would the pump know to turn on just by opening the valve...

How did you hook up the pump ?
Right!? Completely skipped over the most complicated part of this build
I feel like you skipped over an important part… how is the pump connected?? Where does the plumbing and wires go????
Where did you get the plastic "RV adapter"?
From Amazon: amzn.to/2Pa1yJ4. The full materials and tools list can be found on this blog post: abroadreachtravel.com/van-plumbing/
Where did u a touched the electric pump
how much were all of the materials for this video? i cant find a total on the blog

Why not listed the products used so people know what to buy and where?!

You didn’t show how to connect the tube in the water tank
dont like it -too complex
I’m not sure how you could make it more simple and still have an electric pump?
@@AbroadReachTravel dont like the pump
@@AbroadReachTravel you can't. this is as simple as I've found and pretty good visuals to show what you were doing. thanks!
