I stumbled on your channel after watching some Welker's Farms video's. I'm not sure about your age, BUT you're one hell of a hard working young man, I really can't say anymore other than you have amazing parent's that taught you hard work from day one, and the one thing I appreciate the most from your video's of the family dairy farm. You guy's work your asses off to keep it clean and up to date, unlike many other dairy you tubers, I'm twice your age man and a disabled vet, but it would be my honor to attempt one day of your work schedule
This has been one of my favorites when it comes to harvesting. I think because it was done at night and you were able to get so many different perspectives. Great job !
Thanks for taking the time out of your already busy schedule to post videos like this, just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and subscribed soon thereafter. Your parents did a good job raising such a hard working son, kudos to them as well as yourself and every other farmer who does this on a daily basis.
Just stumbling upon your videos randomly dont know why it showed up in my recommended, but I'm glad it did. You have a great creative mind with a good sense for videography. Scenes like @ 0:37 seconds, are small things that add a huge amount of production value to your videos. I dont think a lot of viewers will see it and think much of it, but subconsciously it makes the videos way more thought out. Thanks for your content
That’s a complex operation you’ve got there bro!! And kudos for being a young multi tasking farmer. Boys like you we choose to be officers in the military. Thanks for sharing, God bless!!
Incredible video. In the late 80' I would never imagined how fast farmers cut hay compared to when I use to. Your videos are such outstanding. So much action and fast pace. Better than Bush Gardens or Kings Dominion. I do not know why you have to chop hay at night. That's why you are the Farmer and I am not. Thank You George Netroe Deltaville, Va
Greetings, as someone mentioned your channel just appeared for viewing and glad for it. You are a great worker and looking after your farm, AND I NOTICED YOU STICK TO STRICT HOURS OF WORK. UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE. CONGRATULATIONS.
Looks like you're fortunate to have a dedicated custom operator not everybody jumps at the chance to work most of the night! Really good he understands that duty calls ! Thanks for the video!
I was just about to go milking but then saw your new video and had to watch it . I really like to see your videos Greetings from a 120 head dairyfarm in germany
First time ever seeing the process and the machinery you used on the farmland but that was awesomely satisfying! Seeing the whole process from beginning to end and discovering how your vehicles and machinery work together. It's so cool to see the large scale machines in motion, especially from only seeing this on a much smaller scale in a residential area with a regular lawn mower. A very interesting and educational video I stumbled upon unexpectedly, that tedding process looked like transformers!! haha, awesome work sir, keep on keepin on!
I could watch you cut hay all day!! You had an awesome first cutting!! Totally amazing video shots very cool 😊 Thanks!! Be safe keep us posted always love watching 🌞
I wish we had a harvester but just had the concrete block type. Mostly chopped corn and every now and the would put up oats. Was always fun filling the silos. We had our own chopper, blower and wagons. The first blower we had was driven by a belt from the tractor. Always used a WD45 Allis Chalmers and it took time to get the tractor lined up just right the the belt didn't come off the pulleys. The space was about 20 feet from tractor to blower.
Naw Bob nob, I'm just suggesting that this guy has such an exceptional work ethic (which most people his age don't) that any businessman would be lucky to have an entire crew just like him to ensure success. Not trying to exploit anyone here, I was honestly paying this man a compliment.
Man that blower really hogs the feed in. Glad to see you guys can get out in the field and get something done. We dont have a kerbal of corn in the ground in michigan. About a week or so out from chopping hay. If it ever quits raining.
You are to be recommanded for really looking after your equipment. Greasing and keeping it in good shape saves a lot of money down the road and saves you from fixing at times when it is very inconvenient to do so. Good for you !
🤗A very long day and the satisfaction of knowing that you have top quality feed ready to go. I just love your nice tidy big sheds, such an asset to be able to store your machinery under cover. On a different subject..... how are things financially for you farmers over there, have things gone backwards, stayed the same or improving?
From what I've seen on some other RUclipsrs in your area I bet your glad it's in the silo after the storms that just went through. I'm up by Erie and it's been so cold and wet grass hasn't grown much and I haven't done nothing yet in the fields. thanks for the great job on the videos.
Its amazing how it gets that to the top. I done it about 30 years ago blowing corn silage with a different set up. Not sure the name but it had paddle like arms and slapped it up in a tube.
Could you do a farm tour and feeding cows vid Please love your channel and videos never stop making videos or my life will be sad without your vids 🐄🐄🐄🐄🐮🐮🐮🔥🔥😎😎🐄🐮
You prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Dangelo Elliot Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Very interesting. I have never seen how alfalfa was processed like that before. I've only seen it cut and baled as hay. Why is the arm on the mower so long so that the mower sits a long ways behind the tractor, and why does the mower run offset to the tractor?
Love the videos keep them coming, you have very informative information that some people wouldn't think much of it. Do you have to have a manure management plan yearly. And as it looks you don't have wet spots as your ground is flat and no creeks nearby. Where again are you located at ? Are you married ? You should have your dad in your videos more and how many help you milk and how many cows do you milk 2x a day ? Do you look at any expansion in the near future. Who picks up your milk ? We have a milk plant here in Sanborn Ia. They just did a major addition to make more cheese and in September they started building a cooler to hold the cheese until its ready to ship to the buyers, our cheese plant is A.M.P.I. there headquarters is in Rochester Mn I believe. Our cheese usually gets hauled to the caves in Carthage Mo where its aged and cut up or shredded by Schreiber Foods. How big of a truck picks your milk up a semi tankers ?
Hey man awesome video I really love it bless you and all your family! Any tips how to plant the alfalfa over here en Mexico we do the things a bit different.
I just shut my harvestor silos down last year and switched to a bagger. You guys think you would ever do that? I no the harvestor silos aren't cheap to keep running, and a bagger is just as good feed quality, and alittle faster to fill.
Probably not. We used to use bags for corn silage but now have bunks. We like the silos for haylage and triticale. Harvestore silo are kinda pricey to maintain though
Love the channel, you are doing a great job. However, young men on top of the silo scares old women like me! Praying for a hedge of protection around you.
Wow great to see Americans working hard!!! Thanks for the videos!! America has always been great!!

I had never seen alfalfa store directly into a silo. Always seen it bailed. That's pretty neat! Thank for the video.
Love the view from the chopper! Really gives a good perspective on how much is being cut and blown from that angle! Thanks!

Great Impressive Farm !!! You are a VERY HARDWORKING young man... Keep up the great work...!!!

I wish I had 25 of you for my business. I'd be a multi millionaire in 2 years.
Yay, exploitation.

Looks like a good first cut Eric also good to see another video out so soon!
Great video! WOW! On top the harvestor with haylage going in at night! Have a great Summer!

i love your camera work and all the shots u get thanks. feels like farm simulator
2 of my favorite things to do when I was farming were spreading manure and mowing hay mis it so much
Thanks for posting really love your videos
Good look from in the chopper cab! Good video.
🤗A very long day and the satisfaction of knowing that you have top quality feed ready to go. I just love your nice tidy big sheds, such an asset to be able to store your machinery under cover. Things have been slowly improving thankfully
@@10thgenerationdairyman thats heartening to know. Thankyou 🤗👍💖🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
Awesome footage Eric
Those are cool shades you are wearing, Eric! I continue to enjoy your videos. I had never heard the term "tedding" before. All the best.

I'm up by Erie and it's been so cold and wet grass hasn't grown much and I haven't done nothing yet in the fields. thanks for the great job on the videos.
Yeah thankfully we didn't get much rain here this weekend, should be able to plant corn this week.
Nice ride along in the Claus and the loading of the Gehl beater wagons and the Massey Tractors and the loading of the Harvester.
Nothings tall enough yet up my way to cut. Great video!!
Dude, you are what I think of as a classic Midwesterner - knows what he's doing, self-sufficient, can-do attitude, fix it yourself approach....
He's in Pennsylvania though.....
@@justincormier1573 I guess there are good people like that in Pennsylvania too, eh?
Its amazing how it gets that to the top. I done it about 30 years ago blowing corn silage with a different set up. Not sure the name but it had paddle like arms and slapped it up in a tube.
It's commonly called a blower and that exactly how this one works.
Keep up the great work brother
Great video, nothing like fresh smell of cut haulage chopped. Best ever smell , I love it . We haven’t even started planting yet lol
That's rough, we have a bunch to do yet too
Wright farms Hoffman I don’t know I think freshly chopped corn smells just a bit better in my opinion.
great shot of the silo and blowing up top !
Just found this channel great content well done
Another great vid, thanx for sharing.
much Love from the city of pittsburgh!
Mate, some cool videos got. Never seen this stuff happening. Keep up good work.

Getting excited! Couple days out here in Eastern Iowa.
I live in upper New York... so many dairy farms.... with miles of corn an hay and straw...

Very cool. We start chopping tomorrow up here in NEPA.
Great video man. Discovered you earlier last week and I'm digging everything you've been putting out!
Thanks!
Wow👍👍👍👍 good job on the video👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great lesson on cutting and how its done
6:20 - beautiful cinematography
I’m from the city so all of these things look like death traps - even the thing in the silo in the beginning - such a dangerous job!!
Love the smell of fresh alfalfa
love me some alfalfa :) great vid partner
With the amount of greasing you have to do it would be wise to invest in a battery powered one ! 🏴
Dude amazing video.learned so mucj
Great video!! Keep it up!!!
1st cutting already! It's still 45 in northern Minnesota
Great camera work 👍🏻
Great video ☺️
You should put a gopro inside the mower so we can see the blades
levi the chill Templeton that’s a horrible idea lol
nice video. Love from Indonesia!
Could you do a farm tour and feeding cows vid
Please
love your channel and videos never stop making videos or my life will be sad without your vids
🐄🐄🐄🐄🐮🐮🐮🔥🔥😎😎🐄🐮
Thanks, I did a cow feeding vid a while back
at the end when you were up on the silo you could have spit on them and they would have thought it was raining lol but really good video
Damn changing the blades on that mower is a pain compared to the Kuhn mowers, although we change the gearboxes all the time because they go bad 😂😂
You prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?

@Dominic Titan You are welcome =)
Tell your busy we dont see the mountain dew commercials anymore
Eric, I hope you are getting kickbacks from Mountain Dew, Pepsi, and Coke.
Looks like a good crop. Nice vid. What do u pay to have your forages chopped and hauled if u don't mind sharing.
Retiring soon and doing research on starting a hay field. What is the difference between bailing or storing in a silo? Thanks for the cool video.
Very interesting. I have never seen how alfalfa was processed like that before. I've only seen it cut and baled as hay. Why is the arm on the mower so long so that the mower sits a long ways behind the tractor, and why does the mower run offset to the tractor?

I bet that stuff smells great
That 4240 could use a clean🤩
Badass man!
watch the 2 large bolts that connect each pod, if one breaks it can mean major$ and headaches on the disbine
Great video. Get pics I learned how silage got in silo
Good rake!!!!
