@@hellocheckco They had an opportunity to really bring something new to the space and they dropped the ball. I love Ferris and have used one for many years now but seems kinda pointless to just re brand a Ferris
@@Dustin922 I hear you. Honestly I had never demoed a Ferris (no dealers around me), so in the full length video I'm going to be really surprised by the suspension and how the deck floats. But then we started hearing that it was just a Ferris, so we went to their booth and sure enough it was. I personally spoke with a Ferris rep and asked him point blank "is the new Stihl just a repainted Ferris?" and he said it basically was, but that Stihl had some extra specs they added (I'm sure it's an oversimplification, but the only things he mentioned was the USB chargers and lights). I noticed some other cosmetic things (compare the rear tubing), but all the controls were the same. Stihl basically made an agreement with Briggs and Stratton to manufacture it and since Ferris is manufactured by them too I'd assume they didn't change what was already working.
