That pull off from 11-9-7 is tricky. Kind of hard to bar the 7th fret when ur extending so far with ur pinky

@@sabuomarrr1 Play 11-p-7-7, it will be easier to play. This part can be played easily with long fingers.
@@jweasyguitar I can reach without problem and pulling off from 11 to 9 is easy too but i just have a problem keeping that 7th fret barred. Uh guess im gonna have to practice it a little

I'm sorry to be the only negative person here but this isn't a lesson people! This is him playing it at a slower tempo with tabs on the screen. A lesson is someone describing step by step every part of the song and how to play it. I got the same lesson from just listening to the song. Thumbs down 👎

That phrase has dogged guitar players since the day this song was released. I've seen it ended a couple of ways. Just a half second before the clean verse starts

I've seen Mark do it live where you can't tell which way he's doing it

I call it the half-assed Pinch Harmonic. For whatever reason, it's just a hard one to grab properly. And moving your pick and thumb closer to the bridge or closer to the neck gives your Pinch Harmonic a different pitch.
Also, the single note line on the G string

It's legato. You can also play it as
9p7p6-7 and pick the last note.
Either way, Mark uses wah on that melody there.

I just want to point out that during the prechorus on the album, if you count it as

The second measure, played on the 5th fret, right where I've placed the asterisk * you can hear Mark accidentally play a gallop
Mark has said that everybody would roll their eyes at him and laugh and make fun of him saying that the metal gallop thing was dead.
We're on RUclips. Look up the isolated guitar track if it hasn't been taken down. You'll still hear it on the instrumental upload.
Just thought it was fun to point that out for people to listen for. Play it however you want. Nobody will know the difference
