I already have Volcanion in SwSh and transferred him to home! I just need Hoopa and Diancie! (I have Hoopa in PoGO but don’t want to transfer him since he was a main quest event Pokémon)
I just went on reddit to the pokemon home subreddit and asked if anyone could trade me the last mythicals I need and then trade them back, someone should help you

Kind of wonder if it meant the Dexit National dex as before Home, was calibrated to work with smartphones, it was almost impossible to get the pokemon not available at all. Course now it kind of is except Furfrou and the Gen 5 and up legendaries (that aren't in the DLCs)

The kicker is that Original Color Magearna was in the code for gen7 games, but was never made available. But at least unlike Eternal Flower Floette (which was in the code a whole generation earlier and STILL has yet to be made available), it was made available not long after its initial generation ended.
Fun Fact: You only need the National Dex up to Sword and Shield as they never increased the required Dex amount after PLA and SV. So you only need the first 898 Pokémon in your Nat Dex
And it’s harder now because you need a 3DS with Pokémon Bank to just get a Spinda, and the elemental monkeys and the Patrat line, but you can use Pokémon Go for them, but it’s still hard (I’m not counting Furfrou because he’s gonna be in ZA).
@@Rockstar_Pigpatch Spinda cannot be transferred from GO and BDSP. You need to rely on the mercy of GTS for that if you don't have Bank. 🤷🏻♂️ The elemental monkey should be many in GTS, too. I often transfer my excess from GO to my friend's Home. 😊
This was an extremely gruesome task. I’m glad I did it before gen 9 was a thing. Not sure if they updated the requirements but I wasn’t gonna take the chance
Gen 9 just makes it easier as there are more farmable mythicals in that game in case you missed the events. PLA lets you get ALL the Gen 4 mythicals. BD/SP give you Mew and Jirachi, and If you got Pokemon Crystal and Bank you can get unlimited Celebis and same for Deoxys in OR/AS. and Keldeo and Meloetta are both in the DLCs for Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet respectively.
There’s one other thing to mention. If you transfer Pokémon to Pokémon Home through Pokémon Bank, you’ll get the entire Gen 1-7 Pokedex registered, meaning you only have to register Grookey through Eternatus to get this Magearna.
The downside is the Nature is randomized. It would have been batter if any event Pokémon would have any of the neutral Natures for us to decide what moves and Mints we want to give them.
It probably doesn’t have a time limit. I completed the Dynamax Zeraora event from 2020 and barely got the Zeraora a year ago. But you’ll probably need Pokemon Home on your phone. That’s why I couldn’t get it for a while.
Certain event Pokémon in HOME do actually expire after 30 days if you have not claimed them. It's the ones for performing certain tasks - Magearna, Pikachu, Pichu, and Rotom.
For anyone else that needs both apparently if you transfer from Go to Home or Let's Go for the Melmetal it gives you a thing in Go that makes multiple Meltan spawn for like an hour. So should hopefully be quick to get both. I'm gonna try it soon

Got this unintentionally lol. I've been casually working on a living dex for years and was absolutely delighted when Bank came out. Even went through the headache of moving years worth of hoarding when Bank was put on notice and getting hundreds of saved mons to Home. Legit didn't even notice I got the Megearna 😂 just saw it in one of the boxes. Guess being a hoarder pays off sometimes.
As far as I'm aware the month limit is no longer true. Everything I found said a month but mine came without a time limit and I had it there for way longer than a month
I thought the hardest to get was manaphy which could only be gotten in the original Pokémon ranger and you only had ONE chance per game cartridge if you messed up that was it.
So basically, to get a pokeball colored magearna, you have to use Pokémon home so Gamefreak can hold an entire national dex worth of your Pokémon hostage. Fantastic.

How I got this Pokemon: 1) Evolve all Mareep and Wurmple in Pokemon Go. 2) Transfer Flaafy, Silcoon, and Cascoon to Pokemon Home. 3) Trade these 3 for every Pokemon you are missing. 4) Trade Legendaries for other Legendaries to complete Dex Entries 5) You don't need Mythical Pokemon (my Magearna unlocked before I got them all)
Ngl, once i wrote down everything i needed for the home dex to get this, i spent a week bouncing between all the pokemon switch games and it wasnt all that hard since most if not all of the dex is obtainable with just the switch games alone
You actually just need to get all the Pokémon up to magearna in order to get it but there is a small problem with completing though….. you need every Single Pokémon up until Pokédex entry #801 and without Pokémon Go getting mythical Pokémon will be impossible for ones such as hoopa volcanion gensect or diancie so good luck!
it gifts you all 3 starters w hidden abilities to be precise (same w swsh and bdsp) Also I believe it is only the National Pokédex up to gen 7 you need to complete
I have the pokedex completed since B2W2, so capturing every pokemon form any new generation is relatively easy, so I received this Magearna without trying.
It was easy for me because before Home I was working on a living form Pokedex in every single generation PLUS an additional living form Pokedex Not easy to do that, but easy to get Magearna as I just needed to get the added SWSH Pokemon
if you had bank pokedex completed, you just needed to complete Galar dex, what sucks is that if you got a copy that was modified, and didnt knew and used bank to transfer mons between games then your home now has registered impossible shinies on its dex

I finally got mine this year. I just kind of looked in home one day and noticed I had 900 different Species hit home. I figured I might as well finish it off. The biggest problem of couree is mythicals. I had to touch trade for a few of them so while I finished this quest there is some part of it that feels incomplete.
To me pokemon home is exactly that. A home for pokemon who make me think back to the journeys together - a familiarity like home. The 6 from each game that I went through the elite four and region with. It would be nice if a professor of your choice was at the Home to welcome you lol imagine being able to link your old pokemon from your first game here and seeing them in a box with the new (and old sprites/art) alongside your newest teams
Regular Magearna is probably the easiest to get out of these 3. There's a QR code you can scan for Sun and Moon that sends Magearna to the antique shop in Melemele Mall as part of a special delivery to you. The QR code never expires.
"forever" is kind of a stretch, you'll likely be out of luck until more pokemon games come out with previously locked pokemon, such as furfrou, spinda, the elemental monkeys, and patrat line. That's it, all others are available on the current switch games. Luckily, one such game, Legends AZ, will be pretty much guaranteed to bring all of these, netting you this pokemon with only requiring switch games. Also likely why the previous storage system is being aged out as it will technically become redundant
Having missed out on the Zeraora event in SwSh that space on my living dex will forever haunt me until it reappears (kinda upset it wasn’t made available as a special thing with pokemon Unite like it was with that game)
Magearna is currently impossible to get, because Bank was shut down. Because there are still pokemon completely unavailable in any switch pokemon game.

you can easily get manaphy in legends arceus it has its own mission, and you also get a bunch of phione too!!

They don't have to stay at HOME. Move them to your gen-8 and gen-9 games.

Finish my full living dex in home last month. Once I decided to go for it, it took my around 2 weeks to get it

Ultra ball: same but now do it with shinies.
How I got this Pokemon:

I've been working off and on with the Pokedex. Even when I was working on it constantly took me about 6 months just to get past the 750 mark
