Well the lore was mostly created by Jaden Jeong, who guided the group up through Butterfly. There was disagreement between him and BBC as to the direction of the group, there was even an completed album called The Ballad, that he "deleted" when he left the company. There was a lot of speculation, and rumors about how bad Jaden was for the group, but it seemed that was probably made up by BBC, or disgruntled fans, based on the fact that OEC, Heejin, and Haseul went to his company after getting out of the BBC contracts. There was a marked difference after he left BBC of the Loona sound, I always felt the new title tracks were missing something. Of course, now we know there was a lot of shady crap going on with BBC, with the owners, and the parent company, and they could care less about the lore, it's no wonder they destroyed it, and the group.
This really barely scratches the surface of the lore so I'm excited about the deeper dive. Without any backstory the vivi being an Android thing is so random😂 I'd love a deep dive hihi Also wondering if there's a chance for a purple kiss deep dive?

I would LOVE a deep dive for Loona, be it next week, next year or on patreon. Loona is my ult group and is what got me into kpop so it feels like I'm discovering them all over again when i watch you fall in love with them!! Love your vids

If you haven't seen it, the "Sun and Moon" stage from Queendom 2, where Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul and Chuu collaborated with Chaehyun and Youngeun from Kep1er, is one of the most beautiful vocal performances I have ever seen.
You're in for a JOURNEY. Yeah, that video is a little old, but it's a great overview. My personal favorite theory series is Sua's SinB's Eclipse Theory series, but that's super long and really unnecessary, and also outdated by now. As long as you know the basics, you can mostly guess at the rest.
Just a little fun fact, Mixnine not only had 2 Loona members (Heejin and Hyunjin, YG rejected Haseul), but also 4 members of Dreamcatcher (!), Jiu, Yoohyeon, Siyeon and Dami, and Itzy's Ryujin!
I just watched Loona's audition clip and its actually so upsetting how rude YG was to them, he said they were less pretty than the people on the debut bus and laughed when Haseul said they were told they were skilled enough to each have a solo album 😭😭 like yeah YG Haseul doesn't dance the best but that is because she is LITERALLY a vocalist

I just want to say something regarding Hyeju's (Olivia Hye) training period. I am 100% convinced that the narrative that she was a trainee for ONE DAY is, at best, exaggerated. She HAD to have been involved for a long time beforehand. Hyeju needed to learn her song, record her song, master the choreo, and get fitted for the outfits she'd wear in the MV. As for the MV itself, they'd need to plan out the storyline, scout locations, get permits to film on location (which could take months), arrange for transportation and catering, and they would need some security to make sure some random didn't just wander into their set. It makes for a good story that Hyeju was a one-day trainee, but it doesn't hold water when scrutinized more closely and this is coming from someone who had her as one of my first biases in the group.
The audition was with the debut choreography and song I believe. The trainess had 24 hrs to learn it. She was in dance academies but I think the 1 day trainee is true, but maybe not perform on stage right out the gate

So she basically started to *prepare* for her debut without any trainee experience. So it’s not like she was a trainee for 1 day and then BOOM egoist mv released. (Edit: and like other people said, she had been apart of a dance academy and dancing for a long time so she had some prior skills)
From what I understand, there's the group of trainees, the trainees on the "debut team", and then the groups that debut. I have seen her narrative as this: she joined the company with previous dance experience, and in one day was placed into the debut team. She didn't have the MV released literally the day after she auditioned, but she never spent much time in the "trainee" category. She was just placed into the trainees that were going to debut *really* fast.
I think "1 day" refers to the time period before being chosen to debut. Like, not that she auditioned, and then **bam** Egoist came out the next day. Rather, instead of being added to BBC's pool of trainees (a.k.a the "blurred girls"), she just became part of the debut line-up pretty much immediately. Also I thiiink the audition Hyeju did was using Egoist's choreo already. She also didn't get picked right away, from what she said. She initially got denied and then got a call a week later telling her she could debut if she lost 6kg in one week. She said once that week was over and she went, got weighted and got told she made the cut, she was called right after that and was told she had a schedule the next day (probably a photoshoot, since BBC atp is known to have grabbed most of YYXY in a rush and did "test photoshoots" that ended up being for the single albums). So I think it can pretty much be said she was a part of the group a day after being picked. Edit: Just saw I wrote stuff kinda similar to the person above me but it was a total coincidence lmao, sorry about that😅
