Hey Mark, now that was the perfect ending to my day! I am really thankful for your genuine words and encouraged to know you are enjoying the videos and feel inspired to visit the Parks!
Mark Berry Acadia NP is an experience you must not miss. In the last decade, I’ve been there four times. I do a fair amount of amateur photography, and the options for that are endless. The combination of the ocean, (and smell) fresh water lakes, topography, seafood, and places to stay, is what makes it so special to me! It’s a national treasure!

Hey Katharine, now that really was a heartwarming comment! Thank you! Totally agree, from our honeymoon in Acadia (1996) to now my fourth visit - this is (IMHO) the most beautiful place east of the Mississippi - maybe in the entire US. You are blessed to live there. Appreciate your kind hospitality!
I always love your videos! You and your family are so adventurous, and your followers love getting to go to all of these parks with you! I must say though. . . I did particularly enjoy 6:32-8:08 for. . . visual reasons. Lol. Keep traveling!

Wow ! What a fantastic video ! I loved everything about it(although your climb up the Beehive did make me a bit nervous ! ) I love the relationship you and your daughter have and both of you have a sense of adventure and joy that is truly inspirational ! I am hooked on your videos and have been loving every one of them ! Keep up the great work !
In the last year or so my girlfriend and I started really getting into national parks across the country partly because of your videos. And I wanted to thank you for opening my eyes to the beauty that this country contains. It’s really frustrating sometimes though with the crowds in these parks. We went to Glacier and couldn’t even do some of the things we wanted to cause the parking was full from sunrise to sunset.
Wonderful to hear, Chris! As for the second paragraph, I have "kind of" given up on visiting the popular parks during prime tourist season. Personally, I would love to see the NPS implement a reservation system to protect the lands and allow people more enjoyment.
What a great channel! Searched for a video on Yosemite and stumbled upon your channel. Great content. Starting to watch pretty much all of your videos now.
Absolutely endless things to do in Acadia- I recommend a week! Amazing hikes and the carriage trail are incredible to bike on. Check out the Popovers at Jordan Pond House. Try the MDI ice cream. For camping, camp at Mount Desert Campground. Check out Geddy’s in Bar Harbor and the Thirsty Whale! We love blueberry picking on the paths on Cadillac Mtn. Hike to the Bowl and go for a swim! Love this place- 👍
Thanks, Meggan, totally agree! If you have a chance, take a look at our second day video - did some of the stuff you recommended. And the carriage trails - missed that one, but I've heard that they alone are reason to visit Acadia. Great suggestions for the viewers - really appreciate it!
i live in Bar Harbor and i make sure to get my family out of the house and into the park so they can truly see how beautiful it is. Very grateful to live in such an amazing place.
Nice to hear and so true! Acadia is one of the most beautiful places with so many activities to enjoy! I hope families, now with more time on their hands, will read and heed your advice!
I've never been there before but from the videos I've seen of Acadia it looks like its the most beautiful National Park in the Eastern United States. That Beehive trail was unreal! Your drone shots were great and the boats looked like there were toys honestly lol. Definitely looking forward to part 2. Have a blessed weekend!
Always blessed by your kind words, Eric. You have a great heart! Know you love to travel, so hope you can make it out there. Totally agree - one of the best east of the Mississippi! Enjoy your weekend!
I was born and raised here. my family was the second to actually settle on the island after Abraham Somes, which Somes sound is named after. my family the Richardson's came shortly after. I am the 9th generation on the island. i thank you all for doing a great video of acadia national park!! :)
Hey Matt, thanks for taking the time to share those fascinating and encouraging words! I absolutely love that area! Great heritage I trust you can be very proud of!

@@AmericasParks You and your family as well! My wife and I leave for Acadia late August, so we are super-pumped! We watched your video of you and your other daughter on the half-dome cables! Wow......
Hey Michael, thanks so much for that inspiring and encouraging comment! I have three daughters and began taking them on National park trips back in 2009. One of the best things for our relationship. So many incredible memories! Keep being a great dad!
Hey George, appreciate the kind words! So neat to hear about your experience in Acadia. Similar activities, but unique and personal memories! Sounds like you caught some nice fall colors - bucket list! lol!
Loved the comment, Jacob! It's been a good haul with my three daughters. Sensing your heart's desires, I'm sure you'll be a good dad as well. Congrats on the engagement. We did our honeymoon in Acadia in 1996.
Just got back from Acadia. Great place to visit. Loved the hiking. I don't have the physical ability to do the precipice or beehive anymore, but gorham trail, bubble ruck and the bowl were challenging and great hikes.
That's wonderful to hear! Hope to get part 2 out next week followed by three more stops we made at other national sites. You'll love it there - especially Acadia - so beautiful and so much to do!
Wonderful to hear. Devon! IMHO, Acadia is one of the most diverse National Parks. So much to do! If you didn't see it, check out my part 2 on Acadia for more ideas. And one thing we didn't do that I heard is great is rent bikes and cruise the carriage trails. Enjoy your trip!
Randy, Thanks for sharing your hike with Hailey to the Beehive. Your video of the iron rungs is outstanding, and what a challenge to the top! As you said, huge compliment by Hailey that this is her favorite National Park Hike. LOBSTER! Hailey is correct, you haven't been to Maine if you don't try the fresh lobster. I am impressed that you have the same attraction to light houses I have. The only ones in Maine I have been to are Portland Head Light and Cape Neddick Light (Nubble). THANK YOU for the visit to Bass Harbor Light! . . . Mike
We really enjoy all your videos, this one got us really excited because Acadia is out next adventure. Thank you for inspiring us to travel and explore!!

I started watching this 3 nights ago - got interrupted and just came back to it 😂 That rocky coast is gorgeous! I of course, enjoyed the boats from above. That food looked amazing - can’t imagine trying to cook while using a crutch!
It was a special trip. My daughter and I just watched it together this morning. Acadia IMHO is the best National Park east of the Mississippi. So unique and so much to do!
This is wonderful! My boyfriend surprised me with a dream trip to Maine and we visited Arcadia park and documented the whole journey for our channel. There was so much to see and do and the break was wonderful. Feel free to take a look :)
Thanks guys, so happy to hear you have visited this amazing National Park! I've been to so many of them and this is one of my personal favorites east of the Mississippi. Look forward to seeing it through your eyes.
@@AmericasParks It's definitely a place to visit more than once, haha, there's still so much more to see for me. I'd love to do more hiking trails next time. Love your video, 💜 thanks for checking ours out :)
My pleasure, Dave! You chose a great place to visit! The Beehive was indeed one of our highlights. I plan to get "day 2" up on Friday. Have a great trip!
Hello Randy! I've been away from RUclips for a bit however I have a trip planned to go to Acadia in September with one of my son's. I immediately came here to your channel to get your take on this beautiful part of our country. I am compromised by some mobility issues ...but I am going to enjoy every aspect that I can. have camped @ Acadia several times. like another world. great video guys. we used to walk out from Bar harbor to Bar island @ low tide, many star fish. hey folks pumping air mattresses after dark, outside of campgrounds. you are welcome @ my campfire anytime.
Hey Alan, so nice to read comments like yours! Acadia is among the best - would be honored to visit your campfire one of these days! I'm sure we could exchange some good Acadia stories!
I've been vacationing in Acadia every June for ten years, and whenever I have a guest along for their first visit, Beehive is the first trail I take them on. It's iconic, neither crazy long nor crazy difficult (ie Precipice, lol), you sweat and it's so worth it. Even now, it's in my top 3. Love to see someone else as in love with that hike as me!!
Really cool, Amalia! Great taste as Acadia is one of my favorite National Parks too. :) So much to do and so much beauty. Hope you are able to go in 2020 for your annual trip!
I love this video. I took my family to Acadia last week and we had a great time. I hope we can go back there someday so that my 9 year old daughter now can negotiate the more challenging trails. Looking forward to it. Keep up the good work!
Really appreciate your kind words and heart, Karl! Happy to hear you've been out there and prioritize investing yourself in the life of your family. My daughters were around the same age as yours when we started our National Park adventures! Have a blessed day!
Great video guys! Acadia is the place to go in the summer! I have heard great things about beehive and it looks like something I would love to do myself one day! The only one in the ocean - that sounds like you Randy! Good on you for jumping in!
i went to acadia this summer! i’ve been going every summer since i was really little, and it was cool because i recognized and have done most of the things u did!
Great video! Acadia is an awesome place, but I have to say my Maine highlight was climbing Mt. Katahdin. Would love to see you do a video on climbing that one.
Hey Roger, it's funny you said that! I am presently in the process of editing our Katahdin NM video. Although we didn't have the time to climb the mountain, I got some great video of the area. Loved Acadia National Park! Never got to do the Beehive trail so it was cool seeing it from your perspective. Definitely will be back though. :) Thanks for sharing the adventure as always! - Shane
Thanks, Shane! The Beehive is a great hike. I heard the Precipice is better, but whenever I go to Acadia is closed for nesting birds. Have a great weekend, my friend!
Neat! Glad to hear you've experienced this amazing place! We travel to all the National Parks, and IMHO, Acadia is one of the BEST - definitely east of the Mississippi!
Awesome video, been awhile since i have been to Maine and a very long time since i was in this Park thanks for taking us with you. Crazy hike and nice lighthouse too..
Thanks, my friend! Nice to have this gem a little closer to our home. Great to hear you've been out there. Pretty amazing place - so much diversity in activities.
What great videos thx! My husband and I are heading up in September, also from NJ. I think you and Haley have me convinced we should do the Beehive (although have to admit I am a little intimidated). I am looking forward to checking out more of your channel. Thanks again!
Thanks so much, Ellen! Nice to meet a fellow friend from NJ! September should be great up there... and the Beehive is incredible (really think it looked scarier in the video). :)
Wow, it was busy! The beehive trail is really cool, and what a view! I have to agree with your daughter. Ah ah, I knew you wouldn't resist jumping in the water Randy 😂 A special place full of beautiful family memories. Love this lighthouse. Funny how despite all the travels, there are still moments when we are totally unprepared 😊 Great Day 1 adventure 💖
Thanks so much! Have you guys been out to Maine? If not, any plans to hit the East Coast? IMHO, Acadia is one of the best National Parks east of the Mississippi.
Sir, your vids are very good (both informational & entertaining). God bless you & your family! From one Jersey guy to another (I guess you from Jersey) :)
Thanks so much, Maurice! Since there is so much to do in Acadia (and the surrounding regions) too many people miss out on the incredible hikes the Park has to offer. Some of the best trails are closed when the birds nest, so be sure to check in advance before scheduling a trip! Peace...
@@MauriceHogan From what I have read, the nesting season for the falcons is over by the end of July. Believe you should be fine in the winter. "The Precipice" is one of the hikes I had in mind. It's always closed when we are there in mid-summer.
One of the parks that I really want to see. Great Part 1 Randy! Noticed you took down the other clip again? ...Anyways, glad you 2 had such a nice time. It seems Acadia is incredibly crowded. Loved the night before/ travel adventure stuff added in as well. What a experience. Looking forward to more!

I am amazed as a pro photographer how similar Acadia looks when compared to the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Very similar look to the landscapes.
What a great video! The video is so well edited and you have a narrators voice! 👍🏼We’ve been to Acacia a few times and our last one was actually this week. I don’t think I could ever do a hike like that bec I’m afraid of heights. Is the bee hive a different trail than the precipice?
Really blessed by your encouraging words, thank you! Yes, the Beehive is a different hike. The Precipice was closed due to besting birds when we were there. I believe I heard that hike is much longer. Acadia is among the best National Parks! Hope you enjoy it for many more years to come!
Americas Parks 👍🏼 i meant every word. Very nice video!!!! Thank you for the response. I was curious to know if those were two different trails not that I have intentions to hike either one 😆. I love hiking and have hiked many trails but heights is my weakness when it comes to hiking....terrifying
You were there the day after I left! I drove down the coast of Maine that day - you had much better weather than I did in Acadia, it drizzled most of both days I was there!
Sorry to hear about your weather, Charlotte, but so cool to hear you were there about the same time as us. You have to agree, Acadia is one of the best places to visit! btw- not sure if you watched our "part 2" but the rain heavily caught up with us the following day. lol!
A 10 hour drive in and then a Q of cars to get in the park sounds my idea of hell. 'Stupid can get you hurt' sounds about right to me but if you take your time and act sensibly, you 'should' never get hurt. That looked a great climb up to me and in great conditions but man, 2K people up there, not cool, no wonder you were sweating lol. Now that swim would have cooled you right down and what a great way to chill out. Never tried lobster before but I would defiantly be up for an ice cream. Nice way to finish at the lighthouse and a very full day one, cheers Alan
Great hike, I've never heard of this one!! With all the obstacles getting there it was worth it and the weather was beautiful!! Oh no you didnt!! Lol!!😆😅🤣🏊♂️
Hello America's Park's! Randy, I got you beat for mileage to Acada, I'm in RI and your in NJ so I'm closer😄😄😄! I absolutely love Acadia and I especially love hiking the Behive and the Bubbles, so much fun. I have been traveling to Acadia every year for well over 30 years and my 21 year old son, who is autistic, has been traveling with me to Acadia for several years and he loves the hikes! We have seen many sunrises and sunsets from the top of Cadillac Mountain and it absolutely breathtaking and it never gets old. Your daughter is right, you don't do Maine without having lobster! I really love Thunder Hole during high tide with that water slamming against the rock. You know, the 1st time I ever went to Sand Beach I dove into that cold water, and my friends thought I was nuts😄! Randy, there is another section of Acadia about 1.5 hours from Bar Harbor called Schoodic Point and it's truly the quiet part of Acadia with far less people and the Point is beautiful! You should check it out if you haven't seen yet. Great video Randy! Oh yeah...Welcome, to Rainbow Bridge, National Monument😊!
Great stuff, Al! Made a note of your suggestion as I'd love to get back up to Acadia! Just got back from the Utah trip last night. And for Rainbow Bridge... Would you believe they cancelled our trip 2 days before the reserved departure due to COVID... :( Hopefully, we'll get another shot.

Been going to Acadia and Bar Harbor since the late seventies. Last summer we went further up the coast. Quiet and peaceful. Spent one day in Acadia.Last time we will go into Acadia. It's being loved to death. The crowds were terrible. The traffic was awful. It's a shame. It's an absolutely beautiful place. We were married on a converted lobster boat in Frenchman's Bay in 2001 and camped in one of the private campgrounds. Go in April or early May.
Hey Laura, thanks for the great comment! Like you, we too have great memories at that Park. We did our Honeymoon there back in 1996. Married on a Lobster Boat - how cool is that! IMHO, Many of these Parks are going to have to move to a lottery system (like a few already have) to limit the crowds and protect the grounds. Hope to get some Northern Maine videos up soon as we traveled a little up the coast as well.

Thanks, Meggan, totally agree! If you have a chance, take a look at our second day video - did some of the stuff you recommended. And the carriage trails - missed that one, but I've heard that they alone are reason to visit Acadia. Great suggestions for the viewers - really appreciate it!
Meggan Batten popovers at the common good are far superior
i live in Bar Harbor and i make sure to get my family out of the house and into the park so they can truly see how beautiful it is.

Amen, brother! Thanks for taking the time to pass along the kind words. Acadia is great - hope you have a super trip!
I love your channel man! Having a daughter myself, we sincerely enjoy watching you guys!
That was wonderful to hear, Scott! Thank you and have a blessed summer!

Added to the list of places I want to take my daughter too! You guys are great! Love these videos!
Hey Michael, thanks so much for that inspiring and encouraging comment! I have three daughters and began taking them on National park trips back in 2009. One of the best things for our relationship. So many incredible memories! Keep being a great dad!
I’m going to Acadia next year and I’m already excited you make it look so much fun
Sweet! Love that place so much. Trust you will as well! Appreciate the kind words!
I went to Acadia this July 4th week. It was great! My favorite activity was keeping dry, LOL!
Never saw so much rain…
Oh no... sorry to hear you didn't have the best weather. Glad to know you still made the best of it and enjoyed yourself! Great job!
Stunningly beautiful summertime where the living is easy. The Lobster is good too if there are any left.
That was very well said! We experienced the fullness of that for 5 days when we were visiting up in Maine. Have a super weekend!
Well done compadre and daughter. Enjoyed every minute. 👍✌🏼🌲🌲
Thanks so much, Jeffery. Appreciate the kind words. Have a great week!
Just got back. Awesome hikes and scenery especially in the fall. The popover sundaes at Jordan pond house were amazing! thanks guys for your videos.
Hey George, appreciate the kind words! So neat to hear about your experience in Acadia. Similar activities, but unique and personal memories! Sounds like you caught some nice fall colors - bucket list! lol!
me and my girlfriend/ soon to be wife are planning a trip up here. Love your videos man. i hope to be as cool of a dad as you one day i mean it!

So wonderful to hear! Really can't go wrong with any hike in Acadia. Have a great day!
I got to say family vlog are the best.

Right on! Always thankful others enjoy them, but I primarily make them for family memories that we'll cherish well into the future. Have a great week!
Perfect timing! This past week, been researching Maine as we are planning to go next year. It looks awesome! Thanks for taking me along!
That's wonderful to hear! Hope to get part 2 out next week followed by three more stops we made at other national sites. You'll love it there - especially Acadia - so beautiful and so much to do!
Such an awesome video!!! Currently watching while I'm planning my boyfriend and I's trip in two weeks! Thanks for sharing :)
Kudos that you went for a swim at Sand Beach. Sure it felt good after the sweaty hike up the Beehive.
Thanks, Mary! Nice to create these memorable experiences!
THANK YOU for the visit to Bass Harbor Light! . . . Mike
Kind words, my friend!
We really enjoy all your videos, this one got us really excited because Acadia is out next adventure. Thank you for inspiring us to travel and explore!!
What a blessing to read your beautiful remarks! Thank you very much! Hope you have have a fabulous trip to Acadia. We honeymooned there in 1996 and I haven't been able to stay away! So many great activities to do!
Great video! We are using it as part of our planning for our visit to Acadia in June!
That's wonderful to hear! IMHO, one of the best places east of the Mis. I'll try to give you a call tomorrow or Monday night. Take care!

Very nicely done! Acadia sure does demand a visit.
Right on, Suman! One of my favorite National Parks east of the Mississippi! Thanks for joining us!
I figured you'd jump in at Sandy Beach!!! Warrior! We will be heading to Maine in a few weeks, stoked!
haha! You know me too well! Enjoy your trip, my friend!
Thanks for sharing. I'll be traveling there in 2 weeks with 2 kids. Beehive looks like a must
My pleasure, Dave! You chose a great place to visit! The Beehive was indeed one of our highlights. I plan to get "day 2" up on Friday. Have a great trip!
I enjoyed in every moment of the video.
That is very, very kind of you, thank you!
As always, your video is superb! Now on to video #2!
Really encouraged to hear that! Love Acadia and feel it's easily our best NP east of the Mississippi. Hope you have a great trip out there with your son... you won't regret it!
How did you get this job?! You are definitely blessed, not only because of WHAT you do and WHERE you get to go but also because of WHO you take along with you. You post such great videos. Thank you for always taking us along with you!
Really appreciate the kind words of encouragement and reminder of these blessed opportunities to be with family and see some of the best of creation. Thank you very much!
Maine has such a variety of place to explore, I just subscribed!
Welcome! So true, Brian! Always say Acadia in particular has enough diversity to keep you busy with new activities for many days.
wow.. the hike is steep.. but the view from above is worth it .. wow the tract.. so interesting but must be super careful
I really enjoyed that hike and view!
have camped @ Acadia several times. like another world. great video guys. we used to walk out from Bar harbor to Bar island @ low tide, many star fish. hey folks pumping air mattresses after dark, outside of campgrounds. you are welcome @ my campfire anytime.
Hey Alan, so nice to read comments like yours! Acadia is among the best - would be honored to visit your campfire one of these days! I'm sure we could exchange some good Acadia stories!
Such a wonderful hike and climbing the Rock 💖 Beautiful views and Beach !!! YUMMY Lobster :)
Thank you, Yvonne! Lobster is the best and the rocks were a blast to climb! Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks, Josh! We really enjoyed Maine. Even headed up north and spent a few hours in your native land - Campobello Island. Such a beautiful area!
i went to acadia this summer! i’ve been going every summer since i was really little, and it was cool because i recognized and have done most of the things u did!
That's so great to hear, Sarah! You and your family have good taste. Acadia is among the BEST National Parks, IMHO!
Hope to get back tackle that one like you did! Thanks for encouragement and confidence I could make it to the top! lol!
I'm heading there in a few days! Great video! I'll try the Beehive hike!
So wonderful to hear! You'll have a great time. And yes, "The Beehive" is highly recommended. Enjoy and be safe!

Really cool! A bit of a hike, but so worth it!

Hey, thanks for the kind words! Yes... Central Jersey Shore! All the best to you!
Great video! Can’t wait to hike this park.
Thanks so much, Maurice! Since there is so much to do in Acadia (and the surrounding regions) too many people miss out on the incredible hikes the Park has to offer. Some of the best trails are closed when the birds nest, so be sure to check in advance before scheduling a trip! Peace...
I was thinking about going in the winter. Same advice apply?
@@MauriceHogan From what I have read, the nesting season for the falcons is over by the end of July. Believe you should be fine in the winter. "The Precipice" is one of the hikes I had in mind. It's always closed when we are there in mid-summer.
One of the parks that I really want to see. Great Part 1 Randy! Noticed you took down the other clip again? ...Anyways, glad you 2 had such a nice time. It seems Acadia is incredibly crowded. Loved the night before/ travel adventure stuff added in as well. What a experience. Looking forward to more!
Thanks, Robert! Hope you can get out there. Acadia is one of my favorite NP's! That was a long drive to get there, but as you know, within a few hours of enjoying the Park it's all worth it.

@@andrewstorm8240 It was "Bar Harbor Lobster Company." Good food/friendly help. In the past, we have really enjoyed Thurston's www.thurstonforlobster.com
I am amazed as a pro photographer how similar Acadia looks when compared to the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Very similar look to the landscapes.
Good point and having been to both, totally agree. Really looking forward to a trip up there next summer. Thanks for watching and sharing the comment!

Thanks so much! Hope you're having a great day!

Sure was! Thanks for watching - and dreaming one day about getting up to Alaska! :)
