The "normal-size" version of this map has a TON of terrain management code for creating a gradual transition from grass to beach, then from water to deep water, and mixing the various terrain values together along the way. Not as much room on this map, but I tried to replicate that as best as I could squeeze in. The small bits of shallows with Relics are really cute.
What about a tiny four seasons ? 4 tiny maps separated by trees. It would be a nightmare to coordinate vill rushs in 4 separate maps at the same time... and you have to balance between the 4 maps to prep for opening of trees in Imp. Bonus : destroying one ennemy TC gives you an onager, so that you can start cutting trees, even before imp
of course you should continue to do the small maps, you gotta do the small maps so hard that it gets ingrained into the game so hard that the devs have to officially add it
might be a weird take, but I hate how the video thumbnail spoiled me where the blue castle is going to be built, and the fact that it actually will get built successfully, these tiny details are quite massive in such a tiny setting ;)

Tiny map tournament! Each round is best of five on a single map next round new map and you can pick the favourite or commie votes for map picks! The final can be a best of seven and you play all the previous maps!
I didn't like the small map games up until this series because they were all just towers vs towers, so it was great to see prisma figure out such a hard counterplay to them. you could tell it took biry a couple games to catch up and try something different but really great mind plays from prisma in every game.
@@thomasfplm Just imagine the amount of trapping they'd do with villagers, the amount of trolling that'd happen between those two xD It'd be absolutely hilarious
I love the tiny maps. I’ve watched all of them. I do think the tower nerf is good but maybe 1 tiles too strong. Perhaps give another range on castle and imp sort of thing.
I think they both made a mistake by building docks & ships in feudal age. A full monk civ would be great on this, just boom, get to castle age, get 10-15 monks on your shore and it's a stalemate. Or go fast imp and trebs & monks as a composition 😂
small maps are absolute fire. keep it up! every map small map! nerfing ranged buildings etc is 100% the correct play. maybe even nerfing ranged units like mango, monk, archer?
I wonder if building range should be rebalanced to 2/3 from half. It feels too nerfed from before. Or maybe a small nerf to ranged units? It'd be fun to see infantry being a little more viable.
It's so unfortunate that AOE II map scripters have never bothered to play with the amount of wood each tree has. This can seriously solve the boring boomy meta we have on almost all open maps. Increasing the amount by 50-100% will prevent the desperate TC spam on nano-woodlines while also keep the map deserted. (Which devs seem to love, the misconception of openness= aggression, they don't seem to know better)
I think what we're learned from this round is that on tiny maps with water, nerfing castle/tower range leads to very one side matches. To have a comeback mechanic on water maps you need strong castles/towers.
you know what would be crazy games? 10x mod on the worlds smallest maps they would be fast but crazy do a bunch and metas will form people will figure it out
That sounds cool at first, but keep in mind what little semblance of balance 10x games have comes from them being 4v4. Playing that 1v1 would likely lead to most matches being massive civ wins. Could be worth trying with mirrored civs though.

The map scripting you do for these maps (and in general) is crazy impressive. Looks amazing!
You're the only one who can pull it off. It's an amazing map generation and you can be damn proud of what you made!
Have we done tiny Pants?
@@shadrobinson5754 Yes we have. Was a really short game though, maybe we should try it again.

That deer-monk interaction tho
Deers are the new rage these days
@@SIGNOR-G That is true
Biry should've gotten fletching and bodkin for his castle.
This was one of my favorite small maps, so many unique micro interactions.

Why's that weird? Legitimate opinion
"You convert my boat! I convert it back!"
How can people EnJoY playing Squish Mapp, like that?!
I enjoy to watch I doubt I would enjoy playing 11
With that title I had to double check I was still on youtube
What
I believe this should technically be considered funny so i liked it.
Gotta make sure you didn’t accidentally land yourself on “the hub” 😂
Can confirm: still like the small maps
biry not even getting fletching and bodkin for his castle was a throw
Bruh, spoiler

Biry should have kept that monk alive in feudal, it was what made his galley play so powerful.
ya I guess he wasn't expecting demos, that first wave of them completely swung the game to prisma

Monks are such great scouts.
The AOE2 series has been so much fun to watch, T90 please keep these happening, Also shouts to Biry and Prisma they were great
I think Biry could have still won this game if he had rushed imp and created trebs. Prisma had no wood left and those docks were juicy targets.
Absolutely loving this series. I don't miss a single one.
Biry needed to make a siege tower to give arrow cover for his monks.
good idea but siege towers only block building arrows not unit/ship arrows
Finally a cool game. When you can't rush it's way more interesting.
tiny games are amazing keep'em coming
Keep the small maps coming T90, they are awesome

Looking at the title screen before opening the video. So beautiful small map. Like two small civs trying to flourish
we need Hera vs Viper on those maps xD
😂🤣😂🤣😂

It's always fun when a small map goes past 20min and into castle/imp.
Intro is what you hear if you walk in on T90 while he's on the toilet doing a number 2:
It's so amazing that language is so well written.
Love small maps! Keep them coming!
omg this one was so fun & different
I love this series, hope it never ends!
The front deer had the true smallest passage
When smallest Ring Nothing?
That was great. Keep going with the series.
I want a T90-Viper fight in a small map.
The Large Buildings comment had me laughing
I love the tiny maps. I’ve watched all of them. I do think the tower nerf is good but maybe 1 tiles too strong. Perhaps give another range on castle and imp sort of thing.
Hodor = hold the relic! 😂
Biry had so much gold and food. He should've gone knights and transported them over
I wish there was a "Medium" map, something slightly larger than this format.

So wished Biry used the converted transport to cross a monk over and start converting vills in the backline
Petition to do: the smallest neutral islands. That way T90 finally knows where to put his archery ranges.
More small maps, they are awesome! This and exploding kings.
I can't wait for 4 player ffa tiny map!
love the tiny maps, I dont have the time to watch games that are much longer
the deer (@ 2x speed) remind me of possessions from Legion
That's how Boat Mormonism got started.
TRANSPORT RAMS!!!
Passage is awesome as a super tiny map
Byzantines would have a higher hp dock + better fireships + 100% faster healing monk which you get in dark age
how can i download this map?
Monks are E=MC2troopers on these maps
I wonder if building range should be rebalanced to 2/3 from half. It feels too nerfed from before. Or maybe a small nerf to ranged units? It'd be fun to see infantry being a little more viable.
Mooooore tiiiny maps!!!!
Any chance of seeing more diplo games? I really love those. Thanks!

I wonder if a Malay Harbour would have it's range nerfed
Playing in the smallest passage? That is low hanging double entendre fruit.
Could this map sound more euphemistic?
Biry kinda threw. Could have docked right in front of castle. Instead wasted gold on monks.
DONT DEMO THE DOCKS!!!!!! -MBL
What happens if you convert a transport ship containing a monk holding a relic?
1:35
i hope you realize those are both MALE deer
I really hope the ultrasmall maps become a normal thing, they are so much more entertaining. :)
Big fan great game $. WISH YOU DIDNT TAKE SO LONG TO RELEAS THEM. Pls Stop hoarding them ;)
Sucks not to be able to see all 10 games. Sucks to have to wait 2 days for a short game. You follow?
Smallest 'castle blood auto' ever for next time?
I want buildable bridges... 25w/25s per tile or sum
If demo gets destroyed by Heresy, does it deal damage?
Deer dance party
when are the devs going to add a bridge building
if they both went imp and got trebs there is a chance the game is a stale mate as neither player can make docks to cross.
Still like small maps
Smol map = comfy map. Plz moar
wouldnt be mangonels good on this map?
LEL SMALLEST MAP PLEASE
Post #51 asking for a youpudding white phosphoru duel on tiniest maps
