Well they say a swallow comes back to the same home at the same time every year so it great to see the swallow has return( to the water!) have a great peaceful season Mike thanks as always Malc 🇬🇧
Hi Malc, thanks for the well wishes. Can’t wait to get going now, even if it’s just to see if Swallow is going to sail any differently than previously. Regards mike
Paul's a great guy....really looks after you......loved it layed up in that yard...views amazing down the straits during the winter .enjoyed it in there for sure...
What a coincidence! Just today I pulled the tarp away from my boat. The sea here has just become free of ice, and it's time to start the sailing season! Happy times!
Oh I hope you find her in good condition below the tarp. Still would need to warm up for me if the ice was still about. We’ve had cold and wet rather than icy. Have a good season mike
That was far too short! I've been saving it all day, just got a can to settle down and watch it, and it's over! 😮😂😂 Hopefully meet you one day, have a great season.
So pleased that you managed to get a wet bottom for Easter. 👏I'm really looking forward to this year's adventures 🐬and your very educational video content 👨🎓, as I'm sure many others are. Happy sailing ⛵my mate 🌍👍.
Good to see Swallow back in the water Mike, looking forward to seeing what videos you put out this season. We launched last week and did a bit of a shakedown over the Easter weekend. discovered a few things about the boat we didn't know (only second time in the runny stuff for her) and got the rags out for a bit of horizontal flying up the river. Hoping for a trouble free season, lots of learning and maybe even a bit of fun.. Hope you do too.
Don’t think I’ve really had my shakedown yet, just moved the boat twice. Need some better weather to get a decent shakedown. Hope your season teaches and for fills your ambitions. Regards mike
Thanks for sharing, I hope the engine started and there where no leaks :) My boat is going to get dipped in the water in 3 days, I cant wait to start the season.
Nope I was very lucky. Battery a bit low but she fired up 3rd time and water has stayed on the correct side of the hull. Hope all goes well for your launch and season, mike
Let’s be honest here, nobody and I mean nobody watches this channel cos of the looks of the host but they do love Swallow. Looking forward to making some content this year. You never know may see you out there. All the best mike
Welcome back to the water. I can look forward to your videos again 😊 . Just putting the finishing touches on Wave Dancer. Finished reconnecting engine to python drive (had to change stern gland) yesterday as John on holiday this week. Just need FULL engine service and finish up the pipe work for the new eberspracher installed last weekend. We were hoping to get out of the marina this weekend but weather is not looking great 😢😢
I found a detached finger in my water pump from my impeller, glad I serviced it because it surely would of blocked the coolant system given the chance. Impeller was three seasons old 😳. Weather does look like it’s crapping out this weekend your right. Maybe prudent to put it off a bit. Looked at the forecast myself and thought poo 💩
new season yay , wondering what direction you will heading this year , was trying to see on video what you did to fix bow thruster have you done away with it and blanked off the hull cut outs
Do you have a separate throttle control in the cockpit for when you are using the tiller?Just wondering as it would make single handed docking difficult if you had to run to the steering wheel. Love the videos so many thanks for uploading them.
Hi Jacqueline, yes both helms inside and out are independent of each other. You only need to be inside to start/stop the motor. I even have a Raymarine remote so I can steer from the bow 🤣 I know, sad but true. In my defence all the gizmos came with the boat. TBH I prefer bare bones sailing. Cheers mike

Totally agree with you, it’s one of the better places for sure 👌
She's looking lovely, ready for the sea!! Amazing how easily that remote control car picked her up and got her back in!!!
All my hard work paid off 👌. The right tool makes light work of it for sure ✔️
Looking sharp Mike.Fair winds for 2024
