Looks very good. Hint: when cutting the onions put a wet paper towel next to the onions while cutting. I saw this trick on Pinterest and “no more tears”.

I actually use sweet onions and they don’t make my eyes burn. Our Instacart person a few weeks ago got yellow onions and omg I was burning. So the sweet onion definitely have something different that doesn’t make me cry at least
The best broccoli recipes are broccoli tossed with avocado oil and sprinkled with pepper and squeeze a quarter lemon. The other is toss with avocado oil and a little toasted sesame oil, sprinkle with pepper. Roast in the oven.

i’m only 5 weeks post op vsg, i don’t think i’m allowed to use seasoning yet but your food looks amazing’ i’ll use some of these recipes once i’m on normal foods diet

The salmon salad should be fine for soft foods ! Just don’t add the jalapeño since you don’t know how your stomach handles spicy food 💕
Omg bell peppers are so good ! Roasted is best but with potato how you did they are so flavorful! 😂 our taste buds are wild how they differ
The red and yellow ones don’t really add much flavor, but are a little sweet. I think the green ones add a nice enhancement to the flavor of meals.
They all taste like air to me lol 😂
I season my peppers or marinate them in a vinaigrette or sauce. To give them flavor with my meal
I literally just add them to make the food look colorful lol I don’t even bother trying to make them bring any flavor 😂

Tip 4 onion eyes put ur head in the freezer, it works in the fridge too but the freezer is like instant

Try putting a small amount of lemon juice on your cutting board before cutting your onions.

After 8 months vsg do you have the feeling you can eat more now?
Definitely ! Still nothing close to what I ate before but for reference if I wanted to I could eat and entire slice of pizza now vs when I was like 5 months out I could barely eat half .

Do you know how many calories you're averaging?
I don’t count calories , for me it feels like falling back into toxic habits . I know I don’t eat enough of anything to gain weight . So I just focus on sticking to my portion sizes and keeping most ( not all ) meals pretty healthy.

It came like that . I personally would have preferred it was thicker but that’s how it came out the package
It probably was chicken cutlets then. I just bought some this week (I start my 2 week pre op TODAYYYY).
Bell peppers def have a taste, esp when you don't like them 😣
Also def want to try that salmon salad recipe. If my sleeve rejects salmon post op I will be devastated 😅
