Note on the lack of PB washers. Stainless washers take a tighter tune and we have noticed that swapping pb into them can cause bind. Between the stainless washers lasting essentially forever and the potential for pb to bind on a stainless tune we no longer include them. Also the machining, ano, laser work, assembly, and sharpening were all done by our machinist, head of assembly, and engineer :)
Can’t wait for mine to come this week! Just picked up a laser polished Cotten candy SlifT v2! There’s not enough love for this knife! It’s hard to find any info on this knife thanks for making the videos!
As someone that has owned a Prysma, Serif, Opus and now a Slift... idk why but the Slift just feels soooooo good. Everything he makes is awesome, but the ring, handle design, etc... perfection.
My laser polished cotton candy slift v2 just shipped and is on the way! I was wondering when it comes to oil should I buy the NRB thick that machine wise uses? Or would it be okay if I use the two bottles of KPL I own? I hear mixing oils can cause a black gunk to form? Should I let the oil dry out after a couple days of flipping and then apply KPL?
Ima say this, while I heard it flips way better than the v1 and it sounds like a dream, I don’t really enjoy the look, mainly for the fact that the v1 actually took some inspiration from the fifT. This V2 didn’t, by getting rid of the iconic horizontal lines and replacing it with another screw in weight system (I don’t mind screw in weight systems I’m just talking about it as an asthmatic choice) making it have no reason to even have the name SlifT. The three lines down the handle don’t count because most of Machinwise’s products have that. So overall I think the design seems kinda boring and uninspired. This may sound like I’m hating on it but I’m not, but I have heard from several people that simply due to the way that it looks doesn’t excite them enough to buy it despite of the other great qualities of it. But the anos are as good as ever, very nice.
Id love another more in depth video on the slifT! Just bc you like it doesnt mean we dont wanna hear about it. Come on it with it bro im glad you got something you like so much!
@@rogerloess2379 I picked up one of the Purple Blue fades. Hopefully you can snag an anno you like soon! It is 1000% worth it. After this purchase I'm definitely looking to have more machinewise products. The feel of the SlifT is perfect for my preferences.
Hi thank you for being such a good creator you are the on who got me to get my first trainer! I got a squidy and what’s your opinion on it for a beginniner?
Hey I am really interested in Balisongs. I was wondering if there were any you would recommend to a beginner like a trainer or maybe a certain model that inexpensive. Thanks in advance.
a big thing that's convincing me to buy one of machinewise's knives is the platform element - as much of a baby move as it is my dream is to buy a serif/opus and then immediately swap a prysma blade on that thing.
I traded my Empusa at blade show for a slift…was my favorite out of the blade show haul which included matte Nami, which is already off to a new home now and my Orion which is my favorite beater.
If you were only allowed to use 1 balisong trainer for the rest of your life, which one would you choose. Only looking at how fun it is to flip and if it is good quality.(price doesn't matter)
I don't think I've ever flipped a trainer that I've loved so much that I would be willing to flip only that for the rest of my life, the variety is the fun of it

Ah okay that makes sense! I also still need to get used to the fact that you guys aren't just a 1 or 2 person show anymore.
@@BladeBias honestly so do I 😅
Stop paying balisocks ill do it for 31k

I didn't know he had a channel. I'll have to check it out. Hopefully, other makers have channels with podcasts or just talking about balisongs.

Machinewise actually is a part of a podcast called Carbide Content featuring him and other makers like Grant from Fellowship
@BladeBias Oh, that's neat, I have to check it out. Thank you for letting me know.
how did u get that ano done on only the inside of the handles? it’s not even an option on their site
where can i purchase that tool bro?
I'm feeling the "frantically refreshing the usps tracking" stage as my SliftT v2 is now out for delivery. Soon.. Cheers! 👍
Did you steal the two tone anno out from underneath me?

How on cue was that cut! WOWZERS It Needs A Pay Raise FS!
Dude that thing looks gorgeous dude
That looks so good
What do u think of the serif?
I think it's a better overall flipper than the Slift, but it's outside of my price range
@@BladeBias have u considered the trainer serif (prisma serif)
Side note….I took the tip of the slifT to the heel a few weeks ago!!!! BLED LIKE CRAZY😂
