Palpatine Approved.
Stay Bombastic.
The 3 best scenes in this mini series:
1. Fordo’s badass moment on coruscant
2. Mace windu punching droids
3. Arc troopers VS grievous
correction : all of them are the best scenes in the mini series
U forgot a scene in the clone wars movie where a clone trooper pinches a super battle droid. That clone must have played republic commando.
Frodo’s coruscant assault on the droids is in another class above in my opinion how many clones ever see hold off that many droids with riffle and pistol like he did
I like Anikan's nighting ceremony.
Mace Windu punching droids makes no sense why couldn’t he do that in episode 2? Tcw 2008-2020 show is way better and much more realistic than this 2003 fan fiction garbage
My favorite scene was the end of Anakin and Obi-Wan’s duel on Mustafar. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was the last of the Lucas movies that I watched and now that I had a full understanding of what happened it just was an amazing scene. This scene is actually the closes I have come to crying in a movie. Maybe I am sharing to much now, but who cares, I love that scene.
true. the sadness in obi-wan, anikin full of anger and rage with no mercy for obiwan with his objective being to kill him. We knowing the history(if you watched clone wars) that anikin is under conrole of palpatine that he was a good jedi. And the music. It is beautifule.
Everything you love about this animation is the EXACT thing I loved about watching
"Samurai Jack" - each episode, nearly blabber proof! Some effects, some sounds, and ever the smallest dialog. ALL SO ENTERTAINING WITHOUT SAYING A WORD!
True that. My friends and I absolutely LOVE watching this part. Mace Windu being what we thought he should be.
Funfact: the "superweapon" is actually a mining ship
I knew that
Clone wars 2003 is a underrated gem. Force inpowered melee combat is insane. Wish more was done with it.
now imagine this: lucas, spielburg, and michael bay to make one movie......
That would be a lot of slow motion and 1138s.
Is so close to be perfect and Just miss one and that IS David Filoni
@@matteggsbenedictgamer5310 i can agree
That’d be cool
Spielberg made Animaniacs, A masterpiece
This and the grievous introduction were my favorite parts of this series
I've watched the 2003 clone wars about 5-6 times and still can't get enough of it.
Same
Anakin vs Ventress on Yavin. The entire fight is perfect, the red lighting from the planet as he lifts and wields her saber is superb.
Bombastic: Uploads. His fans: I am speed. Oh wow thanks for all the likes!
Facts tho
Yes
Like that Cars reference
Lol yea
Nice comment
Edit: omg thanks for the likes this is the most likes I’ve ever gotten omg please have a nice day omg omg! Wow! This comment blew up! Thanks for the likes!!!
This also shows that even though the jedi has all these unique abilities, underneath it all they're all normal people
rip the clones who shot the tank
Not gonna call it my favorite but a scene that I've always loved the scene of Jango in Slave 1 and Obi-Wan in his aethersprite fighting in the asteroid field, the CGI and sound design is unreal.
What this is outrageous it’s unfair how can you be the best character in Star Wars and not be in the best moment of Star Wars
Who’s gonna break the news to Jar Jar that no one likes him?
@@Elysium301, I like Jar Jar.
@@Elysium301 YOU BETTER LIKE ME CHILD. OR I’LL FIND YOU AND BRING MY RED LIGHTSABER
Omg I honestly don't know what my favourite ever SW scene is. To name a few;
- Battle of Hoth
- The Sarlacc pit (As it really highlights Luke & Leia as our destined heros)
- Vader's redemption in ROTJ
- Order 66
- Rex fighting his urge not to execute order 66 in TCW
Great analysis of this segment. This was my Clone Wars growing up, but blast it, I like both iterations. Both are great shows with talented people behind them.
One of my MOST DEFINITE favorites in The Clone Wars micro series!!!
Ahsoka leaving the order and her last words to Anakin before walking down the steps of the temple is in my opinion the best few minutes of Star Wars.
Mace: uses the shatter point force ability
Every droid in his way: *chuckles* I’m in danger
Lol I remember watching this when I was like 5
Man... I really hope to be a great jedi like Master Windu some day...
OG Clone wars and The clone wars are the best
Mace wiping out an army on his own is acceptable. Rey does Not and she's a mary sue. I love this fandom so much.
Brilliant, Just brilliant. :D
I don’t like Mace Windu destroying whole army or the sequels, I’m happy this Clone Wars show isn’t Canon and I want the sequels to be decanonized so I’m consistent unlike the people you’re talking about.
@@smugplush *laughs in luke from legends*
Jesus christ...y'all still giving the sequels shit in a video that has nothing to do with em?. If anything this fandom is one of the most toxic. Even when the prequels came out they got the same shit as the sequels. This fandom is fucking terrible most of the time
The Star Wars fandom is made entirely out of hypocrisy tbh. Most of the fans are idiots who aren’t self aware. I’m a Star Wars fan btw.
my favorite moment of all time is the 2003 grievous entrance
This was my favorite episode as a young lad aaaannnndddd it still is. I remember sitting at my grandmas kitchen table watching it on a tiny little tv and being blown away.
To everyone that wants to know who was first, click on the filter and then press sort by newest. The first one will appear all the way at the bottom
Yes.
It was pretty great how this Battle was brought back into Canon in the 2008 clone wars series.
It was referenced during the Geonosis Arc. So the battle is canon, the actual fight itself would most likely be toned down and more Realistic.... well realistic by Clone Wars Standards.
I have watched both of the volumes and it’s so action packed👏
I originally watched this in 03. Has been 1 of my favorites ever since
So nice and refreshing to have some passionate, positive Star Wars celebration. Keep up the great work.💪
RIGHT?! No matter any of our opinions, THIS is what I absolutely LOVE to see in the Star Wars discourse!! I wish it was like that across ALL social media!!!
My favorite part was the 5 Jedi vs grievous
Samurai Jack with a Star Wars filter. That is why it is so good.
Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found... I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk; small acts of kindness and love... that keep the darkness at bay
My favorite scene was easily the introduction to the Arc troopers. No needless shouting just hand gestures and epic blaster fight. As a kid this gave me goosebumps.
A cool scene to be sure, but bruh, look at his face xD
Mace Windu's force punching is so, so stupid. I do like other bits of this series though, Fordo is awesome. The best six minutes of Star Wars are probably from the siege of mandalore arc.
The 2003 clone wars just had action no commentary little dialogue and I love it.
I wish more animations were like this now a days ez quick animations but can tell so many stories.
Who knows maybe Star Wars visions is just that.
Back when Windu wasn't portrayed as a jerk
Ehhh debatable. It's argued that he was a jerk since TPM & ATOC, he had some "jerky" moments in there, imo, and in ROTS -- but that movie came out after CW, of course.
@@Vandicoup it's somewhat of a better portrayal of him in this series
Yes this scene, and also the one with yoda yeeting ships with the force
I gotta say that 2003 grievous fighting the Jedi scene gotta be one of the beat
Andrew every 20 seconds: Oh and this one's my favorite
i so agree, i've been loving the vintage set
This series is gold.
These 2h feel like more than the sequels
This rememind me my first watch of this show when i was only 3 or 4... Thanks for bringing back so many memories!
Genndy is my favorite animator of all time.
Nothing beter than grievous entrance in the mini series😍🤩
My favourite bit is the bit where commander fox dual wields machine guns and destroys like 50 super battle droids
Welp you’ve convinced me
My favorite scene is grievous slaughtering a squad of jedi
This micro series was 100% better than the 2008 one and a million times better than the entire sequel trilogy
Imagine if the jedi had the power level that they have in this show.
Man I really apretiate u highlighting SWCW 2003 lately. Really underapretiated show and still the best of star wars on many aspects. It got me back into ur channel again. Maybe do some of the grievous parts next?
Thanks and keep up the good work!
I wish those huge hammer tank things would become canon again!
Grievous is borderline op in that show
I actually have the Mace Windu figure from this show. And I'm so glad I do. It's the best interpretation of Windu.
Do some battlefront gameplay
Lol Windu in this snippet was the equivalent to Anikan in battlefront before he got his first nerf
The anakin vs asajj sequence is superior, but yes the Windu ep is great
im glad this was already my fav scene.
you my friend, are a true intellect
Love ur videos
Completely agree. I have thought this since I saw it back in 2003
My favorite from Clone Wars is the Anakin vs Ventress fight
Watching this as a film nut wanting to go into Screenwriting and Directing - this is truly one of the best 6 minutes ever
What I like about this show is how they depicted the ARC Troopers as the elite. They live up to their Mandalorian origins.
Ig88 killing all stormtroopers with baby yoda
That's not the battle of hypori
The scene when the stormtroopers kill the rebels in a new hope
The best star wars ever....I thought this would be star wars detours
The "Superweapon" looks like it was based of the Planet Devasators in The Dark Empire graphic novels
The ending is enough to make a grown man cry
Wassa my favorite bomb
Though we, sadly, never got to see Anakin become knighted in TCW, we did however see more of his gradual descent to the Dark side all the way 'till we see him in his frickin' VADER suit at the very end!! In addition, we also got plenty of development in Star Wars's newest and biggest character at the time, Ahsoka Tano! There was soo much development for those two, especially for the newer characters like Ahsoka and Rex. Dave has said that he didn't want to touch legacy characters like Anakin and Obi-Wan TOO much since that was George's thing and he didn't want to inadvertently re-contextualize the movies too much, as a result, so he wanted to just keep it in line with all the movies. But I still thought we got plenty more development from both Ani and Obi, especially in episodes like the Mortis trilogy!
And ahh, I love CW too but I also love TCW a FRICK TON as well! They're both incredible and artistically GORGEOUS MASTERPIECES in their own rights! I've always loved the insanely beautiful and detailed matte-painted backgrounds of a lot of TCW's episodes, all the visual effects and even maaany of the show's character models looked so on point. More in line with the movies while still standing out and being their own, stylistic, thing at the same time! And I thought TCW was also pretty maturely-told too. It appealed to a more younger crowd while still treating children as intellectuals. For me, TCW captures the feeling of the war perfectly, to a T, but I love them both to hell and back!! :D
While CW is great at visual storytelling, with amazing music, I disagree on it being better then the later show. Not only was it less over the top and more in line with the films, (I like action as much as the next guy, but it's not everything) it also had more time to go into detail about the state of the galaxy; Ahsoka's development into maturity, Palpatine's growing power & gradual manipulation of the Republic, Jedi Council and Anakin, Anakin's, Obi-Wan's and by extension the Jedi's descent into darkness, weariness with the war, and a greater display of the Clones humanity. Speaking of, I wouldn't call Bombastic's opinion of their portrayal as comical, since they are at the center of the show's heaviest moments. Seeing them as being more then just a precise military machine, and how they were eventually stripped of that, reduced to an uncaring tool by a callous Sith plot was a crucial element of the show after all.
For me, I've always seen the 2003 version as the exaggerated stories told to kids about the war and the Jedi pretty much saying they're gods. It's more like folktales told to kids what the galaxy thought the Jedi were like while TCW showed a more brutal and grounded look at the world, since in reality the Jedi were not as powerful as people thought. Of course this is far from the truth but its an interesting watch when you look at it as exaggerated folktales rather than the canon look of the Clone Wars which The Clone Wars 2008 pulled off great being more grounded and less over the top. Honestly, the only real reasons to watch this series is for a couple character introductions and the one single episode of Mace Windu literally doing things that no Jedi or Sith could do outside of a Superman comic.
What I love and prefer about the main Clone Wars show is that it takes us into the daily lives of the characters I love like Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, with every moment not having to necessarily be a "Star Wars moment", a destiny type of moment. I appreciate the micro series for what it is, but I definitely just appreciate the proper series more. I absolutely love the voice acting of Matt Lanter and Dee Bradley Baker! Either way, animated Star Wars in general isn't too widely received by the audience, even to this day sadly, but regardless, they are BOTH immensely gorgeous works of art and fantastic and underrated gems among the Star Wars franchise! Love 'em both a ton!!
And in addition, 2003 feels like fanfic which it is in a way (made by fans AKA Genndy Tartakovsky being a fan of Star Wars), everyone being overpowered, everyone acting like fighting in a war is no big deal, just action for the sake of it. It doesn't fit into the movies at all because if you're going off that then why doesn't anyone act like this in the movies? I love the show but the show felt like it depicted everyone as super heroes/villains where they can go into massive hordes and take everyone out without a problem, no matter how powerful both sides are they are very vulnerable in their own way. 2008 feels realistic and in-universe because it builds off the movies, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, everyone can't be in massive groups due to resource management, you had moments where someone as powerful as Obi-wan and Anakin can be badly damaged in crashes leaving them vulnerable because the Jedi are not super heroes and can easily get taken down which is why Order 66 makes sense, it ties into the movies which is so perfect.
2008 TCW just simply has waaay more going for it, 7 Seasons with over 13 years of amazing content! I love the 2003 clone wars but I wouldn't say one show is better than the other.
The Clone Wars 2008 is a lot closer to the movies while the 2003 show is just over exaggerated which isn't bad. I personally see it as folklore, the stories of the Jedi and the Clone Wars told to kids who exaggerated the Jedi to be powerful Gods and saw the Clone Wars as nothing more than battles of clones and droids running at each other with zero tactics whatsoever.
My fav starwars scene is.......Rey vs Sidous and also rey vs darth rey
Ah memories.
My favorite Star Wars scene might be in this when grievous hunts the Jedi in the ship wreckage
Luke facing down the first order at the end of TLJ is probably my favorite scene in all of star wars ngl
As much as I love Dave’s TCW, there is no denying that the OG CW is the better crafted product.
Thank you for praising the show without coming off like an asshole or degrading the later series ( cough cough Zodiac ratman).
Oh, and if nylons says I’m just being a spoiled fanboy who’se upset some rando dissed his favorite show and can’t handle criticism. Guilty as charged.
At least I admit it.
* anyone
dude Zodiac ratman is annoying
@@AdonijahFinch THANK YOU!
Geez, he’s ’entitled to his opinion’ and I concede that Filoni deserves a lot of shit-Rebels is crap. However, that’s no reason to throw the rest of the crew, George, and the cast under the bus. I hated how he insulted Matt Lanter, and the marionette inspired art style. Also, he can’t rag on TCW’s “character assasination’ of Anakin when Lucas himself assigned Ahsoka to Anakin to help him mellow out.
AND, he either deliberately or unintentionally misrepresented the intention behind a lot of great TCW scenes. For example, he mocked the scene where Hardeen shoots Obi Wan because Obi wan just conveniently walks into Hardeen’s line of sight-thus the scene fails to convince the viewer that Hardeen killed Obi bc it looked staged. Um. Yeah. They made the scene look stagey and fake ON PURPOSE. Obi wan did that because the Jedi staged his death, and the scene makes that abundantly clear to the audience. The opening narration says the Jedi have hatched a plot to stop Eval-while the camera zooms in on Obi Wan. During the death scene. OBI LOOKS OVER HIS SHOULDER AT RAKO AND THEN TAKES A DEEP BREATH IN AS IF HE’S YA KNOW ANTICIPATING SOMETHING!
Now, you may ask ‘why are you getting so salty? He’s allowed to dislike TCW. Simple. there’s a difference between expressing dislike for a movie and claiming it’s poorly made. And I live by one rule; “ respect good craftsmanship”. Hence why I admit Genndy’s CW is better. Ratman in his video framed TCW as poorly made, which, I’m sorry, is just not true. While TCW has problems, it also shows a serious level of craftsmanship in some areas: the excellent voice acting, gorgeous “living Matte painting” ascetic, Tucker’s kinetic editing, Aron’s STUNNING lighting, Plunkett’s absurdly detailed art etc etc.
Now, obviously, if none of these elements appeal to you, that’s completely fine.
@@JW-xd8up I personally think that if you have something negative to say about something DON'T just say you prefer something else or it's not your kind of show. youtubers who make careers of it really piss me off
This entire show was a masterpiece.
I mean in the books they always refer to mace windu as a blur on the battlefield
Hey Windu is a hydro homie
I loved this battle since I first watched it back when it originally aired on Cartoon Network.
I used to reenact this fight with figures almost 20 years ago at the height of interest for Revenge of the Sith. That era holds a special place in my canon headspace. And THIS boys and girls is why it’s hard for me, despite being a micro-series, despite the Jedi were OP AF, despite being all de canonized, is why I am reluctant with a lot of new canon that changed what I thought of the clone wars- no matter how much technically “better” it is now. Ie: Ahsoka, Savage Oppress, Maul coming back to life🤦🏽♂️ the 2003-2005 era fandom is hard to knock unless you grew up with it.
I agree, this is the best
I am so glad you love this show about as much as me I haven’t seen very much love for it recently I feel like but I just love it so yeah. Keep up the great work man.
The scene where Mace Windoo destroys all of those droids with just the force makes me wonder why he has a lightsaber at all. It seems like using the force was even more effective than his lightsaber.
I have seen crimes being committed such as saying that 9 is better than 3 or belittleing the most legendary character for example Obi-Wan and Ahsoka but this... this is a major crime that I cannot forgive.
For me it's yoda lifting up x wing
Not enough love to CW2003. It's the best Clone Wars and I'll proudly die on that hill.
Totally agree with you!
Love what you love! DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YA OTHERWISE! It's all Star Wars and we are just living in it!
"The jedi are peacekeepers"
Bruh how could you say the anikin and padme scene is good 😭😭😭
It is though. I liked it! It also depends on what scenes you're talking about too. The one when they were frolicking in the Naboo fields was pretty well done I'd say. As well as their final scene on Mustafar.
If this was adapted into a film, I'd watch it
03 Clone Wars was where its at.
my favorite part is battle over coruscant
A scene having little to no dialogue does not automatically make the scene superior in any way. It's all about execution, it needs to be done right, otherwise a mostly quiet scene can turn dull and boring fast. And vice versa with a scene having dialogue and it becoming boring and dull very fast if not done right. Personally, I prefer scenes with dialogue, but the original Clone Wars's use of little dialogue was definitely executed to perfection in it's own right! :)
Good morning gentlemen I am here to view this video.
I Love when Kylo Ren kills snoke
In the cartoons is when grevious came to kill the Jedi
I watched this 6 minutes after it came out
he is pogers
but he also stars wars
