Not that difficult provided you bring a good number of items. Her fire attack feels much quicker than in the Gamecube version so the Superguard timing for it may seem different. That being said I feel like I got lucky due to the sheer amount of stage hazards that kept falling on Hooktail.

Best way to fight the boss, in my opinion. Im like 7 when i played the original, and i have no idea about the cricket/frog riddle...
I just think it makes a crazy first impression for the first boss of the game

I forgot to put the badge on which turned this battle from entertaining to epic. Best part: Used the attack +2 Item, got merle's attack buff, used Power bounce and messed it up.
Stil won though
