  • Hi,
    In this video, I converted my RC car from RF to Bluetooth RC and used my table to control it. It's pretty easy with Bluno Beetle module from DFRobot. It's an Arduino Uno integrated a CC2540 - Bluetooth chipset from TI.

    Can you share a detailed video of the smaller circuit you created? Or can you share a more detailed schematic without the breadboard? Also want to know how many batteries you used for this.

    I did this with an arduino uno, it connects just fine but when I click the buttons on the app nothing happens? I tried with your newer code that has lights and horn and nothing worked at all.

      Try to use Serial Monitor to print out the received data. The issue may come from different delimiter which can be set from the Android app

    • @levistrnad2965
      @levistrnad2965 3 года назад

      @@TheHLab I did try this and its super finnicky, sometimes I get something on the serial monitor and sometimes I don't, but when I do its random lines like ?x? or ????? and just random stuff usually involving question marks. anyways I decided to start simpler and work my way up to this but if you know what's wrong I may give it another try.

      Maybe because of mismatch baud rate between Arduino and Bluetooth

    • @levistrnad2965
      @levistrnad2965 3 года назад

      @@TheHLab perhaps, I'll try it again this weekend and change a few things to see what happens.

    • @levistrnad2965
      @levistrnad2965 3 года назад

      @@TheHLab what should the baud rate be for it? I don't see anything on the app for a setting or any info but maybe I could run a simple code to see what characters I'm receiving but I'm not that advanced which is why I was asking for your help you are very great with this and I love the videos.

    Hi, I tried to replicate your tutorial with the big difference that the rear wheel drive is a dc motor with only two cables coming out of it, how could I make it works?

    • @TheHLab
      @TheHLab  3 года назад +1

      You need an ESC then connect your dc to esc and connect esc to the board

  • @StewartChristie
    @StewartChristie 3 года назад

    are those continious rotation servos driving the wheels?

    • @TheHLab
      @TheHLab  3 года назад

      No. I used a DC motor with gearbox and put it at the center of the car. This is an All Wheels Drive car. The original design is for 1:24 pickup truck and fully 3D printed. Search in my channel in you want to see that pick-up truck

      It's just an Arduino board.
      - Download Arduino IDE
      - Download the code from GitHub in my video description, open *.ino file
      - Go here to know how to add this Boards to Boards Manager wiki.dfrobot.com/Beetle_ESP32_SKU_DFR0575
      - Start uploading the code (from 0:51)
