Hi Eric, I wanted to thank you for the quick email reply. I was the pilot of N3647J - 602P, which yes, I believe it went over seas somewhere of just never re-registered after it was sold again. I remember if I flew by the POH settings, I would see fluctuations in the MP between the engines. I don't remember if that was at higher power setting or not. I would always be a little richer than POH to keep that from happening. I went back in the video and I saw the blurb correction after you said 20 GPH that was '20 GPH per side'! That makes sense. Loved this video and the one with the F-18 jet jockey in his 601P. He reminds me of my son (32 yrs old), who talks sometimes with marbles in his mouth! Not sure if you picked up on that. Not trying to rag on him, but I picked up on that listening to the vid. I thank him for his service keeping us safe! BTW, how I miss the power up sound from the Aerostar engines at take-off!!! David
Awesome video, Eric! What a pretty winter landscape from an Aerostar - can it get any better? - I doubt it can! Thank you for sharing this cockpit beauty with us 🥰
Thanks for sharing. It's great to see you enjoying aviating! (You've nailed the video presentation. Very clear video and audio.) (Super700 S/N 61P-0684)
Eric, I have to say that I enjoy your videos more than any other aviation related videos on RUclips. When I see a new one from you has been posted, I drop what I'm doing to watch it. That being said, I was wondering how I can contact you to get your perspective on being an Aerostar owner. I really like the airplanes, but hear a lot of negative things from people about them. I don't believe all of it, but every airplane has positive and negative things. I've been looking at purchasing a twin, and would like to get your honest opinion on the Aerostar, and the different models of them.
I don't know if you have made a decision, but there are many things that recommend an Aerostar over similarly sized twins - shoot a comment on my channel and I would be happy to discuss.
I really miss our 601P. Thanks for sharing! It brought back a lot of good memories.

Could you please tell us what is the purpose of the small window in the windshield?
That's the hot plate for anti icing.
That is a hot plate which melts off the Ice when flying in icing conditions. It is required equipment for flight into known icing (FIKI)
Eric was that a stall horn blarring after landing? I thought the Aerostar did not have that.
That was the radar altimeter beeping. They do that sometimes. You'll note that Eric changed the RA bug so it would stop.
Larry is right. That is the radar altimeter.
