Hello everyone, my moog subharmonicon stopped working after the update. The oscillators do not respond to parameter changes, the seq oct and quantize buttons also do not work. I updated through the audio interface from native instruments. After contacting moog support, I was given the option of a replacement, but unfortunately this is not possible from my country. Has anyone encountered such a problem?
Sorry to hear that @moonsunmusic, I've heard of some having issues with updating firmware, but I have never had that happen to me personally. There are certain situations where a technician may need to physically reset/flash the firmware, which might be the case in this instance. Did Moog support walk you through the 4 troubleshooting steps in the firmware update guide? And does your computer still recognize the Subharmonicon?
It's easy to update, Moog's instructions are simple to follow whether on Windows or macOS. Definitely worth it for transposing sequences! No longer limited to the "trick" of using SEQ 2 to transpose SEQ 1.
@@0VRLNDRthanks so much... I've reached out to Moog and they have given me some steps to try out... I am Re-calibrating the Subharmonicon now and then I will try the last option they told me about since so far the first few haven't worked... I am thinking if that doesn't work it is possibly i defective midi to USB connection... Wish me luck...
cheers Derek... and thanks for putting this together. Always having this kind of information proves helpful. cheers bud.

This is great... Just wish I could figure out how upgrade the firmware hahaha...
Thanks! Happy to give some advice if you need it; what platform are you using and where have you been feeling stuck?

@@iamYork_ Absolutely. I've also found with one USB to MIDI DIN cable I have, I can't transmit SYSEX reliably.
@@0VRLNDR that seems to be my issue I think... Do you know of any alternatives?
@@iamYork_ I've been using the MIO XC adapter with great success: bit.ly/3Bb6UdC
Wow i saw many people complaining about how turning it off would forget the sequence . So i guess the update fixed that?
Sure did!
