Just amazing that Traxxas doesn't put the metal parts (such as driveshafts) as standard on theirs. Where would it be possible to buy the non-trx version?
Hi, really nice comparison video. I spent much time looking for this infos. Do you know if the HB R1001 runs with Lipo battery? If yes can 2S or 3S? Thank You so much for your video!! Amazing!!
Go Hof! I have the HB R1001 and I wondering to know if I can upgrade the front/rear axles to the TRX4 with unlock diffs (adding the micro servo + Remote and transmitter original from Traxxas)? Do you believe the axles will fit and work (lock/unlock)? Tks, I appreciate your content!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi, I'm not sure as there are some slight differences as shown in the video. I would rather recommend to stick with solid axles as these are more used off road.
Thanks for that review that was the most extensive one I've seen on a side by side comparison of these two cars.
They are very similar. One thing I wonder is the durability. Traxxas is know for it’s very robust plastics. Which give me confidence to beat on mine.
The arms are still standard WLtoys, but the chassis seems like a more flexible plastic. Nothing broken yet, but I expect that the arms will go first

read it somewhere if you want to upgrade the brass on the portal you should bought a whole set axle for trx4 ?
As far as I know, brass weights made for Traxxas do not fit on these axles. They are slightly different.
@hofsplace thanks so must change the whole axle right ?
@@DearDiaryMe yes
Are the stub axles interchangeable ? I own the HB and I want to order the stub axle extension from traxxas. Do you think that they would fit ?
Not directly I think.
There is a slight difference, maybe you have to trim here and there
Wow, what an sxcellet video!! Thanks so much!
