Andrew Scott is a phenomenal talent. I’m loving this series. It’s visually beautiful, has a great sense of humor, and the soundtrack is incredible; I find myself watching the credits because the soundtrack is so good.

Well done, great exposition. I’m so impressed at how deep you are able to get, in such a short amount of time! Love the television show, amazing cinematography!!

This series was exceptional! The cinematography was stunning, and the black-and-white filming only added to its appeal. The ending was satisfying, and the unexpected twist reminded me of "The Usual Suspects" movie. Ripley was a hardworking and skilled character who performed his job excellently. Although his actions were not justifiable, I could understand his motives. Andrew Scott's portrayal was outstanding, and he proved to be a remarkable actor. Lombardi's performance as the inspector was also noteworthy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Your review was great, as always. ❤️

Thank you autumn💕 I never thought of the unusual suspects but you’re right.
I’m glad Andrew Scott is getting more work and attention. The inspector was very strong and I think the black and white helped.
Ripley is one of the most interesting characters because on one part it’s so hard not to be impressed. Nothing he’s doing is justifiable. It’s not even that we are rooting for him it’s that we are rooting against these people who literally deserve nothing of what they have.

Andrew Scott version of Tom Ripley, next to John Malkovich of Ripley's Game has to be the most calculated, cold blooded & ruthless take on the character. Nextflix Ripley was pure psychopath.

Agreed, Andrew Scott was cold as ice and he played it so flawlessly

@@alwayswatching2295 Coke? Don't you mean cold as ice? Matt Damon's Mr. Ripley has long been considered the best in spite of the complaints of how humanised he was. Andrew Scott's one was an in plain sight monster. Freddie Miles was my favourite and his most coldest kill.

Yes it was a typo 😂

@@alwayswatching2295 Humans and paintings cotton on to Tom Ripley's dirty deeds more than humans ever did. I didn't understand why so much attention was drawn to them until now. I don't think Ripley would give a damn about looking over his shoulder because he's used to it since he's already an established conman & psychopath who kills without conscience. Notice how in the Netflix version the level of disrespect Tom displayed towards Dickie in life and in death. And I'm not talking about the fact that Tom slaughtered him without a second thought.

oh my! I haven't seen this but I remember how I feel when watching Psycho or Rope, being always on the side of the bad guys.

You know any story that can get us to root for the bad guy is always fantastic. I still love the Matt Damon version the best but Andrew Scott played ripley very well .
