This bulb will blow out in 5 minutes after this install. The oils from your fingers will cause an uneven thermal heat soak on the surface of the glass which causes the bulb's glass to crack. Use clean rubber gloves when touching the bulb's surface, and I would also use an alcohol pad to clean the bulb along with the gloves just before the actual install.
Mine is wedged in so tight as if nobody was ever going to replace it....the light bulb might not understand english because the "lefty lossy right tighty" foesnt work on mine.
the first one to actually show how to take the bulb off, mine is stuck and i was afraid ill break it, now i know it tends to get stuck. thanks a lot!

Why must Mercedes complicate everything? Air suspension compressor suck, air filter changes are a pain.

I just replaced this bulb on my 2008 GL450, and the yellow and brown insulation is falling apart, exposing bare copper wire.
Gloves!
