Potentiodynamic Polarization Curve Analysis using EC-Lab Software: with system file and excel file

In this tutorial, we have demonstrated how to plot and analyse the Tafel curve using EC-Lab software. Two cases have been discussed: when you have the corrosion data in EC-Lab system file (mpt format), and when you have the corrosion data in an excel file. Calculation of E-corr, I-corr, and corrosion rate has been shown.

Thanks for your good lecture. At the Tafel-Fit process, What is the meaning of "minimize" button? Is it possible just using "minimize" button to find out exact Corrosion Rate value?

During curve fitting, is it necessary to keep remind that the Ecorr of the analysis should be equal to match with the minimum current point. If so, we dont need analyze the plots to collect the Ecorr value. Isn't it? Could you explain in this regard.

I got my testing done in a facility at our institute IIT Kharagpur. The facility is available in institutes like IITs and NITs and some other institutes and labs that work on corrosion.
