I cant express how beautiful and amazing this movie is. It will always touch my heart. The music makes me cry. Literally cry. This is an amazing piece of art. best Movie EVER!!!
1:35 That line of "I'd rather he remember me the way I was," I've often used in some situations. My Grandmother passed away in 2010, and while I could have gone to her funeral, I chose to not do so, but remember her when I saw her on her 90th Birthday, when she had one of her most energetic days during her final year. My Dad told me that after then, he didn't recall her having that much energy. She was surrounded by several generations of her family, and I think she drew strength from all of us that day...and now the Elfman music in this clip is getting to me.
I still remember the first time I saw this movie at a friends house as a kid, it's been my favourite ever since. Edward was so adorable & as a child who was always made to feel different from everyone I was at school with I could really relate to him (to this day the movies bittersweet ending still breaks my heart). Now whenever it snows i can't help but hear the music from the film in my head & picture this hauntingly beautiful scene.
You are absolutely right. I`m a guy and I also love these three films. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder - love stories for all times. " Ice dance" is beautiful music theme.
I wish she had gone back to him, no matter how old she got. To be honest, I think it's kinda selfish that she would rather he remember her the way she was. He must get so lonely up there- youth doesn't matter, he needs company! It's too sad to leave him alone forever :( I would've visited him. Beautiful story, though. ;)
Agreed. However, I often believe that another possible reason why Kim never saw Edward again is because, She was protecting him. Because she told everyone in the neighborhood that Edward was dead, And if anyone in the neighborhood ever saw Kim go back up to the mansion, Then the town would've found out that Edward was still alive and Kim couldn't let that happen.
That old lady makeup looks very impressive for its time, but Winona was about 20, and she always sounded like a kid. lol Still does. I wonder what she'll sound like when she actually reaches her 80s or 90s.
Seeing her in this make-up makes me wonder why they needed to use CGI for Haley Atwell as the elderly Peggy Carter in the Captain America sequel. This film came out in 1990 and the make-up here is outstanding.
I laughed I creid I lost all feeling in every inch of my body after seeing this, and as much as i never want to see it again... Im glad I saw it this one time. It is truly a breakthrough in cinima history.
When i would watch this as a child and even my pre-teen years i never got an emotional kick from the ending when she says goodbye...but now, at the age of 23 and having experienced real love for myself, the utter sadness i feel when i see this ending now truly hits home...not being able to see, touch or connect with the one you love and to go on forever and ever without is heartbreaking.
oh..sad story...now im 22,i just watched this movie maybe when im 5-6..i just remember a scene when he sat on bed, then the bed was leaked..something like that...ahh...i need to watch this great movie again..but, its kinda sad ending :(
She could have visited him... and so she met another man made love to him thinking about edward? ? Had a kid who had a kid which is her granddaughter now. ..she could have went back or figured out a way to get doctors to get him some hands and told her parents to play along that he was dead. It's just sad they were made for each other and ended up not together for eternity. She will die while he lives on. I think he would have still loved her. But if they did.. how would edward get a job to provide for her unless she made a lot of money. It seemed all the woman in the movie stayed home while their men worked. So.. unless they could have gotten him hands and he did get a job they just would have had to move out of that town or state. But to this day it's the saddest scene yet.. saying goodbye is the hardest thing. .
no my friend im an 30 year old man now not a 16 year old boy i would rather her reamber me as i was. i miss you everyday nicole and ill always love you.
I love this movie I wish he had plastic surgery and ended up with Rider would have been awesome but then again this isn't a happy tale it's a sad but good one.
I cant express how beautiful and amazing this movie is. It will always touch my heart. The music makes me cry. Literally cry. This is an amazing piece of art. best Movie EVER!!!
In my opinion, it is. It takes every single thing I love about a movie and puts it into one. It's my favorite.
" you see ... before he came down here .. it never snowed ... & afterwards , it did "

Winona deserved an Oscar for her scenes as the old Kim alone.
I’ll always remember Winona’s last line:
“Sometimes you can still catch me dancing in it.” 💓

"I want him to remember me the way I was"
SHE EASILY COULD HAVE GONE BACK BEFORE SHE BECAME OLD😂😂😂
Living in Gossip Town?
Bad idea
Plot Twist Ha true

maddhatter222 because Hollywood is lazy. CGI is cheaper, and takes less effort than makeup. And it usually shows.
SunBunz probably like this "my names Winona Ryder and I'm 80 or 90". Yea that sounds about right.
Tornado Chaser whose Haley?
Tornado Chaser Oh, I'm sorry, I missed that. This was from months ago, I forgot. lol
I laughed I creid I lost all feeling in every inch of my body after seeing this, and as much as i never want to see it again... Im glad I saw it this one time.

Madison Smith same
I'm not tearing up because of the story im tearing up because the effects and visuals are too beautiful.
I'm going to ruin what is a beautiful scene in one of the most beautiful movies ever....who delivers the ice?
Amazon
Mate I actually work at Amazon and I can say assuredly he'd have a better shot buying a set of hands then a block of ice :p
*****
Premium: you get the ice
Fast delivery: you get water
Regular: you get wet air
Bruh I was just about to ask that XD
Maybe he makes his own ice block?
he's all alone which make sad 😢
This scene is so sad cause the only thing I can think of is that the inventor (Vincent Price) never finished him to become a human.
this movie (esp this scene) brings me to tears everytime. She still remembers him and him to her... that's love.
such a great movie.
Still a better love story than twilight.
Hell this might be a better love story than Titanic.
Edward Scissorhands withstands the test of time for most uniquely redefining the best values of a love story. 💓
i guess she never stop loving him
I cried watching this :/
Is it like the best movie ever or something?!! I still can't get over it

Kiaria Luna If I knew that the snow was coming from him, I would dance until I fell down
Oh my, this is too similar to my life now....I must be Edward Scissorhands!
I wish I could meet Johnny Depp as Edward scissorhands
Maybe he might do conventions? If he does you could meet him as Edward Scissorhands.
PCPopple Really where at?
I'm only saying if he does Conventions you should keep an eye on Comic Cons and Horror Cons just incase. I too would love to meet him!
PCPopple Where at because I live in Pennsylvania
Aside from seeing this on tv would you all see it if it were to be in theaters celebrating it's anniversary?
what a great movie!!!!!!
If any of you guys need me, I'll be crying in the corner
I wonder how Edward got all that ice... oh well, I still love this film.

Esmeralda seems so satisfied

This scene should be in the dictionary next to the word "poignant".
You're right, I shouldn't over-analyze.

Johnny Depp is the best actress in the world and my favorite by far
sierra davis I'll let everyone else decide what's wrong here

Lochlanjw Weatherhead I bet you're fun at parties too
It;s Winona Ryder with make-up I think.

Ed's pretty lucky the town folk never wanted to knock that place down and build something else.
C.M Grogan He prefers Edward
yeah and romeo and juliet..wel, that was a play lol. And also 'The Notebook'.
Alek. the old man built an ice maker. didn't you see it
how good was being a kid
So fucking sad!
This movie is man vs society. I can't handle that stuff. They don't even realize that they made Peg very uncomfortable.
.... man tear....
I love this movie I wish he had plastic surgery and ended up with Rider would have been awesome but then again this isn't a happy tale it's a sad but good one.
QAndJMovies2 No, I like that end. Stop that, we do not need more Hollywood.
Why is everyone saying this movie sucks ass??
THEMEXICANCAKER who said that ?
I pity them

I think that snow is actually his dandruff.
She could of went up there without anyone seeing her.

Truth Seeker that's what I said

Worst movie in history you gotta be kidding
Guess you're the objective fool who disliked the video for some reason.
