- Chipper and Son's Lumber Co. is a game I rarely ever see being discussed online, seemingly because there isn't a whole lot of contents to the game. This video took an extra week to make because I got sick and couldn't record audio for 5 days. Also the title calls it a prequel but it's actually a predecessor.

Looking back at Scott’s past games you can really tell how much he has grown as a person, from a struggling developer trying to make ends meat to one of the most well respected game developers of all time.

Chippers and Sons is an example of why failure doesn't always mean the end to one's career.
Sometimes, you have to fall downwards in order to soar to the skies.
I love this story. His previous game was supposed to be cutesy and such but people put it down, saying the characters looked way too uncanny. And this genius ran with it, making a successful HORROR game next.

Very similar to how Conker's Bad Fur Day was made, now that I think about it.

I feel that Scott’s older games (especially mobile games) are really underrated
The art style of Chipper and Son's Lumber Co. reminds me a lot of those CG renders of _Donkey Kong Country._
I can see why critics called the game "unintentionally horrifying", because that game later becomes a blue print for a game about scary animatronics that redefined the horror genre.
I honestly quite enjoyed the original Chipper And Sons despite the issues you pointed out. For one I actually found the game pretty funny, and the fact that there’s more objectives at once compared to Tyke And Sons made it feel less grindy to me. As for the visuals, aside from Fun Fungle (whose supposed to be creepy) I honestly don’t see what’s so creepy about how the game looks. As for Tyke And Sons, I quite enjoy it for the night segments, but I actually found the lumber co segments a lot more tedious. The fact that you only had Tykes tasks to do over the original games multi be tasks made it feel more grindy then it actually is, and while I get that this change was done for boss fights, I hate that you have to mash the W key to use the watering can.
I will forever love how this entire Franchise From Horror, to RPG, To being release to the PS5 to Getting a Movie, ALL OF THIS! Because some jerk said his old game sucked

But like Disney, Mickey Wasn’t Walt Disney companies first attempt. And lets hope Fnaf won’t go the Walt Disney Company route.

Tyke and Sons took Chippers and made an amazing game
Chipper and son's had potential, it just got undeserved criticism which lead to the creation of fnaf.
If it wasn't for the criticism, then FNAF wouldn't be a thing by now. At least Scott decided to take that criticism at heart and make it into a game that redefined the video game horror genre.
And what proves it is the Tyke and son's fan game that fixes every single issue.
Can we appreciate how much effort T3rr0r puts in to forcing us to watch endless videos for eternity as we slowly decay and suffer

I really hope that someone famous make a video review/playthrough of The Desolate Hope. It's a really excellent and fantastic game that is super underrated and deserve to be a big popularity and loved.

My personal headcanon is that Chipper and Son’s takes places in a world populated by the creatures in those old bowling alley FMVs. The game lives and breathes those kind of vibes and is pretty charming in the right mindset.

As much as i am a fan of FNAF i kind wish there were more video games scott made that had their own universes alongside fnaf i think would've been cool
As someone who has barely looked into this game but has played tyke and sons, it is very impressive how perfectly that game matched this stylr.

Great Video, I really liked some of Scott’s Old games and I think that they are really underrated. Also I watched the Fnaf Movie today and it’s defiantly one of my favourite Video Games Based Movies I’ve ever enjoyed.
