Hi, songs that Pau sings as the lead vocals in this show, Dust to dust, 23, narcisista and breath (which in this show is a recording and is used as an intermission). 🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡
Dany (guitarist) often utilizes octave shift and delay effects programmed on her footboard and sent through the opposite channel to fatten the sound and give the illusion of a second guitar. 👍😎
Check out Survive from this same concert. More vocal trading and the last half of the song is more instrumental but it slams. Also this song was from their first album. Crazy to think they were young teenagers when they put it together.
The interplay between Dany on the first verse (sun is your enemy) and Pau on the second (sun is MY enemy) is the key, and it's delicious. The chorus of "Kill the system, kill the man" isn't The Warning being anti-establishment so much as a reflection of what the divisiveness of social media does to us disciples. The Warning can be profound at times! Enjoyed your reaction!
You got the idea. There is the interplay between Dany and Pau. Dany says “the sun is your enemy today.” Then in the next verse Paulina say “the sun is my enemy today.” So Dany plays the forces of control and Pau plays the unwitting disciple. They are some of the smartest young people in the rock genre today, all big readers and the subject of their work is always meaningful. Please continue to explore their growing catalog great songs. Classic smart hard rock is experiencing a renaissance and The Warning is at the forefront.
The drummer is Pau (POW! like the sound she makes, from Paulina POW-lee-na). Guitar is Dany (Dan-nee from Daniela dan-ee-ay-lah). Bass is Ale (Ah-lay from Alejandra ah-lay-han-drah). Great reaction.
Sorry, not to be that person but Ale’s name is pronounced without the “Ay”. One way to look at it: pretend one is saying Alex but without the ‘X’ at the end.
Right. I try not to let it bug me, but Teatro is also pronounced like "Tay-ah-tro". Usually only one vowel sound per vowel letter, so it's simpler than English. A E I O U sound like Ah Ay Ee Oh OO (like in boo). @@andgar923
Pau sing lead about 10 songs . she sing and drums simultaneously since... she plays drums. One of her first teacher (the first ?) encourage her to sing and drum to be more straight on time
Great reaction! This song is such a banger! Their presentation and performance is always top notch and they give their absolute best at every one of their show! If you really want to see Pau demonstrate the extent of her singing talent while drumming, you should check out Dust to Dust or 23 from the same concert. Evolve at the VMAs is another great one that I highly recommend you check out. They don't have a single bad song, so really you can pick any song next and it'll be great!
This has been a major topic for them since the beginning, check out their music video XXI Century Blood from thier first album of the same name. It was relesed in 2017 when they were 12, 15 and 17, the song is great, the video is amazing and you can see that the dangers of modern technology and social media have always been a concern for them. The end of the Video showing that you can take that leap away from total absorption in social media and survive the fall is outstanding.
Yup, nailed it. Nice catch on the POV change. That’s why it’s a duet between Dany and Pau. Dany is the “influencer” and Pau is the disciple. Just keep going thru the Metropolitan concert. It will give you a good mix of all 3 albums. Once you’re fully indoctrinated into the warning army (a good kind of ‘Disciple’😊) there’s still a ton of other music/material waiting. And a soon to be 4th album.
Thank you for this reaction to The Warning, the best thing to come along for rock in many years. The Warning Army TWA will provide you with allot of details and history. DPA ⚡🤘🔥
Great reaction - you picked up so much that other reactors miss. You earned a subscribe. FYI - Dany has multiple effects she uses on her guitar via her programmable pedal board: delays, octaves, etc to give her a fatter, thicker sound. These ladies have so much going for them - great musicianship, exceptional lyrics, and above all, they are masterful songwriters. Looking forward to more The Warning reactions.
I love your reaction! Not only do you look at the music, but you also pay attention to the lyrics! They are so good at both, and many reactors only look at one facet of this band. They are so talented in every possible way. Keep on rockin! I'll be looking for more!
gr8 reaction ... keep going with the teatro metropolitan concert ... every track is epic ... this concert is a masterpiece!!! ... r0ck 0n ... twa ... \m/
Great songwriters these ladies. Paulina, the drummer is mostly the initiator of the song writing process with the idea (some lyrics or a melody that she composes on the piano) and all 3 will then come together and flesh out the finished product. I enjoyed your reaction. Thanks!
yeah they switch back and forth in this song - the lyrics have two "voices" - one is the Disciple, the True Believer who is willing to kill for those beliefs, passionate but narrowminded, a zealot (Dany), then there's the "observer / critic" voice trying to warn of the dangers of isolation and extremism (Pau). Read the lyrics, it all makes sense, and is a helluva social commentary about the dangers of social media, belief, and extremism...
"Now you're talkin" .... This show is awesome all the way to the end.. You've just had a small sample of the perfect singing drummer.. Try 23, Dust to Dust & Revenant, same show.. 🤟🎶☮️
*Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... *XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three others that also speak about it... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story about it... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

You are a great ambassador for The warning I have seen you in several reactor videos. I am trying to introduce the band to the vinyl community because they don't know about the band. We need to help the band reach the very top because they deserve it. Cheers
@@SDsailor7 thank you, SDsailor7... i don't know if there are any ""restrictions"" the vinyl community has for being introduced to or listening to music... all of DPA/TW's albums are available on vinyl... QOTMS and ERROR are both double vinyls while XXICB is a single vinyl... while they do have two EPs, one is a digital download only and the other, Mayday, is CD-only... Mayday became the Error album when they signed with Lava... i think i got that right... still working on 1st c0ffee 😉
As you mention PJ, all 3 sisters sing. Dani is an excellent singer and frontwoman, Pau belongs to the elite of uncommon drummers who can sing fully while playing the drums. Ale can also be the lead singer, but she doesn't like to do it, she only does it when Dani needs to rest her voice.
Now that you found the first leaf of the four-leafed reaction clover of The Warning, Lovebites, Ren and Electric Callboy, there are only three more rabbit holes to find 🙂 Have fun with them!
I'm going to suggest a short detour from this concert to More and Evolve from the MTV Video Music Awards. More is a newer song; this is the first good live recording of it; Evolve is just plain wild.
Great reaction! I love this song and its meaning. I agree about the Skillet drummer and the Hailstorm sound. Two great influences. You will love going down the Warning rabbit hole. It's crowded there but a great place to be. :-)
Ale does not like to sing lead, but she has been known to do so on occasion if one of her sisters is under the weather, or needs to rest her voice a bit. She does have short vocal solos in Choke from the Teatro Concert, or in More from their appearance at this years VMAs, which are both worth checking out.
When we study the show a little more we realize that nothing is random. The discussion between Pau and Dany : the master and the disciple. The postures, the rolling of the drums, the martial way of walking on stage, the military 2, 3 finally everything. It's simply amazing!
Welcome to The Warning. Individually.. these talented and charming sisters are underrated prodigies. Together… they are unstoppable. They came. They rocked. They conquered.
Love that you caught how Dany uses delay to make it sound like 2 guitars. So many think it is a backing track. They use minimal backing tracks. Check out Toronto show from Aug. Dany had flu and Ale sang lead on 2 songs for the first time.
Good reaction and as you can see even if they are only 3 have a sound that fills completely in live. Now it's time for Evolve, in the version they played this year at MTV Music Awards.
Excellent reaction, opinion and comment. Your enthusiasm is just a reflection of the excitement that many of us in the TWArmy feel about DPA's masterful creations. Pau is the main writer and Dany the second, but all 3 intervene with democratic decisions throughout the process. Pau is also the vocal leader in some songs, but Dany is the vocal leader in the majority. Ale is the lead singer (very rarely, sadly) only when Dany has needed to rest her voice in one or two songs in some of her concerts. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
Great, great reaction! Thank you! Disfruté esta reacción! Disciple es una gran canción con excelente letra, tiene un video muy bueno además. Grandes letristas, compositoras y adorables jóvenes, The Warning!
This tune and _Evolve_ are the ones I use to introduce "old school rockers" to the band. The ladies will wander all over the place musically, but their lyrics are always engaging, thought-provoking, and often deliberately arranged to allow for multiple levels of listener interpretation. Some, of course, are very straight-forward, but most are to some degree "interpretive". Excellent reaction and analysis!! 🙂 BTW, Ale does sing, generally as backup harmonies, but that's more due to her personal desire to stay out of the spotlight rather than any lack of ability. Indeed, she also has a good degree of range and "Precision" may as well be her middle name. She just doesn't enjoy getting put out front and in focus; she's a tad introverted unless she feels very comfortable. But she can and has taken up the "lead singer" role from time to time when on-tour illness keeps one of her sisters resting their voices for a show or two.
This song rocks they are just incredible performers this was my introduction to TW and I have yet to find a bad song by them. Any song from this show is great 22 in total they are best live. To hear the drummer Pau take the lead vocals try Dust to Dust or 23 at this show. Their song writing is next level all 3 of them are involved throughout the whole process. Thanks for the great reaction. 🤘⚡🔥🔥⚡

"Great sound" is right. Very dynamic. Many Warning songs have sections without guitar - the bass and drums are so well-arranged and executed that they can carry the tune, so when the guitar re-enters, it's a whole new level of intensity.
