I was in high school in Haiti and I remember when they kidnapped Aristide. I didn't understand everything at this time but I remember a big campaign in every radio station and TV demanding France to give us back the money they stole from Haiti. Aristide was kidnapped for this reason.

Thank you for your information. I saw a video from a Domincan journalist talking about how priest of the catholic church are also influencing the course of the Haitian people.
Also the core group don't allow the Dominican Rep, who is affected by all of this, to have a say in the matter. On the contrary they and the UN are forcing DR just the same.
Hope you get more viewing. Thank you again.

Thank you for this very informative video. As an American born Haitian, who is very proud about my roots I always try to get understanding of what’s going on politically. One thing I know for sure if I can trust anything from American media about our motherland. I’ll be using this video as a reference when I speak to my non-haitian friend about what’s going on in Haiti

@@onlythetruth883 I understand your frustration. Right now the diaspora is the glue that keep the Haitian economy together with all the transfers. So the diaspora is doing their part. Another thing no one in their right mind go into a battle zone without intelligence. She is providing intelligence by helping us understand the root of the issue. Again she is a human right lawyer she is offering her help by using what she learn to get to the bottom of the problem that is going on in Haiti. Now if we support her and rally behind her we can have our case heard in the international court base on her findings so far it shows the international players are illegally interfering in Haiti’s politics. The fight is not just going to be on the ground in Haiti we will also need intellectuals like her that know laws to help defend Haiti in the international courts through their justice system. Lastly let’s not react emotionally rather move tactically and with purpose we have a country to defend

International Intervention in Haiti. Compare that with the USA failed attempts in "nation building" in Iraq and Afghanistan. Military victories are easily accomplished. Nation building is very difficult. The USA succeeded militarily in Iraq and Afghanistan but failed in "nation building". The "nation building" failure falls not on the USA but on Iraq and Afghanistan. The "nation building" success in post WW2 Japan and Germany falls not on the USA but on Japan and Germany. The mindset, value set, culture of the peoples of Japan and Germany were suitable for nation building. The intention of International Intervention in Haiti is nation building. Haiti is currently a failed state. The mindset, value set, culture of the people of Haiti is not yet suitable for nation building. To paraphrase a song by the late Eddy Kendricks: "Haiti, you need a change of mind".
Countries are like people: there is only so much you can blame your shitty parents for ruining your life. If, when an adult, you don’t begin to put your act together, no amount of external help will help you and worse, you being to think that it will be always someone else who is coming to the rescue from the shit you do. The horrible difference is that while people eventually die, countries keep dragging along, bringing themselves down with whatever surroundings they have.
Another problem is the notion of sovereignty: The same people who pull their hairs off claiming that each nation has to be independent and do whatever they want inside their borders (with whatever delusional ideology they happen to embrace), as a sovereign principle, is the same people who pulls their hairs off demanding that other nations (whoever, they will always find who to blame) help and bear the responsibility of such nations repeated bad decisions (then yes, they agree on Humanism and Human Rights as the ruling principle among nations). Hence you have an eternal cycle of “enabling” failed states.
The problems of Haiti are caused by Haiti, not by external forces. People blaming the USA, France, United Nations, and others for the problems of Haiti are treating Haiti as an infant, a helpless, useless, clueless, witless child. Haiti fought hard for its independence in 1804. Haiti needs to figure out the purpose of being an independent Nation. How is Independence useful to and for the people of Haiti?
Who wants to intervene in Haiti? The poverty and misery of Haiti is its best defense.
When the USA embargoed Cuba in 1960 about 50,000 haitians (seasonal workers) were marooned. In the 1960's and 1970's Cuba sent revolutionary activists (military, civilian) to Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. But Castro sent no agents to Haiti. Puzzling, given that there is a large haitian community in Cuba from which to recruit agents. A journalist asked the Cuban Ambassador to the United Nations why no agents were sent to Haiti. Answer: "Who wants to inherit Haiti's problems?"
Yes, there were rumors of a 1966 plan to send 300 people from Cuba to overthrow Duvalier and nothing came about. Duvalier justified the various mass seizures, arrests, killings because of various coup attempts (real and rumored). Duvalier declared himself president for life in 1964.

Nice presentation though sad reality for Haiti indeed.
Why do these so-called developed nations enslave Haiti for so long like they would stop existing if they left Haiti alone.
Now I understand who is responsible for the mess in Haiti like in the messed up nations in Africa.
Surprisingly and stupidly, Kenyan African brothers want to clean up their mess, leave them to face it till they let Haiti go free.
