    Loved the tutorial! I'm making a round double sided business card. Any tip on how to make sure both sides are lined up. I know you mentioned make sure they're both in the corner of the page but for some reason, it gets offset when I flip the page over to do the back side of the card, so they aren't lined up evenly.

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  3 года назад +1

      glad you enjoyed the tutorial! only one side needs to be lined up to the corner of the page. the other side can be printed as normal so that the black boxes are lined up on both sides! if this does not work, then i would suggest recallibrating your Cricut or realigning your printer ink cartridges! sometimes those get in the way of an even cut :)

    Thanks for the visual!
    Side note:
    Did you know you can click on the white rectangle beside "blank canvas" under the layers tab, then change the color of the background at the top of the page? Then you don't need to make the dark colored square any more!

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  3 года назад

      Hello! Thank you for the tip! When I click the white rectangle beside "blank canvas", I don't see an option to change the color of the background at the top of the page. Is this a feature on the most current version of Design Space? Thanks again!

    • @pattyandrew7764

      @@tohtes I do not have that option either. Everything is greyed out.

    • @tinaazolino1836
      @tinaazolino1836 2 года назад

      It looks like it’s grayed out but there’s a little white square at the top. Click on that and the color picker pops up.

    im so confused at the ending. so did you put the back side back in the printer and let it go through again with the front side?

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  3 года назад

      yes! it depends on your printer's settings. i had to insert mine a specific direction so that it printed on the other side. this way i am able to have both sides of my business cards aligned!

    Love how there’s finally a good tutorial to make double sided business cards using the Cricut!… what thickness of card did you use to make the business cards that was able to go through the printer? as I’ve heard most business cards are 300gsm and up but most printers only except up to 200gsm

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  3 года назад +2

      thank you so much! i used cardstock with a thickness of 176 gsm. in the future, i may look into paper that is thicker because this one is a bit see through!

    Why did you align the back to the right ? I didn’t get that part

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  Год назад

      so that the Cricut will cut the cards out to be aligned on one side! otherwise, the cards would be cut out without the full design shown

    Tremendous shout out for this tutorial. Business cards are my least favorite when it comes to paper works in design space. Thank you so much for making such an easy step by step guide. However I'm unable to align my back side of biz card on right hand side of the page? mat?...Circut design space is not allowing any changes at this step except mirror option. Could you please advise what am I doing wrong. Appreciate your time and effort on this issue. Thanks in advance.

      Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words. Are you dragging the page (with the black outline around) to the right side with your mouse? At this point, it is not particularly a Design Space setting but rather a manual one. Hope this helps!

    Hi there! Loved this tutorial! I am unable to get both sides the same height and width. I make sure they are the same on both sides before grouping and duplicating but it won't go to the exact height and width for both front and back. Any idea how to fix?

    Would this technique work for buisness cards that are die cut shapes? Been trying to figure out how to do a double sided cut for my buisness card design through my cricut.

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  3 года назад

      it has to be on the print then cut setting! if you have a shape of a design that you want to make into a business card, then i would suggest uploading that design as an image and then removing the necessary backgrounds so that it is uploaded as a print then cut image. hope this helps!

    My circuit wants to cut out the lettering. What am I missing for it to cut out a card? Please help

    • @tohtes
      @tohtes  3 года назад

      you may need to attach and flatten the lettering onto the shape of your business card so that the cricut recognizes it as one whole piece!
