I leaned more towards the movo at a distance. The Comica sounded a bit quieter and muffled. They sounded the same close up tho. Nice to see the grass is finally growing.
I have the Movo myself but was interested in looking at mics at the same price range; The Comica seems to sound better close up in a controlled environment while the Movo picks up more ambient noise but also can pick you up from further away.

G'day from Australia. Thanks for posting this shoot-out video, I haven't seen anyone else compare these two popular models. I am trying to decide between them. I paid a little more attention to your indoors testing, as this was a more constant (controlled) environment. Outside, the testing was subjected to different degrees of background noise and positioning for your walk-through. I'm not an audiophile, but I do think that I have "good ears". In my opinion, the Comica sounded a little crisper (I think you used the term "boosted"), more detectable indoors. But, really, there isn't a lot between them sound-wise. I'm wondering whether the mounting of the Comica on a camera might be a little practically better when needing to look through the camera's viewfinder? The mount appears to be positioned a fraction further back, meaning it might protrude less from the rear of the camera compared with the Movo? And the fact that the Comica has both a foam cover and a fluffy cover included in the box is another small advantage for the Comica perhaps.
to be honest I think that you would be happy with either mic, size wise I feel like the comica is more compact and as for your viewfinder theory I think you are correct, because of the design the comica might be a better fit for you. Overall they are both great options for the price.
Both of those mics are bad with plosives when you're talking directly into them like a dynamic mic. In fairness, I've never seen anyone talk that close to them. Love my movo on my GoPro set up.
my movo vxr2021 is making a constant clicking noise, can someone please give me a suggestion to fix it. Its not even two days old, I have a Panasonic g85. brand new just got it yesterday as well. Everything is new. any help and tips? I don’t want to use foil around my cord either.
Is it me or does the Comica sounds a bit high pitched and scratchy? And the movo sounds a bit more warm and npr ish lol?
