This is getting really sad.. Up until a few weeks ago this vlog was interesting because BadChat let professionals execute his creativity. But now he shows every time how it shouldn't be done, trying to unscrew a spark plug with an unsuitable tool, spraying over rust, breaking a glass window etc.. All we see is tinkering.. Nothing is finished, up until a few months ago I watched his broadcasts every day with appreciation. Now I rarely come to watch and every time I see more decay.. A pathetic hopeless mess to keep the channel going, with or without 50 pushups that have nothing to do with the context. Pull yourself together Chad, hire some professionals who can execute your ideas. I'll come back in a few months, if this channel still exists then..

And once again Chad trying to do things as fast as possible caused a big problem, time is money, and destroying an expensive old car part is also money. When cutting something like that windown frame you need to slow down and take your time and measure everything not just once, but twice, and make sure you are making the right cuts. Jolene even told him he should measure it, and he was in such a hurry to get it done, he ignored her advice, then he ruined a $2,000 window frame. So much for doing it fast to save time and money.

Car was restored before the last guy got it. Car needed strip/paint. Could be done in sections( like he did the door). Car should not have been chopped! Doesn't make me a hater. It's like using the Mona Lisa as a canvas for your finger painting. He could have built what he is building using a 5 window coupe!

So here I am sitting on my couch drinking beer watching a guy screw up a car. The good part is this is a comment section and I’m allowed to say just about whatever I want. I’m free to be me and say whatever I want to. The nice part is somebody will comment on this anyway with something different than the way I feel. That’s ok, I’m a big boy I can take it. It still doesn’t change the fact that he did several catastrophic things to mess up this car.

Yep, the next step is all the negative commenters will get ghosted. I hope they don't go down that route. I have watched a few RUclips channels where they go off the rails and viewers start calling them out. Then the creators just start blocking individual viewer comments from being published, the way to know if you've been ghosted is to load their video in the incognito mode hand see if your comment appears there.
Makes me sad he even started to modify this car. It should have been properly restored. It already has a rebuilt engine in it and is very solid. Would have been an excellent car to restore and worth a lot more than it's going to end up as.

Chad! First of all, who cuts a windshield glass with a zip disc? You were in a hurry, lacked preparation and failed to have a proper glass cutting tool available. Then, after having numerous chip outs and "cracks", your face-saving comment is "it's not in the driver's view". Seriously? And now, what do you do? You take the zip disc to it again. Why not send it out to Paul to get a new piece cut without chips and cracks. Then correct the frame to fit the new glass and either get it re-chromed or polish it to match. Chalk any cost up to educational expense. And quit agonizing about your mistake on camera. Jeesh! Enough already.
Everyone in the world from the beginning of time had to take things head on and learn through trial and error with what they wanted to do. No one is born with experience or knowledge. If people like Albert Einstein listened to his critics he would have never overcame the challenges he faced. I applaud you on everything you do, what you do, and your honesty. Of course there's always someone with more experience. They obviously had to learn and start from scratch. I love too to do everything myself and at the end of the day practice makes perfect and repetition makes retention. Your channel, your stuff, and your way is cool to me. You're brave, intuitive, artistic, meticulous, and badass. Keep doing you no matter what anyone's opinion is regardless if it's right or wrong as long as it makes you happy and you have proved Time After Time you find what works best and gain more knowledge and experience with every situation you decide you want to tackle on your own whether you know what to do or not.
Have you ever cut glass with an angle grinder, is that insane or can it be done?? Genuine question. Ive seen it done with a glass cutter, alcohol and a flame on laminated glass but never a grinder😮

Same with the speed in cutting the drivers side post where you cut the wiper blade pipe! You cut the post then tried to open it up or pull it up yet then cut it off again when you cut the post down to the bottom of the tape BUT had you taken the time to think it thru the hose could have been left that 3 inches higher to be able to use it! Yup haste!
I have told you all along that you cannot keep going on your own and because of your stubborn streak you have not only completely destroyed the entire windscreen and even now your penny pinching of simply not taking the old screen and getting a new one cut takes everything away from the car. Being economical is one thing but you are turning a perfectly good classic car into a mobile scrap heap. You are not only wasting your talents but destroying your reputation by continuously cutting corners. Yes anyone can make a mistake but you are long enough at what you do and should know better. What you should have done was to simply leave the car as it was or else completely strip it and rebuild it like a brand new vehicle. You are forever going on about doing such and such would be wasting time and then you spend days on end trying to work on the engine. The gas tank is the exact same thing. Now the windscreen you are worrying about the windscreen frame moreso than getting a new screen. The Bugatti is nowhere near completion, as roughly 5 or 6 other projects remain the same. The workshop used to be a hive of of activity with several projects on the go at the same time whereas now the silence is killing me

If I recall the engine is a rebuilt from a 1936 that has replacement bearings and has seen little running time. Pretty sure that's what the previous owner told him.
Jolene this comment is meant for Chad ( Chad do what you enjoy, this last year you seem like you are just trying to make content for the viewers, when you were working on the Bugatti for Jolene you seemed so much happier and when you did her race car and hauler you had that same love in your eyes , and it was nice to see the two of you working on them together as a team. i could watch you work on the Bugatti for 6 months straight to see it finished . You seem to be at your best when you are making a custom creation . sorry if i am long winded but i just had to say i think the Bugatti is a piece of art that should be driven by your Queen.
5 minutes into this video and he's already running a Mach 2, so much for slowing down. At least you owned up to the mistake and i have much respect for you doing that. Slow down, no need to rush, and never forget, you and Jolene are a team, you'd be nothing without her. Take your time, I for one don't care if it takes you 2 hours in two videos to do a process. I know what goes into doing this kind of work, I just don't video it and post it for views. I've been at it 45 years and its not a job to rush in too.
Let me just say I am a big fan of Chad and Jolene....and I would like to point out to everyone in the Bad Chad nation to sit back and pray for this couple. Over the last few weeks I feel like we are watching Chad self destruct right before our eyes. He has always been hyper and going several different directions at the same time, but lately it's different. Something is off...I don't want to see something happen to the mad metal man or this wonderful couple and the relationships with their friends . Concerned,praying for you both!!!

the time it would have taken to measure is not proportional to time it takes to fix it -----BUT now we get more content...LOVE the channel. I have at least 10 tape measures but i still use my EYECROMETER
Mig it and it's gonna look crap and the weld will rust, Tig it as its stainless your use stainless rod. Nice super tight weld sand it Polish wouldn't even notice it.😊
Some you have made a great point the best fix after such careless mistake was to get a new piece of glass to fit the new size of the frame and chop the windshield opening by the 3/4 inch mistake. I've always said to be human is to make mistakes but the true display of a master of a trade is to fix that mistake so no one ever knows of the mistake.
You have red in the wheels, black running boards, not sure the color of the carson top, but you could sand the windshield frame and paint it a complementing color, then you dont need to repair the chrome. Just a thought.

I have watched a few RUclips channels where they go off the rails and viewers start calling them out. Then the creators just start blocking individual viewer comments from being published, the way to know if you've been ghosted is to load their video in the incognito mode hand see if your comment appears there.

to be fair, using tape IS measuring - it's jumping from one measured piece to another that's the problem.
Makes me sad he even started to modify this car. It should have been properly restored. It already has a rebuilt engine in it and is very solid. Would have been an excellent car to restore and worth a lot more than it's going to end up as.

Chad! First of all, who cuts a windshield glass with a zip disc? You were in a hurry, lacked preparation and failed to have a proper glass cutting tool available. Then, after having numerous chip outs and "cracks", your face-saving comment is "it's not in the driver's view". Seriously? And now, what do you do? You take the zip disc to it again. Why not send it out to Paul to get a new piece cut without chips and cracks. Then correct the frame to fit the new glass and either get it re-chromed or polish it to match. Chalk any cost up to educational expense. And quit agonizing about your mistake on camera. Jeesh! Enough already.

Everyone in the world from the beginning of time had to take things head on and learn through trial and error with what they wanted to do. No one is born with experience or knowledge. If people like Albert Einstein listened to his critics he would have never overcame the challenges he faced. I applaud you on everything you do, what you do, and your honesty. Of course there's always someone with more experience. They obviously had to learn and start from scratch. I love too to do everything myself and at the end of the day practice makes perfect and repetition makes retention. Your channel, your stuff, and your way is cool to me. Same with the speed in cutting the drivers side post where you cut the wiper blade pipe! You cut the post then tried to open it up or pull it up yet then cut it off again when you cut the post down to the bottom of the tape BUT had you taken the time to think it thru the hose could have been left that 3 inches higher to be able to use it!

I have told you all along that you cannot keep going on your own and because of your stubborn streak you have not only completely destroyed the entire windscreen and even now your penny pinching of simply not taking the old screen and getting a new one cut takes everything away from the car. Being economical is one thing but you are turning a perfectly good classic car into a mobile scrap heap. You are not only wasting your talents but destroying your reputation by continuously cutting corners. Yes anyone can make a mistake but you are long enough at what you do and should know better. What you should have done was to simply leave the car as it was or else completely strip it and rebuild it like a brand new vehicle. You are forever going on about doing such and such would be wasting time and then you spend days on end trying to work on the engine. The gas tank is the exact same thing. Now the windscreen you are worrying about the windscreen frame moreso than getting a new screen. The Bugatti is nowhere near completion, as roughly 5 or 6 other projects remain the same. The workshop used to be a hive of of activity with several projects on the go at the same time whereas now the silence is killing me

If I recall the engine is a rebuilt from a 1936 that has replacement bearings and has seen little running time. Pretty sure that's what the previous owner told him.

Let me just say I am a big fan of Chad and Jolene....and I would like to point out to everyone in the Bad Chad nation to sit back and pray for this couple. Over the last few weeks I feel like we are watching Chad self destruct right before our eyes. He has always been hyper and going several different directions at the same time, but lately it's different. Something is off...I don't want to see something happen to the mad metal man or this wonderful couple and the relationships with their friends .

Some you have made a great point the best fix after such careless mistake was to get a new piece of glass to fit the new size of the frame and chop the windshield opening by the 3/4 inch mistake. I've always said to be human is to make mistakes but the true display of a master of a trade is to fix that mistake so no one ever knows of the mistake.
Tig welding would result in nicer looking work with less grinding. Less chance of creating low spots
You have red in the wheels, black running boards, not sure the color of the carson top, but you could sand the windshield frame and paint it a complementing color, then you dont need to repair the chrome. Just a thought.
