Your machine has its belt and motor enclosed. You need to remove the screws to remove the cover. It most likely has a belt. It probably needs to be cleaned of lint internally and oiled. It also looks like it needs to be rewired. The motor may need new brushes and grease after a good cleaning. The motor uses grease not out. All other moving parts will need oil. New machine oil. Your treadle machine is cool. You can get a belt from Central Michigan sewing parts and supplies. Bob Fowler has great videos on vintage machines and you can email him. Wonderful person. Lost Mountain does beautiful work on vintage cabinets. Lost Mountain has his shop in Georgia but I don’t recall where. He no longer makes videos but I’m still subscribed because his content is excellent. Bob post every Saturday evening. He is in New Jersey not too far from an old Singer factory. I have a model 66 with filigree decals like you. I also have one with the red eye decals and a model 127 with the sphinx decals. You can put your plate back on but you have to put it in from the other side. Remove the foot and have the presser bar raised all the way. Then line the plate sides up and push it in. I believe Bob has a video on it. Don’t use any cleaner’s or water on your treadle machine. Use clean machine oil. My model 66 1927 belonged to my grandmother. Happy researching. Linda
