This is exactly what I want. Don’t break the game every new character, just make teams slightly more playable
It's already been broke.
I think Mobile Gamer said it best when he said "Nothing meta". They made an obsolete team "playable", that's all. To me that's not worth spending money on a character, I'll get it for free, I'd sooner spend money on a different character if I'm going to buy something.
I agree with PhaRoaH, the game is already broken. It's broken enough that this character means nothing and this team will not be relevant against anything meta or anything new to be released. I would just question if Ravagers will be a better option. LOL. Words I never thought I'd say...
The problem with that is the teams like this will become irrelevant faster.
Problem is it's harder to counter the constant stacking in say Arena of iw, etc. So many clone teams that you just hit battle to get the credit even knowing you'll lose. They shouldn't have op'd so many new characters and yes this kind of halts it but it doesn't do anything about the the teams entrenched already. It can be like hitting a brick wall
I totally agree. Super powerful abilities and straight up amazing characters should reserved more for legendary characters.
I found that Magik is not that bad as supposed to what I believed yesterday. She's good and I was able to test them against New Warriors, BO, SA, DoomHood, etc at around 50-100k punch up. And the key is to make sure that Phoenix dies before Storm's turn so Magik will have 100% speed bar and use special, that way Storm will have 13 charges ready and you can either stun or blow the enemy.
Yeah I’m not blowing $50 so an old Offensive War team is a slightly better. I’ll be fine getting her through the event

So basically you need a t4 on Storm, and 2t4s on Magik for this team to work effectively.
I think you need to use Storms Ice Storm turn 2 so she has a 100% stun chance instead. In your video, Storm only has 3 charges, so when she does Ice Storm she has a 40% chance to stun each opponent.

But why put Colossus behind Phoenix, Magik gets hit this way. If you switch places for him and Phoenix, Magik will be safer, she wont take unnecessary damage like she did in this video and almost died no?

She’s good against teams where you already run over with Black order because power creep is out of control.
You should position colly on outside with Phoenix next to him. Magic on opposite end. Then whoever’s the beefiest between cyclopse and storm. You don’t really care if DP dies because magik will re-resurrect her. I only have 4 red so I’m not too far ahead of you but I almost managed to pull a 240k punch up on BO Turn order is nice right after they kill Phoenix she clears AB.

I think running storm, magik, colossus, wolverine, and phoenix might actually be a fairly decent raid team. Really want to test that one out. You could probably even swap phoenix for beast if you didn't want to have to revive her every time. You'd lose a little synergy, but gain more defensive stats and sustain. Who knows? I think this will be fun to play around with. Could be wrong but won't know until I test it.
Decent, but not good enough to displace Ax-men.
@@garyco766 oh for sure, but it would be more to just do something refreshing. The meta seems to never change and it's always the same teams doing the same things week in and week out. It gets really boring. I was super happy immortals finally pushed iw out of arena, and here is something that I think can so okay so I have more options for mutant nodes than just axmen all the time. In the past I even ran x factor with either beast or emma just to break the monotony and they held their own pretty well. Just think it will be nice to have more options. Now we really need a new tech team lol.

Magik in Marvel Avengers Alliance was pretty sweet. She could random summon demons to attack. She could lay some wicked debuffs on enemies. I'm pretty sure she could random teleport to evade an attack. And her basic never missed. Plus as she charged up, she did more damage and better debuffs.
MagiK in MSF doesn't seem that impressive to me. Kinda disappointing.

@@blissshastings1818 There is a fan project to bring it back. There's only one Dev working on the game (for the most part), and they are having to code all of the stuff that used to be handled server-side since there will be no server to connect to in order to play. He used to make update reports 1-2 times a month, and an occasional Alpha release so that folks could actually experience the progress. But he hasn't made a report since October.

Easily the most skippable toon release since she hulk.
I think Scopely will lose alot of players come next year in Feburary, when they suggest more RAMS on your phone to play their Glitchy game.

Have you tried the team against a Kestrel team? I did against an SA/Kestrel team. Kestrel killed Phoenix, Dark Phoenix was blocked (as expected), but Magik did not res Dark Phoenix after. Bug?
Nope, while Kestrel hasn't taken another turn, she will prevent ANY summons, not the first one.
Did she not summon on next turn after kestrel lost the charge?
@@BlackzSparrow I guess Magik can't summon DP back, because she wasn't there in the first place.
@@LaurentCassaro her kit is supposed to according to the passive.
@@BlackzSparrow I checked back the passive. So :
- Phoenix dies
- Kestrel prevents the summon
- Magik passive triggers (only once) on her turn, and there it *should* depend on whenever Kestrel has taken another turn before or not.
So yes, *if* Magik took her turn after Kestrel has taken *another* turn, it's a bug. If not, it works as intended.
How do you do war testing?
Get red stars on her and they're close to being unstoppable because EVERYONE getting their ultimate off... Too much power 🤷🏾♂️
It won’t change the team much since she isn’t where the power comes from. Her entire purpose is to give the charges to Storm.

"Nothing Meta" are the words that I feel sum this addition up best. An obsolete team is now more playable (against other obsolete teams). Sure, we'll still see those obsolete teams in war (or use them ourselves), but is it worth spending money if you're a spender? I say no. It's nice for free, but if you're going to spend money, save if you a better investment. An Ikaris offer even... We see what TWO Eternals can do, let's be honest, there will eventually be 5 (and the current two will likely be the weakest of the team), so work on Eternals now, I think your money will last longer in game-life than rehashing Uncanny X-Men. Rumors say Hellfire Club will be coming soon, THAT will likely be a team worth getting, or Excalibur, and all will require MUTANT gear, so don't spend it now on Uncanny!
PS: I'm a HUGE fan of Magik, glad she's in the game, hoped she'd be worth buying, but don't feel she is. I have her original Marvel mini-series as well as The New Mutants comics, so been a fan a LONG time!

And be as good? No. You could add beast, his ult has great synergy with storm and cyclops ults and he grants extra charges for storm. But then, Beast already has a (better) team.
