As someone who is battling stage 4 cancer, I can attest that missing a day (stupid chemo treatments) sets you back much farther than just missing some farming.

@@OhGeeGanksta no not really all meta chars or chars that i used the most are 5 red plus, i stockpile on silver promos to garanteee that, i am also patient regarding what characters i want to farm/skip. For example, I skip every war defense team. I also tend to not rush the newest arena meta and things go pretty well in my account.
I miss the random teams, and theory crafting. I realized war isnt fun anymore and after thinking about it, i realized its the same problem as blitz and raids anymore...its too repetitive. All teams are cookie cutter and specifically synergized. Everyone has the same teams, and u have to attack with the same counters. When war first came out, it was a wild west of pieced together teams, and it was fun making hybrid teams. Of course thats ignoring the bigger issue that war def teams are TRASH
Exactly. The synergies are too specific. Characters should have more tags relevant to their back story with synergies for everyone that makes sense in that way.
War was probably at its most fun with team building just before the changes expanding how many teams we needed. Just before that we had an ‘excess’ of characters so could make some good hybrids.
I love these conversations as a casual just hitting Legendary DD4 lanes. It helps me figure out what my best investments are. It's kind of wild how low value so many of the legendary characters are now.
I’m not hurrying into dd5. When dd4 came out I meticulously planned who I was going to use and blew through the first 3 node then stalled at global for 3 months while I waited for ballistic weaves for Emma. After 3 months I gave up on being able to bring her in and just used a character I had the gear for just to be able to enter global and move on. I’m not doing that again

The gear that's the bottleneck for DD5 is NOT in teal orbs. So, it's not raiding that's the gate. It's the absence of Armory 16 orbs combined with fact that Armory 16 orbs have TWO columns, which is just gross.
@@joeyfarino6560 player choice. As an example, if you wanted to take Shang Chi to g16, you can't really make that choice or work towards that. You are at the mercy of RNG for what orbs give you or what shows up the in the store.
So far, I am not taking a single character I took on my first run of dd4 on my first run of dd5. That will change when I get to legendary, but it speaks to how much the game changed the past year.
mobile gamer just nailed it about war. My alliance before we hit plat 2 . We probably won 90% of our matches. Since promotion to platinum 2 we have a 50% win loss ratio. Every time we win a few in a row , we get matched up with an alliance with double our TCP
I agree about the compensation pulling from events. Look at when they gave us the missing calendar rewards in Feb after people complained. They did it as a Valentine's calendar like we wouldn't have had a Valentine's calendar either way.
They should put Teal Gear in the Daily challenges, maybe start it just on Sundays and then gradually add them to other days cause the lack of Teal gear is ridiculous.
You've said previously you have to spend cores to keep up the raid demands for your alliance. Cores do equal money so it's not entirely true to say you haven't spent money on DD5 gear.

I want SO badly to know what my list of g16 items look like, but I can't see the whole list, which limits my ability to plan my character building, not to mention which items I should be prioritizing in the store! Honestly I think we are in for a bit of a shock, I reckon they are withholding real gear at least until the next patch. Then here is the kicker I feel like we will see another level cap increase along with a new gear tier much sooner than we would expect. Just because of how the scourge events are structured. It might not be till the end of the year but even then that’s a shorter time frame between g16 and g17 than there was between G15 and g16.. maybe they could even go up more? I’m not sure if they would go that far (I mean have a double jump ?) As I’m sure G18 will be mostly teal gear a position no one will be able to achieve. So I think we will hopefully see a new campaign or iso campaign soon before we see a teal war orb. But still could be worse we could be in alliances that can’t run doom 1 (coming from an alliance that only recently started hitting 30% in doom 1).
I het sbc from raid store every refresh. In other shops as well. They're very farmable. That being said.. ability to farm characters is absolutely pathetic, worse than terrible teal gear. 1 toon a month going into a shop isn't enough. Should have about 30 more campaigns by now

I think that boundless needs to realize what position they are putting themselves in. They’re building up aggression in their player base, withholding several resources and locking them behind paywalls for months, and refusing to let community managers address these concerns unless it’s in a very vague way. I think that if they continue this process over the next couple of months, they are going to start noticing a huge drop in funds.
I think you are over estimating the amount of anger in the player base. The people that watch content and post on Reddit are really just the vocal minority. Most of the player base is less entrenched in the "community" and probably don't really even care that much or even think about these 'dire issues'! It's this bubble that us diehard players live inside of where we interact with other similar types and that creates a false perception of a majority with in the minority. Believe it or not many people that play this game do not allow it to be so important in their lives that it has an affect on their emotional state. Heck I'm about as hardcore as it comes and I seldom feel salty or concerned about how the company that makes this game chooses to act. I guess the way I see it is: I play this game to enjoy the experience, if the experience becomes frustrating or upsetting to me, then what is the point of continuing to play? So many issues in this game, but I really like Marvel and this is the best style of game I like to play. Just come back after stopping playing around cloak/dagger release (with a week sometime in the middle where I somehow got Ikaris, but still don't have cloak or dagger). Not playing for 8 months, and I think I may be 2 years behind everyone.
Based on the mystic gear crunch how important is cloak for city nodes? And would morbius be a better use as per cheaper and has potential to be needed for Morgan? Or better to stick with cloak for his doom raid bonus?

@@batmanwins5701 Screw DD5. I'm using teal gear for scourge events and horsemen. I'll use 4 horsemen for Apocalypse, then use Apocalypse and his horsemen to unlock Dormamu. Tired of looking at my roster and seeing obsolete toons with gear 15. Why do I want obsolete toons with gear 16 next year? Dormamu doesn't do anything. Also, Apocalypse will require 4 horsemen at 6-7 stars for unlock. Need to make scourges as hard as possible so I can get 6* MLF after 2-3 events. Lazy scourges will take 2-3 years for Apocalypse.

If you pick Invisible Woman, you can at least count on a Fantastic Four buff, especially when the MCU film comes out. Blackbolt and the Inhumans have essentially been shelved by MCU, so it's far less likely for him to receive any sort of meaningful change.
I'm still getting top 20 in arena with my i.w. and my ftp eternals. I chased the meta when i.w. dropped and had been in the top of my arena for a while before that. At this point I have used my arena creds to finish collecting all of the characters in that store and the amount of cores I get finishing in the top 10-30 range is not going to make or break me. Arena is my least favorite game mode (I actually enjoy RTA and blitz) so I think I'll be just fine with dropping down and not having to worry about trying to win the wallet race. I like your comment because I think you have the right attitude about this. So much of the salty rage that I see people venting about could be resolved by people adopting your frame of mind. If you have contact with any of the developers or partial influence bring up the idea of resetting the DDs every month or every other month and so forth. It'll incentivise players to play more often since they have a new way to get around the bottle neck by farming/grinding through DDs every month. I think it's a waste to have prizes only twice and you'll never touch that mode again until a new DD comes out.
They depend on , and want us to spend money chasing characters we hope will give us an edge. If they reset the DD rewards bi monthly or whatever proposing, a player could gear up every new incoming character without touching their wallet. That just wouldn’t do.
I agree with that sentiment but they're going to be hurting when when that loyal base that does spend hits max and the casuals who don't spend stop playing. It's in their interest monetarily for the immediacy but hurts them in the long run. Hell they could do it once a year and spark a rejuvenation, not to mention they could even reduce the prizes based on difficulty (players level or max team size) so it gives newer players a way to grind and catch whales and players who play more often. Or hell even pay power cores to reset. Something different.
Honestly the only thing that makes these DD so hard is the absolutely ridiculous amount of turns the AI gets compared to you. The AI will very literally get 7 to 8 turns for every one of yours. It doesn't matter if you have speed buffs or what team you are even using. The AI always gets significantly more turns than you. It's insanely annoying.
What good is a 'hero collector' where you can't collect heroes? Other games in this genre make things interesting with costumes or with harder content, not stopping people from getting characters at all. This game is in a class of its own, ugh.
I'm out of elite red star orbs and now I have 0 red stars for Wong and only 1 red for Heartless ... Almost wasted 5 Elite 4 and 2 Elite 5 for Heartless and now I'm fucked
The only way to have fun with this game, is to not spend a single cent on it. Not one. That's what I've done. It seems, to me, that once you spend a few bucks on it, your enjoyment plummets.

I couldn’t launch any raid during the 2nd morbius event. As a f2p this game is really becoming silly. Web wariors and dark Hunters are required for THIS ONE scurge, yet we won’t be able to farm theim until the next scurge. Being screwd that much isn’t healthy.
You say you haven't paid for anything to progress your characters for DD5. Granted you raid well. Have your bought the rta pass as that gives plenty of teal gear I mean that's spending still compared to those FTP player just saying 🤷🏻♂️. Rta lost its appeal since they took the characters away from it I couldn't care about the costumes
I made the ssm mistake as well. He seemed like a no brainer so I confidently placed my first teal gear on him days before w.w. were revealed. Ghost spider got my first set of alien spores and now ssm is sitting around waiting for 8 more of that unique so that I can enter the city nodes🥴😤
Yeah that sucks. My rule is never put part of teal gear on someone, wait until you have all the gear ready as your decision may change. Particularly with the change in meta and power creep.
The win/loss rewards for war aren't the problem. It's the design of the league system. Why care about building war teams at all when my alliance can almost completely ignore them and still make it to Plat 3 faster than many of the try hard alliances?
As one of the FTP players they are talking about…even I am burnt out. 1000+ day player and it’s super annoying how they have so many characters locked behind paywalls but also the fact they are just now releasing. Gambit, Might be releasing Rogue and night crawler. Can’t get to the next level without money?! Adding MORE dumb modes to do no one asked for. I have dropped down to 3 times from competitive alliances, to less competitive to even lesss competitive and it’s annoying that as soon as I show up they increase their requirements. It’s a game and spending is so dumb. Stop it guys. You’re giving them a reason to keep sucking. Seriously
Scopely literally tells us who to upgrade..how to upgrade them and where to use them..then expect us to pay 100s of dollars for them..idk why they dont just release characters, broaden the tags and let us have a free for all...

You can do it if you're in a fairly active alliance. I am mainly F2P. I don't buy characters, or gear. I have spent on some of the micro transactions, .99, 1.99 etc. I have entered and beat the first nodes. With that said, I am a day oneish player.
How will i ever start dd5 when i constantly have to level up no good toons to compete for all the new gamemodes...not to mention all the new meta teams etc. All my gear is gone and stil we get 4-5 new characters each month...it dont make no sense...and then there is ability mats. Its just to much new stuff, im not exited about new releases anymore bc i cant level up....the game sucks

Rank doesn't mean anything. You can be plat 2 and the alliance be like 10,000th in CP, while another plat 2 is top 100 in CP.

Tired of looking at my roster and seeing obsolete toons with gear 15. Why do I want obsolete toons with gear 16 next year? Dormamu doesn't do anything. Also, Apocalypse will require 4 horsemen at 6-7 stars for unlock. Need to make scourges as hard as possible so I can get 6* MLF after 2-3 events. Lazy scourges will take 2-3 years for Apocalypse.

If you pick Invisible Woman, you can at least count on a Fantastic Four buff, especially when the MCU film comes out. Blackbolt and the Inhumans have essentially been shelved by MCU, so it's far less likely for him to receive any sort of meaningful change.

I'm still getting top 20 in arena with my i.w. and my ftp eternals. I chased the meta when i.w. dropped and had been in the top of my arena for a while before that. At this point I have used my arena creds to finish collecting all of the characters in that store and the amount of cores I get finishing in the top 10-30 range is not going to make or break me. Arena is my least favorite game mode (I actually enjoy RTA and blitz) so I think I'll be just fine with dropping down and not having to worry about trying to win the wallet race. I like your comment because I think you have the right attitude about this. So much of the salty rage that I see people venting about could be resolved by people adopting your frame of mind. If you have contact with any of the developers or partial influence bring up the idea of resetting the DDs every month or every other month and so forth. It'll incentivise players to play more often since they have a new way to get around the bottle neck by farming/grinding through DDs every month. I think it's a waste to have prizes only twice and you'll never touch that mode again until a new DD comes out.
It’s a great idea to me but the devs will never go for that bc it means u don’t have to spend money to clear more harder levels with new characters
They depend on , and want us to spend money chasing characters we hope will give us an edge. If they reset the DD rewards bi monthly or whatever proposing, a player could gear up every new incoming character without touching their wallet. That just wouldn’t do.
I agree with that sentiment but they're going to be hurting when when that loyal base that does spend hits max and the casuals who don't spend stop playing. It's in their interest monetarily for the immediacy but hurts them in the long run. Hell they could do it once a year and spark a rejuvenation, not to mention they could even reduce the prizes based on difficulty (players level or max team size) so it gives newer players a way to grind and catch whales and players who play more often. Or hell even pay power cores to reset. Something different.
I don't want to heart a gear or iso piece, I WANT AN ACTUAL INVENTORY SYSTEM and where's the usable API?

Honestly the only thing that makes these DD so hard is the absolutely ridiculous amount of turns the AI gets compared to you. The AI will very literally get 7 to 8 turns for every one of yours. It doesn't matter if you have speed buffs or what team you are even using. The AI always gets significantly more turns than you. It's insanely annoying.
What good is a 'hero collector' where you can't collect heroes? Other games in this genre make things interesting with costumes or with harder content, not stopping people from getting characters at all. This game is in a class of its own, ugh.

The only way to have fun with this game, is to not spend a single cent on it. Not one. That's what I've done. It seems, to me, that once you spend a few bucks on it, your enjoyment plummets.

I couldn’t launch any raid during the 2nd morbius event. As a f2p this game is really becoming silly. Web wariors and dark Hunters are required for THIS ONE scurge, yet we won’t be able to farm theim until the next scurge. Being screwd that much isn’t healthy.

I made the ssm mistake as well. He seemed like a no brainer so I confidently placed my first teal gear on him days before w.w. were revealed. Ghost spider got my first set of alien spores and now ssm is sitting around waiting for 8 more of that unique so that I can enter the city nodes🥴😤
Yeah that sucks. My rule is never put part of teal gear on someone, wait until you have all the gear ready as your decision may change. Particularly with the change in meta and power creep.

The win/loss rewards for war aren't the problem. It's the design of the league system. Why care about building war teams at all when my alliance can almost completely ignore them and still make it to Plat 3 faster than many of the try hard alliances?
As one of the FTP players they are talking about…even I am burnt out. 1000+ day player and it’s super annoying how they have so many characters locked behind paywalls but also the fact they are just now releasing. Gambit, Might be releasing Rogue and night crawler. Can’t get to the next level without money?! Adding MORE dumb modes to do no one asked for. I have dropped down to 3 times from competitive alliances, to less competitive to even lesss competitive and it’s annoying that as soon as I show up they increase their requirements.
It’s a game and spending is so dumb. Stop it guys. You’re giving them a reason to keep sucking. Seriously

Not really. My alliance does doom 2.0 60% every day and I only bought 1 RTA pass since they introduced teal in there. and I’m in dd5

You can do it if you're in a fairly active alliance. I am mainly F2P. I don't buy characters, or gear. I have spent on some of the micro transactions, .99, 1.99 etc. I have entered and beat the first nodes. With that said, I am a day oneish player.
How will i ever start dd5 when i constantly have to level up no good toons to compete for all the new gamemodes...not to mention all the new meta teams etc. All my gear is gone and stil we get 4-5 new characters each month...it dont make no sense...and then there is ability mats. Its just to much new stuff, im not exited about new releases anymore bc i cant level up....the game sucks
