The new mic (and/or settings) is an improvement, much clearer on this one (not that you weren't previously, but it's a "brighter" tone to your commentary). My current changeover of event buildings is happening with the House of the Wolf, I used to have 10 of them, but now slowly they're getting overtaken and I can put a Metro building from the current event and a couple of cider gardens in the same 4x 6 space (2 House of the Wolfs) and improve my stats. Eagle Mountains may even be next (I have 8 currently), which is something I never thought would happen. If you're going to play the settlements for the benefit of QI boosts, then you probably want to choose the settlement to improve either your red boosts (Yggi tree) or blue boosts (Shinto) so you become a better QI fighter in one discipline, rather than a mixture of both red and blue QI boost stats, at least initially given how long they take to do all the run throughs. My blue stats from settlement buildings are better so I'm a blue team fighter in QI, but picking a "side" is definitely the way forward, and I'm slogging through Mughals currently to add to my blue boosts.
Thanks for the feedback on audio. It was a bit hot, but I finally figured out that OBS defaults a mono microphone to 7.1 surround! IMHO they should never do that for a default as a single mic source. Anyway, better audio ahead. And I'm starting another channel called The Sleep Voice Guy
The hard part is being honest about what you are looking for in a guild. Once you figure that out, you can find the guild that suits you. I got unlucky when I first started a few months ago. I got into a guild full of older players who were less active because they were angry about the direction the game was going. Luckily I found a new guild who is excited still about the game and isn't pessimistic about the future of forge of empires. Sure there has been a lot of monetization of the game and power creep but as long as you find a group of friendly people who work together well, you'll still enjoy the game for a long time.
I'm a new player and joined a good guild, several very active players who helped me build a few good GB with unfair trades. I got an offer from a very high level player to apply to join their guild and because of your video I went ahead and made the switch. OMG my new guild leaders completely fill all my guild and military GBs up to level 80. Since I barely got the prints I'm near level 10 so that is just priceless. Well its not I could figure it out but don't want too :) Anyway TY for giving me the courage to change to a guild that fits me better. I left my old guild on good terms, they understood.
Wow I’m so glad the video helped your game! It’s TRULY a game changer when you find the right fit. If you are a daily player on the climb, just about any guilds in the top 25 would take you on, but I think most players don’t get that.
Newbie here, slowly gaining traction, and this episode really has a lot of good content for me. I literally don't know how I got into my guild, lol, but it seems like a good fit if my ranking is any sign. I'm not very good at reaching out, and it took me a while just to look at and figure out the message board. Just now trying to learn how to do guild swaps, and trying the settlements again. I guess I joined just as a lot of changes occurred a few months ago- the settlements, GvG, QE; it's been a lot to digest! Appreciate the content, Cheers!
Changes have been supersonic. How's it going now? I took a month off. The key to this game (foundational) is understanding the role of the Arc and related math with GB leveling. Master that and level up your Arc as fast as you can and all else becomes easier.
As a guild leader of a top guild. Inno has made it very difficult on us. With now 3 legitimate functions that effect guild standings and one of those being heavily favoring big spenders (QI). It's hard to balance what to require from our members to remain competitive. Honestly asking a guild to be competitive in all 3 is almost too much especially with QI being so monetized. Big spenders can pretty much solo QI. Which is absurd that they set it up that way. I believe burnout will be much more prevalent with these 3 functions. QI needed more time in Beta for balancing. As for goods in guild. We always unfair trade for GBs. We don't charge FPs from other guildmates the only exception is SaT goods for above lvl 10 Sat buildings. And I do think we have SaT players giving those free at times too, but it's a big ask considering we have 78 members.
I'm fully tracking with you on the QI distraction/overload. I don't have time to add QI to my plate, so I'm not sure if my home guild (Roughnecks) is going to require QI here soon or not. We are very GbG focused. Glad to hear your guild has that help factor for goods.

Mailia told me I was too generous. I only have 6 million points but I am one of the leaders of a diamond league guild on us29 Dilmun. I regularly give out forge points for contests for GBG, QI, holidays, etc. Just yesterday I dumped like 150 fp on someone's Arc for no reason just to be generous because it was lvl 6, flipped to 7. Wasn't even a guildie, I had just added him to friends to take some trades he had posted. I spend a ton of FP helping others even though I am not super well setup. But that is how I like to play the game. I was in a guild once on us22, Wyld Pixie Sanctuary, where they did weekly random trivia for 500 forge points and monthly challenges for other things. Loved all those rewards as one of the lesser players in the guild. And now I'm building that experience for others
And that's a great way to play your game if your guild is on board. When Inno first marketed this game they said 'you can be a trader, fighter or builder'. It was somewhat setup initially to focus on tracks. Since then it's just gotten to be a lot of everything.
My guild is ranked 2 in my world, heavy GBG requirements. I don’t really ask for help or talk much with my guild mates. Leadership is ok, I think some of the people in my guild don’t have a real life. Super sad
I love my guild. I am in a Top10 guild on the server but they are realy generous. I got the goods for my blue galaxy and AO gifted. There is a guild goods crisis on the server at the moment. How does my guild deal with this? They payed me 30 levels of my observatory. There was a competition with a huge pricepool for everyone who raised there guild LBs about 50 levels in a month. It's awesome.
Any guild I've been in I gift gods for any age. Usual cost is 1 of their goods for 2 of mine trade BA for SAT or in-between is good. I never expect FPs from guildies

Exactly, I'm replacing Sents eventually with the Cider Garen flywheel. Since I get Rogues in SAT from Ciders I think SAT is the right era to really leverage this workaround. Already deleted my traz.
Not sure if I'd say sad . But I've got a guild full of stumps. Not one of my guild members is playing even the basics of the game. Deadwood . The problem is i don't want to kick em out . But they refuse to do anything at all.
My .02 is that if you are running a guild without any other involved/worth stakeholders in leadership, start over and make it your own. Good guilds kick players for not meeting guidelines. If you want to make new guidelines and then kick them out you can take that 'management approach' as well :) I have run guilds myself, but most of happiest players I know join guilds that match their playing style and desires. Or build it.

My guild has three players. We're always getting requestes to join others. We hate fighting so we just upgrade our gbs.

This is a great example how a good guild really helps with more than just words. Generous actions are super important.
