Dude... some of us really want to drive competitively...we know the racing lines, but hate stick flicking, and don't want or can't afford a huge wheel setup. As you can see from the comments, lots of us have had the same idea. You'd better pitch this to someone before someone else does. We need this.
Remember how I was saying you were way better at this than me, and you were talking yourself down in response? Yeah, you can shut your mouth now. This is SPECTACULAR work.
why is this not a thing anymore in 1998 there was a game called Real Race which used a serial port for the joy stick which was a literal RC controller like the one you have why cant we find things like this still
for any of you loving this amazing project, you can achieve similar or even better integration by just pluging in a Flysky G7P to a windows PC, as it will be recognised as a game controller!
I want it !!! Thought about making it myself... but i could never make that work!! Im a rc driver and sim driver.. would love to combine it like that!! Great job!!
If that menu mode switch isn't hard-coded, you could use action sets in Steam for a great many applications. Even in Rocket League where it goes to action sets automatically you can still use layers.
Is there an article for xbox one S? I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I don’t really want a bulky steering wheel setup. The rc style is idle for console. Not sure why this hasn’t caught on.
odd question, but i have the same transmitter and it plugs into a pc by use of the flysky sm-100 cable but it seems to only work with some games (rc sim 2 for example) and i would like to be able to use it in other games and still use it as my main transmitter as i am currently, if anyone could lend a hand i would be very grateful
I used to play beamng on my CPU with a N64 Ultraracer controller connected to a USB converter which is a similar concept - better vehicle control than a gamepad but doesn't take up space when you're not using it like a full racing wheel setup. The problem is that the Ultraracer controllers are garbage & they only last for about 2 - 3 years...
many many thanks for your XInput library, i've used in on a few projects now, so time to start documenting them .. this is the earliest and simplest one - build an Arduino Joystick-to-Xbox360-controller hardware adapter (DirectInput to XInput) - ruclips.net/video/u9Xae6atRJo/видео.html
I would totally buy one of those, i race rc cars competitively and play fh4 so this would be the most awesome thing ever
I'm so sick of stick flicking.... someone needs to do this commercially. I searched for this specifically, and here you are.
I love this, you could probably even sell this!
yeah its a good project. congrats 👏

Thanks man, that means a lot. ❤️
You basically made and coded your own XBOX controller. Well done! Excellent video.

This is amazing. Well done! If you do decide to sell these I'd buy. Haha. Since I lost hope after you said you installed two more buttons 😂

finally, no need for $1000 dollars worth of equipment and a mortgage for an extra room to drive digital cars i already cant afford.
I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers, you do greats videos 👍
more people need to see this
Dude! You need to sell these cause I want one!

I see a Video of Dave, i like
I had this idea over 10 years ago, I am so glad someone finally did it!
Is there a commercial version of this available?
I did the same thing but wire and only works for beamng drive as it is a custom input map
Well done!
Thanks! I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I'm pretty sure if you just go into your PC controller settings you can configure the PC to register it as a regular USB controller
How much will you sell this for? I just had this idea tonight
I looked this up becuse fine steering inputs for driving is a big weakness of the xbox controler
i came from reddit
