NEW ESSENCES for BARBARIAN - Wrath CD Trick & Whirl changes for PvE / PvP Builds in Diablo Immortal

Finally!!! We got new stuff to play around for our most loved class the Barbarian. Six new essences, some skill adjustments and new build possibilities for pve and pvp. In one of my last videos I tried to guess what comes next, and well... maaan I was far, far away, hehe.
Whirlwind it is and another Wrath mode. But will this change the current Meta & will there be a new pvp standard?

you can have wotb at 100% uptime for the 50% crit rate with these new essances.. With 2 piece vithu and duration of beneficial effects reforge on every piece of gear and 3 gem essances unlocked that i use wotb skills on, plus skill cooldown reduction from gear magic i already have my wotb starting with a 21 sec cooldown and it lasts for 15 seconds. so only 6 sec of no 50% crit. with the new essances you can have wotb be up 100% of the time

Unfortunately the most expensive 2 star gem on our server called pain clasp loses its value when we swap to crit on offhand.
In general true, but as nrly everyone plays vipers its fine.
use pain clasp on helm or shoulder for the botw extended duration and cooldown.
30% duration of beneficial effects from 2 piece vithu, 24% from 8 reforges stones, and 12% from blessed pebble gem = 66% beneficial effects duration. + 15% from chest and pants magic (7.5% from each) 81% total from that. i have 6% on my secondary belt and 7.5 from sec glove = 94% duration buff. add the 39% duration buff from lasting haste helm and you get 133% duration buff which = 16 second wotb duration :)
with the new cooldown starting at 25 sec, the real cooldown will be 17 seconds with the cooldown duration buffs instead of 21 sec, with a 16 second duration. thats a 99% uptime :)
Got the new WW. It's actually really awesome. It works with shields which is really cool. It's also 2% of "current life" which is also notable since it means it can still be maintained at lower life.
4pc Vithus and 4pc Mountebank's is working really well. I don't think my lifechas even dropped between Mountebank's, cat pet shield, Invocation shield, and Warden shield.
I have the Inf5 main hand and chest so far. Critting non stop and never running out of energy is pretty fun so far, at the very least!
Got 5/6 too. Awesome stuff. They tricked us xD

@@CRAINE-Plays have you noticed if the new WW slows you down? It says it no longer slow your speed but during a Sprint, WW feels like it's a little slower than just running.
Well, its funny ^^ it goes down to base movement speed. So it ignores the hidden wrath movement speed. But if you use sprint, u will see that u are faster. So yea, it removes the bonus that shouldn't be there anyway xD

also i got the unlimited whirlwind esseance and its really fun with the 95% uptime wotb and the bleed whirwind shoulders and chest and wotb bleed weapon damage boost. been playing with it all morning.
Dmg is far better, but is it good enough for pvp? I'm Not sure.
i can confirm that with the new 25 sec wotb, we can have it start with a 17 second cooldown and its active for 16 seconds with all the beneficial effects duration boosted. up for 95% of the time :) and with more skill cooldown gear magic buffs we can get it to be up for the entire time
But not in pvp sadly. Only pve
Looks like we have some testing to do. Wonder if grabbing life from chain essence will be possible to extend WW. I prefer not to use WW but what ever works best.

They keep making the barbarian worse and worse for pvp but stronger in pve. I played barbarian because of the speed and now I can't use sprint inside the battlegrounds because I am forced to use demoralizing shout! On top of that I am also forced to use my 3 awakened 2 star gems to lower the damn demoralizing shout cooldown. During whirlwind we should be immune to cc! That's just common sense.
Ya I agree, sprint needs to be reworked. WW with CC immunity would be brutal xD. Lets see how the new combinations work. Looking forward to the wrath Crit chance build for pvp. Combined with Selena Leap and many dots (Banq, viper, etc), this can truly hurt.
I'd say Barb has gotten better many times in PVP since hell 8.
So we're in a good spot now, just have to see how viable a life drain WW works in PVP. Not holding my breath there but we'll see.
New Life drain offhand essence cannot be used with sundered legacy. A big setback because it renders all my banquet of eyes set and other continual damage boost green items useless.
Use Vipers Gem then its all good. Even can be used as aux gem. Already good enough.
I sort of remember Crit chance buff doesn’t stack from different gear, they take the highest. So is there a point to have so many gear with Crit chance buff?
It depends and we need to see ^^ there are two different ways for buffs. Like a flat crit chance will normally stack, but in general it is calculated as follow: crit + 22.5% (like gloom) leaves a 77.5% to not crit. If have another crit chance from like paragon of 7%, this 77.5% is the new base. So all other no critters have another 7% now to hit. In summary you will not get the full 7% when calculated on the full 100% of hits, only like 4-5%. Its a bit complicated but I hope it helps to understand the stacking ^^. Of course some skill arr just hardcored to "no stack". But that we need to see once the essences are available.
Cause I’ve been testing crit chance stacking using 4pc gloom and other gear. I noticed it doesn’t stack, they just take the highest crit chance.
Gloom stack (badly) with crit from legendaries but not with every skill essence. Its case dependent i think.

Where do these essences come from? I can’t seem to get them. Fallow axe and cliff divers seem do not exist for me.

Poor guy :( push trial of the hordes and lottery everyday. Horded gives u item choice boxes.
@@CRAINE-Plays well, that’s a great idea. Thanks. I won it once and didn’t think the rewards worth the time and effort. So I usually just do enough for the achievement rewards. Now I see a reason to hit gold and top 100.

In the patchnotes ^^ they will come into the game Wednesday to Thursday.
Okay damn looking forward to it then it’s about time we get some new essences.
