I had recorded the first episode of this series on a MEDIUM galaxy, then decided to restart on a LARGE galaxy because I thought it would work better. This is the "true" episode #1, but apparently I had accidentally uploaded both. Sorry for the confusion!
4:30 since this is a reroll, let me reiterate my recommendation from the fake episode one: i recommend the "no clustered starts" mod. basically, it evenly spreads everyone out by increasing the minimum distance between empires. this way 18 empires aren't sharing 50% of the galaxy while the fanatic purifier has the other 50% to itself.
@@hoabinh555 If only Quill would look his precursors up. I mean, you can't know everything. But the precursor chain happens once a game. And the "new" ones (that came with Ancient Relics) are quite different.
would be better if you use the explore option and just survey systems that has planets. then you can just survey all systems in between the suitable planet, also save the influence so you can get there.
You should start an investigation into the events leading up to the doom of your homeworld by passing the Extradimensional Experimentation galactic reform
Well, you can also become the crisis. But apart from that, I once had the opportunity to have the council declare a certain empire "a crisis" for the whole galaxy. Turns out that if this passes the whole galactic community will go after them. It only stops when they are completely torn apart. So peacefully cruel. It was fanatic purifiers, though. They had it coming.
Hopefully the human civilization doesn't have the Doomsday modifier!... though I doubt the planet would explode, there are plenty of other ways to trigger an existential crisis... or maybe we're just obsessed with post apocalyptic TV shows.
As a Star Trek nerd, "galactic Northeast" is actually the Delta Quadrant. In other words, when you become cyborgs, you can truly be the Borg Collective! Sorry, just had to nitpick.
Don't think so. Habitat tech is Tier 3, so you would need at LEAST 12 techs (6 tier 1, 6 tier 2) before you could get it. So min 13 techs from the start, plus the 6 year build time for the habitat. Stefan Anon got a dyson spere in 66 years, but that was a really really optimised build, and used the ring world start, which is really strong for science.
Tiny Outliner (or something very much like it). It is awesome. There are more mods like it like tiny leaders, tiny ship designer etc. I can't understand the terrible decision to make the UI so bloated and waste so much space for absolutely no reason or benefit.
@@gressorialNanites You're welcome, and you won't regret getting it. Except that everytime you watch a video or stream where someone isn't using it you just want to scream because it's so neccessary. :p
The only way to play is with guaranteed habitables off. Game's too easy as is. Yoi can sell excess food and consumer goods to get your 2nd science ship up and running faster.
WARNING: Don’t watch this video unless you don’t mind wasting your time! He’ll never finish the series. He gets to episode 21 then gives up. You’re welcome.

You are fine!!!!
It's a testament to your craft that you can explain the exact same thing multiple times without sounding dejected.
So you died really quickly on the last one and wanted to have another shot?
I enjoyed the previous one as well :) but that one was awesome as well
Hmm guess teh other one was definately the shortest Stellaris series ever :D
That would be the Delta Quadrant....Trifecta is the word you were searching for.

In my mind all of the movies being played in the holo theater are doomsday movies (like the core, 2012, Armageddon, etc.)
But if they’re a high science-aptitude species, why would they create or watch movies with such horribly bad science?
Doomsday "Going to be trouble finding habitable planets". Immediately finds the Grunuur.
Not going to be a problem I think :p
Mistakes were made.... "yeah, let's experiment with this planet. It's fine, what could possibly go wrong?"
Very lucky to get the Baol. Free Gaia planets!
Everybody is lucky with enough rerolls
New CDDA . . . Frank. With updated sprites. You can see your clothes, hair, skin, and people look different 'crowd gasps' that's right Quill!
Ok, restart... yeah no worries. I'm just stoked for more Stellaris content!
Cheers! Ivan :D
Oh, so essentially the Sophons from Endless Space? Got it.
Love those crazy scientific bastards.
You possibly got one of the best precursors for this run - pretty much any run where you're a free haven.
Nice, the right precursor for this one I'd say.
As I argued on the untrue first episode, the Baol could make this very good. But you have to excavate them first.
Yeah, don't remember how long that chain takes but after it'll be a life saver.

At least it’s based on bouncing from one Archeo site to another, instead of relying on random finds.

It would certainly be in-character for this society.
That Scenario description sounds awfully Kerbal to me.
wait... am I reliving this episode?
Edit: no... looks like a reroll.
You did roll the precursor that can make that nearby ocean into a gaia, so you're not gonna completely die at least
The backstory of your Empire reminds me of the Sophons from Endless Space 2. Its the same kind of fun :D
Mistakes Were Made - Indeed :P
Excited for more, hopefully this run survives the cut!

He became the crisis on his last LP
There are no doomsday mistakes... only happy accidents. 😁
This is a great idea for a series! Thanks!
I almost feel like the Baol will be too powerful for overcoming the challenge of the campaign
It will take quite a while before he can finish them however. Especially if he's unlucky with the digsite spawns.
I guess we’re all very confused together lol
i am pretty darn sure i seen this yesterday quill, cause i know i did since i told ya it be good idea to live like Quarians
This is nuts but so great!
My brain hurts, did I wake up in an alternate universe?
they dug too deep? Like the Dwarves in Moria? (sorry, rereading The Lord of the Rings)

This is what could possibly go wrong.
Have I gone insane?
Dude always love your videos, keep it going!
Hat trick . for the three of a kind science
Perhaps they put a large magnifying glass into space to focus the home star's power.
*Belgian Jedi Mind Tricks* This is the episode you are looking for. lol
LOL So we are pretending episode 1 didn't happen.. I'm cool with it haha
Edge of Tomorrow vibes
We killed off a major part off bies.

Same…but different
Deja vu
Can’t you get habitats within 30 years or am I crazy?

Does anyone know what's the name of the Outliner mod Quill has going?

Hey Quill...do you have some MOD or expansion that makes you Galaxy map look like it does.
if youre not playing with 300 mods youre not playing stellaris
hahaahahaaha
